  1. Tailspin down for unexpected issues, and now Claw too. was in the line and the ride had just begun (first swing) then they brought it to a stop and got everyone off. guy in queue next to me said to his family “let me guess, there are high winds…” Good to see that high wind closures have quickly become part of the theme park vernacular even at other parks…
  2. Wonder how payment will work as the old gold coin isn’t as prevalent in peoples pockets as it once was. I’m assuming it will have tap card payments - $2 for 2mins or something similar
  3. Can a mod fix the spelling mistake in the thread title? Because it seems poor spelling is contagious. Don’t all phones have auto spell check these days??
  4. Carnivalle at MW was fantastic. whilst it’s not horrible at SW I think it’s fallen into repetitive mode like FN & WC had over the last few years. By all accounts WC is a marked improvement this year (I’ll be checking it out next week) so hopefully Carnivalle get a decent update/refresh for 2024
  5. Yeah, as discussed it was updated just before their visit last week
  6. When I rode last week the Flash wind effect was working, as was the smoke projection. the spaceship scene was all out of whack and the guns had deactivated just prior to us getting to there so wasn’t focused on the background Audio
  7. Emma left the Wiggles and was replaced Oct 2021. the sign still had Emma on it 2-3 weeks ago when I was last there, so it’s only a recent change.
  8. All well and good, but that is the reality of what it was today. I’ve probably ridden WWF about 100 times. usually the water level between the geyser, past the broken bridge towards the teepees is about 20cm below the trough lip. You might cop the odd bump in that section, but today the water was at least 40cm, maybe more below the lip, and you could feel the wheel bumping along the bottom the whole way and the boat hitting the curves hard due to less buoyancy. The water level in the western town if anything was higher that usual - water was over the trough lip in a couple of areas and water was spilling out
  9. I wouldn’t think they’d be doing peoples lap belts up as standard practice.
  10. Oh I agree, I wasn’t saying the park was being irresponsible, just making an observation that the water level was lower than usual. I have no doubts the ride would have been closed if the situation was deemed unsafe.
  11. As I stated, It was only in the one section between the turn around/geyser and the Indian teepees, water level was fine through the western town. other thing I found strange was no attendant in the little room to the left at the start of the lift hill. Usually you can clearly see them and the cctv cameras they are monitoring. No one there today.
  12. Wild West Falls is a shit show today. only 2 or 3 boats on the track at any time. water levels too low between the backwards drop and Indian teepees so you are literally rolling on the concrete which is not great for your back. Audio track skipping and looping the skip through western town, most of the effects not working at all. No lights, sounds or screens for the entirety of the lift hill or turntable JL is about 80% working Lasers stopped working before final scene. Scene didn’t play out until we had passed it. no ride photos
  13. So Ten is great because they have sports coverage? They pay exorbitant $$$ for sports because they brings viewership regardless of what channel it’s on, and what does viewership bring? Ad revenue. that’s why Ten is going all out for sports, because they cannot draw a market to any of their original productions, so without sports they’d be dead in the water. it’s a moot point, but a ten/paramount re-theme of Movie World is horrendous. You don’t theme your park to the worst performing commercial station in the country (by a long shot)
  14. No one wants to be aligned with Ten. They are an abomination of a failure in every sense. Everything they touch turns to shit
  15. I’m pretty certain no one else needs to write that SW should have had a soft opening/technical rehearsal period prior to formally launching Atlantis. By all means provide updates about the precinct opening etc as news comes to hand, but there only so many ways anyone can re-state what’s been written in the last 10 pages…
  16. They wouldn’t be keeping the ride closed purely due to not being able to run a 2 train operation, they’d just run one train like they will for 80% of the year anyway
  17. Cheers @DaptoFunlandGuy great read of a location I’d love to get to one day Also appreciate the Eleanor reference that will likely be lost on many here
  18. You have too much time on your hands. it’s also “apologise” we are not America.
  19. Stupid use of that saying. it doesn’t look like duct date, it doesn’t function as duct tape, so it’s not duct tape. it’s also not temporary and shouldn’t be removed
  20. Does the key open up The New Atlantis?
  21. I don’t particularly get it either. Just figured for $25 it may be worth it down the track in some way, and willing to risk that if it’s not. Yep, but village passes don’t get in park discounts
  22. Yeah same, willing to spend the $25 for the potential of the thing. But won’t let me purchase.
