  1. You’re missing the shipping expenses which are large, and the much higher labour costs. Also missing the cost of removing Arkham. I reckon you’re probably looking at less than half your estimate being left over
  2. I’m not sure if 2 people are enough to classify it as “common”. I rode the train twice on the weekend, there was no warning over the speakers whatsoever. Maybe they just play it after they see people hitting their heads… I don’t think it’s an issue anymore so than people walking into poles as they are too busy looking at their phones…. My son used to always run into things, thankfully he grew out of the toddler stage.
  3. I typically look where I’m going and then hitting my head gets harder to accomplish… If you didn’t learn to adapt from the actual experience and pain of hitting your head multiple times, I doubt some form of verbal announcement is going to change anything
  4. Given the issues with staffing and covid, and that appearing to be getting worse currently rather than better, i'm not expecting anymore than 4 mazes, and the likelihood that 3 may be repeated. Given we haven't had an FN in 3 years, i'm not expecting that to be much an issue for people really. I think IT will return, and we'll get a new Halloween themed maze with the final movie of the Jamie-Lee saga coming to an end with Halloween Ends releasing in October. The other 2 will be generic - i'd love to see the return of the Film Vault - i still believe that was their best original creation despite it being a decade ago now.
  5. Just gonna be 10 of these in the corner, for $2 a ride. Spared no expense,
  6. If that was the case they wouldn’t have just invested in new trains
  7. And making it somehow worse…. Huh? So they will gut the sound stage and start again? Sounds a fair assumption - what else would they do?
  8. Vekoma model the park is getting isn’t launched, you’ll find that’s just a mistake by the media (similar to Today Show this morning showing WWW in its package about VTP, as well as the reporter saying “2 family friendly rides and one thrill ride”).
  9. Wasn’t aware of that, but haven’t done a DW visit in a couple of months aside from a duck in to ride ST. That’s a real shame
  10. I love the concept, theme, ride choices. It’s now over to MW to deliver something that at least represents or reflects that artistic impression. And deliver it on time. They essentially have 30 months to complete it by 2024 (end of) and won’t have a pandemic or unexpected shipping/manufacturing timelines to fall back on this time around. also very happy to hear of investment in WB Kids - it has desperately needed it for many years now. If I had it may they bulldoze all but Road Runner and start afresh
  11. Cheers for the history lesson, that was actually interesting to read and something I wasn’t aware of. Sucks we won’t see TikTok stomping around! Dreamworks does have its own retail store right outside Escape from Madagascar, “Cargo Hold” from memory it’s called.
  12. https://fb.watch/emhO5JWxwk/?mibextid=CbyEMU thought it may have embedded the video but nope. Just a teaser by 7 news Gold Coast that a major announcement will be made tomorrow morning
  13. I personally feel Wizard is one of those unique IPs that transcend generations. If you have kids above 8 years old that don’t know Wizard of Oz you’re failing at parenting… (maybe not, but you get my point). now if only they theme one of the attractions to the often-forgotten, critically-panned but fantastic sequel Return to Oz, I’d be impressed beyond words. Jack Pumpkinhead’s Great Adventure! The Gump Takes Flight!
  14. If the theme is WoO as it appears, it marks a definitive change from the origin plans which clearly showed it being DC related, so maybe the actual plans regarding model/s of rides may have shifted too. Guess we’ll find out soon
  15. Yeh I am aware of that and have seen plenty of the cycles over time. But for instance the hanging strip lights that are in front of you immediately after the turntable room, they are usually all on regardless of the cycle - only 2 or 3 were on. if it was indeed a cycle I saw, then it’s a failure by management to accept a room with only a couple of lights in the whole thing as an acceptable “cycle”.
  16. What a disaster this park has become Superman - water scene not working Scooby - screens in lift not working - turntable room zero lighting or sound - lights in disco room about 20% working - no ride photos Justice League - Audio sync completely out of time with screens in loading area - 8 out of 10 physical targets not responding to being shot (no score, no vibration feedback and light doesn’t turn off) - 4 of the 5 screen scenes no image/projectors not working - no fog curtain or associated audio - as entering the spaceship scene the scores reset to zero, and the guns no longer emitted a laser for remainder of ride - no screen or Audio in final scene/photo - no ride photos - 2 ride vehicles on the track cycling roped off and not in use the ride seriously should not be operational. It’s literally pathetic. only positive of the day was my 9 year old having his first ever ride on Superman. He loved it, went to get the ride photo at the photo booth near park entry to commemorate the occasion as the kiosks were glitching out. Guy in the row in front of us had flipped the bird at the camera so we were told we’re unable to get the photo as they can’t give photos out if people are being rude… Asked if they could crop the photo to remove the moron, nope. No photo. FFS!!!
  17. You won’t get a large scale coaster in either of those 2 locations. one is too close to the studios, the other too close to neighbouring housing.
  18. Whilst I’m no expert in the field, the higher up sound emanates from the further the noise carries due to generally more “free air” for it to carry undisrupted. The lower to the ground, the more barriers or obstructions to dampen/dissipate sound as if travels (trees, fences, buildings etc) that all could be complete bullshit I have created in my head, but it’s my understanding of it.
  19. It’s becoming a pattern with you that if anyone disagrees with a suggestion you make, or provides realistic reasons why something isn’t possible, you get all butt hurt. none of the responses to you were anything other than “chill”.
  20. Fair enough. If you classify a racing coaster as 2 separate coasters then sure, it’s 3 I’m getting old, what can I say. I guess I’m my head duelling coasters are 1 attraction, but yes, 2 slightly different experiences. 3 it is.
