  1. they have to keep the green wrap handy for when Doomsday and GL go down....
  2. I know they say shoot for the stars.... but that is like me aspiring to be a unicorn.
  3. George & Jane are siblings from Tasmania and can’t wait to check out the Taboo Room
  4. What happens here exactly? Maybe a cross promotion with Tinder?
  5. Not specifically true. They are pushing to ensure that within public school catchment boundaries that there is at least one co-ed option available to parents, as currently there is a number of catchments where the only option is single-sex schools. I think thats a good thing. There will always be single-sex private schools, and a bunch of single-sex public schools too - its all about having choice for parents for what environment they think will best suit their child
  6. Pretty sure the resources allocated to this project are a little more than what was allocated to a path…
  7. Never heard a pre-record in any Aussie theme park tbh
  8. Yes was great (and surprising) to see it open tonight! So much better to get around
  9. Figured we’d head down as we had the free tickets booked with one passes, and it’s raining so hopefully it would keep some people away and allow for plenty of night riding on Levi. Levi lasted all of one cycle and now nothing for 15mins. No communication from any staff, just standing having a chat at ride entry with a full queue line and more entering guest services in all village parks is just complete shit these days
  10. The park told the event organisers that having only male staff would not be logistically possible. At that junction the event organiser needed to make a decision - move the event to a location that could meet their single sex requirement OR push ahead with the event and instruct their members/attendees of the situation and remind them of their obligation as citizens/residents/visitors to this great country that sexism, abuse and misogyny isn’t acceptable and won’t be tolerated. the event organisers failed in their duty, and the park will fail in their duty of care to employees if they allow the group to book in again.
  11. I love that this country is multicultural - but you don’t get to dictate what others do and wear to suit your ideology - regardless of what it is. Assimilate or leave. park management clearly choosing $$ over welfare of staff
  12. It’s anything like recent renders vs reality, we’ll get a fibreglsss Cessna and a shrub next to it
  13. Anything is better than HWSD the original was boring, 2.0 is an embarrassment we’ve all said for years that Mad Max is a perfect IP, but it won’t happen as its costs money and the status quo draws a crowd as people want a shaded seat while they have some snacks.
  14. For me - it’s included with my passes. if it wasn’t - then the chance to do the rides at night - especially Leviathan.
  15. My guess would be that ticket sales are underwhelming….
  16. If only they increased the budget by $200m or so and they could have got a clone…
  17. A Gold Coast theme park has began construction on a precinct which they say will “redefine family entertainment”, including a new roller coaster. Dreamworld announced on Tuesday they were beginning construction on their new Rivertown precinct, which was a part of their $55 million investment into the theme park. Rivertown will include a new family rollercoaster called the Jungle Rush. Dreamworld CEO Greg Yong said the precinct would also include a remake on the popular Vintage Cars attraction at the theme park – to be called Murrissippi Motors. “Rivertown is a testament to our commitment to innovation and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests,” he said. “This precinct represents the culmination of meticulous planning and creativity. “It’s the crowning jewel in our $55 million investment in Dreamworld, and really demonstrates our dedication to bringing world-class experiences to the Gold Coast.” The Jungle Rush was set to be the first of its kind in Australia because of its ride design which included different cycle paths. “Jungle Rush will be Dreamworld’s largest-ever investment in a single attraction, so it really is one for the record books.” https://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/news/gold-coast/dreamworld-begin-construction-on-rivertown-precinct-which-includes-new-ride-jungle-rush/news-story/88b709c32c908d6054e1bf6e439048ff?fbclid=IwAR3QPSLkDC6zqf7rvIwzQgXpL2QY2EfX-Q4htSEOlhywp-hD54ve5imSBMc_aem_AbyE2L1-Ut-A2WHv7DcTp01A1SoBtqMOFLyQLhT3FZqsX7i3VieAu-DysOSKJBwLI3s
  18. Yeah I had my first ride on that yesterday. Wait time was probably 45mins or so. they seemed short an op at tube collection as the life guard watching the double barrel splashdown was the one motioning for people to come get tubes for both slides and as you’d know that queue isn’t exactly close to there. on the tower due to the weird situation with tube collection, there was no bank up of people. When we walked to the top it was only us and the other 2 people up there. The ride op on the other tube was quite snappy at the 2 young kids as they trod into the tube rather than sitting into it. We had no issues as we are used to the sit in and swing your legs around process on most slides
  19. Credit where it’s due (after I complained about WWW’s horrible operations/cycle times last week). Went to WNW today for the first time in about 12 months. Was really impressed with how their dispatches have improved. From what I saw and experienced, Constrictor was pumping a tube through every 50-60 seconds. Watching from an ops perspective - in the past they’ve waited for the previous tubes guests to be out of the splashdown before hitting the button that gives the green light up top. Today running with 2 ops in the splashdown, that button was being pushed as soon as the op in the splashdown reached the tube and began assisting people out meaning quite regularly the next tube would come down into the splashdown just as the op was handing the previous tube over to the next in line. It meant that despite a full queue to the entrance, we were out with 40mins where previously that’s blown out to well over an hour Got my first ride on Kaboom, love the steepness of the drops however not sure if it was positional but on that first incline - yikes you can feel the joints between sections ricochet up your spine.
  20. Well they said it was a scarf, so you presume that means hijab/head scarf as I doubt anyone was trying to keep their neck warm at 32 degrees today…
  21. Speaks volumes for the lack of quality at the park currently then
  22. If that’s the store I wouldn’t be wasting the wages to staff it….
  23. Feel sorry for the TG staff, many of whom have had to now resign and seek other work
  24. I disregarded it because what you explained makes no logical sense. The operator WAS moving around the platform visually watching the tube (as I said in my original post) and was NOT watching the panel at all. Don’t be a self righteous wanker.
