Movie World including the DC Rivals HyperCoaster - the tallest, longest and fastest HyperCoaster in the Southern Hemisphere - which would provide the perfect adrenaline hit. “Over at Paradise Country, we have also welcomed some inquisitive new animals including meerkats and marmosets and they would love to meet Taylor and share some of their conservation efforts.” Mr Kirby’s Village Roadshow invite comes as Queensland clamours to attract Swift and NFL star partner Travis Kelce. I’m not talking about ride lineup, that’s not the magic magic is atmosphere, interaction, experience it’s all lacking. from dead zones, to ride ops who look and act like they wish they were not there, to lack of upkeep, to closed shops and food outlets. to take one thing in isolation from yesterday - the 3pm parade. It was over and done with in 7 minutes. - no floats stopped, no characters got off floats to interact, half the floats were not there with the characters just walking (no scooby van, no joker, no Supergirl, no justice league), literally just went down turned around and went out the back Where the f**k is the magic in that? I remember 6 or so years back everyone decanting from the floats, dancing, taking photos. I remember Bugs lifting my toddler son up and dancing with him and the joy in my son’s eyes. Nothing now. Gone.

2 hours here and i’m calling it - movieworld is now the worst theme park in the country, by a decent margin hopefully Oz and and a reopening Scooby make a difference but there is no magic left here

Not a single thing working in Villains area except the killer croc water feature which is on constant run. whats more disappointing for me as a Batman fan is seeing the lack of care and upkeep on the Batman legacy walk thru. genuine movie props scratched up by idiots, but I get you can’t fully control that, but you can use a duster once in a while on the cowls… horrendous

I don’t know but this place needs “something” thought we’d pop in this afternoon, my first daytime visit in about 12 months. Dead, less people and far less atmosphere than dreamworld. once you pass Gotham burgers, it’s a dead zone to Wild West with not a single thing open except the carnival games which no one was using. Walked past maybe 10 people. Wild West queue 10-15mins despite the open attraction list being small. 2 years ago on a 30 degree summer weekend you’d be waiting 90mins plus

Not specifically true. They are pushing to ensure that within public school catchment boundaries that there is at least one co-ed option available to parents, as currently there is a number of catchments where the only option is single-sex schools. I think thats a good thing. There will always be single-sex private schools, and a bunch of single-sex public schools too - its all about having choice for parents for what environment they think will best suit their child

Figured we’d head down as we had the free tickets booked with one passes, and it’s raining so hopefully it would keep some people away and allow for plenty of night riding on Levi. Levi lasted all of one cycle and now nothing for 15mins. No communication from any staff, just standing having a chat at ride entry with a full queue line and more entering guest services in all village parks is just complete shit these days

The park told the event organisers that having only male staff would not be logistically possible. At that junction the event organiser needed to make a decision - move the event to a location that could meet their single sex requirement OR push ahead with the event and instruct their members/attendees of the situation and remind them of their obligation as citizens/residents/visitors to this great country that sexism, abuse and misogyny isn’t acceptable and won’t be tolerated. the event organisers failed in their duty, and the park will fail in their duty of care to employees if they allow the group to book in again.
