Feel free to delete my previous post, as I cannot do so myself. Photo dump: Went on the 12th, got some photos of any construction updates. First thing's first, they've added footers on either side of the entrance pathway, and 'completed' some footers for Trident. Also, they've got white walls around various different paths (and Trident), which is assumedly for concrete pouring. As far as Leviathan goes, workmen were on a large crane, seemingly inspecting the joints. But, most notably, and I don't know how or why, but it seems very much to me like this is some form of clearance testing (just without the train, for whatever reason) Also, I forgot to mention in my original post (and I completely understand that this has near to zero credibility, nor does it necessarily mean anything, but) even staff at Sea World told me not to get any hopes up for an opening this year, despite the current 'set' date and the work that's being done.

How far into planning was this 'first RMC'? I've heard about it being a thing, but I've only seen it being referred to mostly as a joke. Leviathan being the first ground-up woodie in Australia for a long time (and getting years of delay as a partial result), then going directly into more ambitious ground-up hybrid seems like a bit of a risk.

The ad is recent, and being pushed out all over the internet, so I think (or moreso hope) that it's the final opening date for at least Leviathan. The website has said Trident's opening'll be in October since before the ad though, so it could be the case that they're just slow to update the website, or the ad was incorrect before it even began it's campaign.

Was this meant to be posted in a different forum, or do you think that Dreamworld is Movie World?

damn, steel taipan's really changed since opening day

I'm super late to this thread, but (as others have been saying) a solo Tailwhip ride is insane. I rode it on the official opening day, and the operator-assigned rows already put it above the forceless DCR rides I got the day before, but after riding Tailwhip later on, it's the best coaster on the Gold Coast (right now) by a sizable margin IMO. Hopefully once DCR reopens it's backwards seating I can compare both gimmick seats to give DCR a fairer comparison, but as for what is currently on offer with DCR and ST, ST is the better coaster IMO. It's a shame about the low attendance, especially in comparison to Movie World, cause it really isn't doing crash hot at all recently, with most (if not all) of their major rides having regular downtime and general maintenance issues. On the other hand, Dreamworld is really bringing their A-game with all their rides and attractions (plus, they're doing a decent amount of marketing for 'em too). Seems to me that people still have some time left on their Village Roadshow passes, and they want to get the most out of that time before contemplating the switch over to Dreamworld annuals. Either that, or River Rapids is still tarnishing their brand more than they expected.
