  1. It would’ve been so much better if they removed Speedy’s Taxi’s and made a big expansion with 1-2 more kids rides on top of this one but I'm glad atleast something is happening. I’m also glad they didn’t touch the little hedged garden area, it is a very pretty and relaxing corner
  2. 90% of Dragster’s rollbacks are from other factors besides a mechanical fault (wind, cold mornings.) Whereas the video of Red Force is to do with a mechanical error - hence why it slows down quickly and doesn’t go high up the top hat. Accelerators with guests on board still only make it a couple metres off the ground if it was a mechanical and not weather related rollback. I’d suggest trying to get a grip on common sense concepts, rather then spitting out incorrect statements and trying to back them up with empty, negative points.
  3. there is a pay option but there should also be a normal option unless it is turned off for the day (which happens when crowds are heavy.) anyways, while you’re in the park go onto this page, click the blue virtual queue pass (pictures below) and activate the session. If Virtual Queue is open for the day it’ll allow you to line up but if not, the pay version will be the only one available
  4. Red Force safely slowing down to keep riders safe backs up the claim it isn’t as good as TTD? okay…
  5. There would’ve been a problem during the launch therefor making the LSM’s slow the train down instead of launching it over the top hat, that’s a lot safer of a system then potentially making it stall at the top or continue the rest of the ride if something is wrong…
  6. im just saying if it was bad enough for them to get into trouble about it then clearly some improvements will be made. Anyways, this is a topic about different rides at a different park.. let’s not get too off topic before this thread will probably get shut down too
  7. I think the difference is that they need to hav wit up to standard for it to be operating again under the current licensing, meaning someone will probably be sent out to check it prior to reopening.
  8. I had the idea of the water features from the concept arts but due to how far off they’ve been i just meant any water features at all. I do wonder though (unless there is another known purpose), i wonder if that’s what the circular ring around the ride is for?
  9. Vortex has a water feature just not an interactive one.
  10. I will say the area does look very nice, however this part i'm not liking as much (as it currently is, it may change prior to opening.) Tridents building colour looks very ugly with the Tarmac not suiting it at all (also kinda thought it would’ve been a water type of feature instead of grass which is a shame.) Who knows, hopefully it’ll look better when the area opens / looks better in person. Also, any word if the water effect will be present on Trident?
  11. Is the ride system itself being improved? i thought it would only be to fix the rides effects, screens and theming that hasn’t been maintained well to get it back up to standard for the licensing agreement.
  12. Each event since the rides construction finished the ride has been lit up a different colour (Red, Purple / Pink, Green so far) so i’d say this is the rides lighting but they can change it to whatever they want.
  13. not surprising but Doomsday is now down.
  14. after attending the event as a guest i will say i found this year to be a massive improvement overall. Heres a mini review / maze rankings for anyone still wondering if they should go or not; Precincts: bad: Purgatory and Pain Street. Both of the areas actors were tame, by 8:00pm they seemed over it and were only standing around scaring some people every once in a while. okay: Viral This area really is to just get you while you’re still jumpy from the mazes, which is successful most of the time. It wasn’t meant to be great but still enjoyable. good: Kill Eye This area wasn’t very scary however it had great vibes and actors but overall did lack a sense of fear and was just very fun instead. great: Reaper County This area really was one of the best they’ve had in a while, the actors were very engaging, fun and delivered good scares and even had good theming throughout with a great soundtrack. Maze Ranking: 5. Zombie-land Double Tap (3/10) 1x 5min wait a lot of the spots were actors were in 2019 were replaced by mannequins, around 2 dull actors present. Truck scene was removed which use to deliver great jumps and it had declined a lot from the past year. 4. Doll Haus (5/10) 1x 10min wait This use to be my favourite but it seemed different this year, less scares (most still good when they hit) but just didn’t amaze me as much as last time. 3. IT (6/10) 1x 30min wait Didn’t do this maze in 2019 but it was really enjoyable, actors were great and so was the set design. I wish more actors were present in some scenes but the ending definitely delivered. 