  1. I thought that changed since Fully 4 opened...
  2. I’m at work so haven’t been able to watch it, I’ll get to it tomorrow, however it seems it is exactly what I thought it would be (and was 110% assured wouldn’t be the case)...
  3. Looks fantastic. Not sure about the OP on Instagram encouraging people to book the cheap flights to the GC to ride it soon given it doesn’t open for 5+ months.
  4. Half. the other half was set up for an event with tables, stage etc
  5. Possibly, but they haven’t been there since the refurb, they’ve only appeared since my last visit 4-5 weeks ago
  6. When the Cubs are first put on display they are in that indoor display with windows for the public to view them through, to the right of The Den area. It’s currently behind the closed gate however
  7. Not sure where these statues were previously, but they are now in the middle of the Scooby queue line.
  8. No argument was being had, it was simply a discussion between adults with opposing viewpoints.
  9. iPlay is firmly in the market in Qld too with diversified option as well like clip & climb, high ropes etc
  10. Not in Australia and the majority of the GP will not have seen or ridden another. It’s unique in every way for the Australian theme park market.
  11. Welcome to Parkz, where it’s not just the rides that go off track... It has gone a little off track, but I’m sure a mod will come along soon and move some stuff into another thread. in the meantime, you’ll find the info about the demolition of the log ride in the thread all about it... here ->
  12. I know how a lot of things work too, but i'm not going to jump on a forum and say "i know everything, believe me" with zero credible facts/statements/figures to back up what i am saying or who i am. Given the scandalous and agenda-driven, downright pathetic at times, integrity of the MSM in this country, and the world for that matter, the onus of proof is on them to show they are not being insensitive, conniving and tactless. Let's see what appears on our screens on Sunday. Their entire tagline is based around getting the family together to watch the show - which includes children - so if they focus on people dying - that is called instilling fear where fear does not need to be instilled, which will prove my point entirely. Lets reconvene this conversation on Sunday night....
  13. A human interest story? TRRR happened near on 4 years ago. Do you think the family want another headline in the paper? More footage on the tv? They've concluded the official processes, its done with. If this was not designed to get fear mongering about theme parks back on agenda, it would have been released at the same time as the inquest, not months and months later when the chatter about dangers and deaths had gone away. Its a shock piece, it's designed to smash a struggling covid-hit injury for a producer to get some props from like minded egomaniacs.
  14. based on what? do you work for channel 7? are you producing this fluff piece? if not - you are just someone with an opinion, and whilst you're 100% welcome to it, giving it a 110% guarantee of accuracy is both naive and superfluous.
  15. People know they can die in any kind of way. Its unlikely you'll die in a car crash, its unlikely you'll die in house fire, its unlikely you'll die of a diagnosed allergic reaction to shellfish, it's unlikely you go to work and get caught in a piece of machinery and die - but these things happen - and all more often that accidents occur in theme parks.
  16. I'm sure if you work in the MSM, or are just an apologist for them, but this: absolutely does happen. It's not necessarily about screwing the parks business - its about creating "impact" which is visually measurable. So then for the next 10 years the journalists can say to anyone that cares to listen "hey do you remember when I did that fluff piece on theme parks, and following it attendance dropped 10% below expectations? I have cut-through, i have power, i create change". I I I, Me Me Me. The media game is entirely based upon one-up-manship and ego. They will say and do anything to gain traction, notoriety and engagement, and do not give an ounce of care of who they tread on in their pursuit of "glory".
  17. As someone who did all the chores imaginable to be able to buy the original Sonic for my Sega Master System 2 back in i'm gonna go with 91 or 92 (i think, release dates escape me but hell, i was like 7), i havent really continued with a fondness for Sonic outside of the original 2 games. However, my son really likes Sonic now, and its definitely a growing IP again. The movie was actually pretty good imo... once they went back and redesigned Sonic after the horrendous first reveal trailer. Sonic will never be better than Mario, but the IP still holds enough sway be it nostalgically or with its growing modern relevance to be a strong attraction point if something was to get off the ground.
  18. Yeah should have been more specific, definitely speaking of the car park entry sign Yeah I think that’s being overlooked. There is often multiple nights each week the park hosts private events or corporate functions
  19. I loved it. Probably fit in 4-5 visits in the time it was open. Rail chase coaster I think it was called was a heap of fun, as was the ghost hunters vr game which was ahead of its time for what we had in Australia. Late nights were fantastic with a bit of a nightclub vibe as well
  20. its probably obsolete because it was meant to be 'channel' as well.....
  21. pretty sure its going be memorabilia/throwbacks of the last 30 years as part of Hooray for Hollywood
  22. probably would have been better off spending the time working on your grammar and spelling....
  23. until they stick a xmas tree on top of it. Driving past on the M1 today, it did take me back to something i raised probably a year or two back now - surely they can do something better with the entry sign? Its dated, faded, unwelcoming for mine. Maybe because I've been looking at it for 20 years, but i reckon they could do better, and the 30th anniversary would have been a great opportunity for an update to something more modern and flashy
