  1. Adding onto that, I’m guessing they mean that MW doesn’t need another compact mid-thrill level coaster like that which a Wild Mouse, or the ‘replacement’ Moose, would offer.
  2. If your 10 year old student can draw(/render) detailed, complete architectural mock-ups, either you’re a really good teacher or they shouldn’t be in your class anymore.
  3. and then blame it on the attendees for not purchasing enough tickets
  4. Anyone willing to fork up 5 bucks? More info soon, but only for their TikTok subscribers (From Instagram)
  5. Here’s the whole segment (mentions all their upcoming projects & a timeline of them, plus includes a POV of Forest Flyer): 7 Dreamworld News Segment (August 2023, compressed).MP4
  6. Movie World posted the same promo video for Death Row that they used last year, but has specified in the caption that will not be returning again.
  7. If that’s true, it could go 3 ways IMO: Unlikely - Like JL, Starro’s controlling them. Reasoning for unlikely is cause similarities with JL wouldn’t be good, they’d be limited in speech (plus “Join Starro” 100 times isn’t particularly menacing), and they’d need facial prosthetics. Possible - Like the upcoming Suicide Squad game, similar to JL in concept alone, except it’s Brainiac instead of Starro. This’d be a clear distinction, a shift for older audiences (Suicide Squad tie-in), and would remove the need for prosthetics/speech limitation. Likely - They’re just generic zombies, and the reasoning’s unique/unexplained. Reason why that’s more likely is cause it’d be easier, more proven, blend into the rest of the event more, and wouldn’t require any tie-ins or attract any major similarities.
  8. A lot of them could probably pass as ‘terrorist’, but the most obvious for a horror aspect IMO would be Scarecrow. They could potentially use the character for an Arkham-adjacent story as well, just centering it more around him than the Joker.
  9. There’s only so much you can do with a thrilling flat ride, and if that’s what they still want to utilise the area for, a Screamin’ Swing is one of the better options that come to mind IMO. There is the matter of if it’d actually fit, though, ‘cause not only would the ride platform need to be larger, but it swings much further out than Doomsday does, which’d also need to be accounted for w/ the warehouses/buildings, paths, and (ideally) sightlines.
  10. I understand, I’m just joking ‘cause saying that the planned building is ‘an excellent standard for architectural design’ is a bit of an oversell IMO.
  11. Sure VRTP didn’t write this one themselves?
  12. If we’re talking delusional, there’s only one option in my mind: (Seriously, though, I’m guessing this is them trying to do something like Night Markets w/ a live band & food, and their headliner’ll probably be some has-been country dude)
  13. Think all parks are doing that a similar amount right now, not just Dreamworld. Dreamworld’s just got more active/visible construction currently than what SW or MW do, with the retheme of Dreamworks & their swingchair ride. But they’re all trying to expand & improve their offerings about the same amount, or at least have seemed to be doing so for the last few years.
  14. It’s also meant to emit from the front of the station at the start too, as the train dispatches.
  15. Don’t think it needs a new thread as it’s just another weird monetisation choice from MW, so I’ll post it here instead ‘cause IG it’s the most related thread: Movie World’s launched a “world’s first” TikTok Live subscription, and have promised behind-the-scenes tours of both the park & WoO’s construction site as giveaway prizes. They also mention a soon-to-come announcement for the September school holidays (which, if I had to guess, is the hut replacement/rumoured arcade). Video includes an angle of what I believe is Arkham’s old station. https://www.facebook.com/100064603124561/posts/684103177086447/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v
  16. If I had to guess, it’d reliably get about 300-350ft up on a normal cycle (with the speed they’ve quoted & the animations) 2 Top 2 Thrill
  17. They couldn’t go with ‘Iron’ or ‘Steel’, so they just chose the next best thing, ‘________ 2’
  18. But ST’s switch track is integral to its design. Why would they purposefully add another, non-essential risk/downtime factor to a ride that’s continuously had abysmal operations already?
  19. I just really hope that ‘Top Thrill 2’ is just a placeholder name that they’ve called it to refer back to the original in their own article, and not the actual new name of the ride. Everything else is pretty much exactly as expected, new Lightning trains, triple LSM launch (that doesn’t seem to incorporate a speed hill, you’d think they’d mention that if it did), then normal top hat & brakes.
  20. Not an inherently bad idea, doubt they’d do it though (especially as a retrofit). Scooby had similar, but they removed them. Only instance of a similar thing in AUS that still remains (off the top of my head) is the doors at WWF’s drop.
  21. In the meantime, googling the title of the article gives this featured snippet from Google: So, if that’s indeed what the article says and Google isn’t just pulling that quote from somewhere random (it says it’s a quote from the article), next up is a second, larger lazy river.