2. Conjuring Universe (8/10) 2x 50min wait, walk on. It was a really great maze. The actors delivered great scares (crooked man actor / animatronic? seemed very out of time), but wow. The set designs were accurate to the movies and i enjoyed it a lot. 1. Death Row (9.5/10) 15min wait, walk on. Just wow, i’ve heard this one gets mixed reviews but i loved it. The scares delivered, set design was good and creepy, the actors portrayed their roles great. Definitely hope they don’t dull this one down next year. Crowd Levels The crowd was definitely a lot less then previous years, more space to move around the pathways, less waits for everything and within the last 45mins everything was less then a 5min wait. Overall, Im glad the event is improving, i hope they continue this next year and deliver 3 new mazes as great as this years new mazes… i hope this helped anyone considering wether to go or not
  15. Exactly, it’s not the most blind blowing concept that the parks will be busies during the school holidays, you can’t go expecting crowds of a mid term school day, if you get that then it’s a pleasant surprised. Like Dreamworld (prior accident) queues were insane, HWSW opening year spiralled halfway down the staircase, TOT all the way out of the skull to the entrance sign, MDMC all filled sprawling out. People shouldn’t be so shocked
  16. I will say that article appears to be in the holidays where the park was smashed (expected considering it is school holidays.) DCR and Superman have both had two trains on, Green Lantern opened early and the line was moving very fast like normal, so i don’t think it is as bad as other school holidays within the past year. However, with Rivals valleying, Scooby’s guest caused accident and over issues, WWF having issues and other rides having normal breakdowns, it makes sense as to why guests are pissed.
  17. Doll Haus & Zombieland - 2019 location. Conjuring & Death Row - Leatherface & HOK 2019 shed. IT - 2019 location. Both WWF and AA entries are open but AA entry is only accessible through the walkway next to Scooby due to demolition. Panic rooms are also moved to the back of the park where the 4 mazes are. Not 100% sure but i think the Realscape experiences are located next to Rivals. Precincts; Purgatory - Front of the park Pain Street - Main Street Kill Eye - Area in front of Scooby and DD Reaper County - WWF area Viral - Back of the park where the mazes are located.
  18. and what exactly does this have to do with anything?
  19. I know they have family hybrids but it’s still too compact for them to do anything, half the track is hidden within the structure which is already huge to brace for our weather, it wouldn’t happen.
  20. I feel like the ride is too compact to be RMC’d, I don’t think it could physically be done. My guess is they would do a GCI refurb like Ghostrider at KBF.
  21. that’s the thing, compared to previous years the queue times and crowd levels weren’t bad at all. Like he said, IT was 1hr (2-3hrs previous event), Conjuring was only 20mins, Death Row was 15mins, Zombieland walk on (around 30mins-1hr previously) and Doll Haus was 20mins (1hr - 1.5hrs previously.) These times were in peak period as the mazes lines start shrinking towards the end of the event. With those wait times, they can all be done in 1hr and 55mins (excluding walking to and from), whereas last time people were only getting 1-2 mazes done in the entire night.
  22. I will say this year does seem like an improvement from 2019 but not an improvement in a way that it’s returned to its former glory. There seems to be more actors, better atmosphere in the precinct’s, and longer hours allowing for people to get more done.
  23. IT’s entrance has been moved to the HSWD entrance for better crowd control and now sprawling all over the pathways. Can also confirm around 6,000 tickets are being sold per night, i have no clue how that is compared to past events though
  24. Haven’t ridden a woodie but from what i’ve heard, wooden coasters are meant to be a bit rough it gives it character, but Jackhammering is what i’m worried about, which is what i’ve heard can absolutely ruin a ride such as Mine Blower and Hades 360. Off topic but i’ve never understood the hate, it’s such a fun coaster which rarely has a line and can lap easily.
  25. The first night has now been sold out.
