  1. Nah no key Joz. Back on Demon, it looks like the Shiftymeister was right. Not that we ever said you were wrong Shift Bitch. Just didn't think it was the most tactical of moves. Looks like she's heading up the Pacific Highway. Keep your eyes and ears open for more. Idiots. Absolute raving idiots. They deserve to be shot.
  2. Super mate, I wanna make sure it really comes down Poop of a thing. Then I'll be much more happy.
  3. Good riddance to bad rubbish, that's all I can say.
  4. The point I think we're getting at Rich, is no one in their right mind would buy it in the state it is currently in. It needs a hell of a lot of work. Like all of Wonderland's rides I guess. It will be more trouble than its worth. At the moment, I think you will find, Demon is using an older, 'second' dog chain to preserve whatever life the other has. It's just a shame, you're not going to be able to see the full extent of its 'stuffedness' in one day when you go on Sunday. Maybe you'll get a lift 2, or if you're lucky the operator won't be paying attention and you'll get yourselves a 'boomerang'. Wouldn't that be rather ironic? I really don't think Dreamworld would buy it. They'd be nuts. Surely they aren't that stupid. I think it will end up somewhere in Asia. Only time will tell. As for the ride rotations, as Wonderbus said it has been on an hourly basis when it's been done (quite commonly I might add). I'm not sure on how much it's been happening over the last 6 months, Wonderbus might be able to fill you in on that, but before that it was common practice. It has been normal for Wonderland in the past to rotate Baby Bumpers and Merry Go Round, Dragons Flight and Clippers (sorry Galleons Graveyard) and Endeavour and Tasmanian Devil when she was standing. This was basically the norm unless a big crowd was expected i.e. school kids or of course weekends and holidays. Mainly over the winter it happens. From about this time of the year on. Would anyone here consider this a hazard, having no one within 50 metres of a ride?
  5. Shift Dawg, A new coat of paint is the least of Demon's worries old son. How about the Dog chain, the catch wagon and both the mechanical and electrical components of the ride. It has not been looked after. Problems with it you cannot see. Not cosmetics you nuffy. Sure coasters break down, they are machines, but numerous times every single week? The number of times it gets stuck on lift 2 is ludicrous. Anyone know when our last trouble light at Demon was? I'm tipping there has been at least one in the last week.
  6. You really have no idea what you're talking about do you Shifty McShifter? You've observed this from your how many days have you been there? I heard about you. Working for the IRA. Told to blow up that London bus and burnt your lips on the exhaust. Give up while you're behind pal.
  7. Good to see it you too know it would be disastrous if Dreamworld bought the Demon GoBoi. I'm glad someone else knows the ride and how it's been looked after. I have always enjoyed a ride or two on it though I must say. Would be a good buy if it had been looked after and hadn't already shat itself.
  8. If it's true about Demon off to Dreamworld, all I can say is I think they've bitten off more than they can chew. They obviously don't know what they've got themselves in for... Poor bastards. It's good to be back GoBoi. Lets just say that people were suffering because of me expressing my thoughts on certain issues on this forum. But now, what does it matter hey? The Spelling Nazi is back
  9. I missed your posts so much whilst I was absent Shifty.... Yet another 'Shifty Special'. I thought of it to be very cheap too. I'd have wanted a lot more. Real estate isn't really my strong point I must say though, so really I do not know. It just doesn't seem like enough. Then again, the ADI site went for $165 million for 1500 hectares.... That's something like $800,000 more per hectare for Wally World... One thinks Lend Lease got a bargain at St Marys...
  10. I sent it to the Penrith Press too, not that I'm anywhere near Penrith but none of my papers online were working for whatever reason. I'll get hold of the Penrith Press this week and get back to you guys. I'm thinking it was too long for the Daily Telegraph. Standby a couple of days.
  11. I am not going to acknowledge that uninformed comment with an answer. You obviously have no idea. Lets get back to the topic.
  12. What sort of bird have you got ScReAM? A friggin ostrich?
  13. Imperial, I think you'll find that most of the rides will go to Asia, or join Fred Flintstone's Splashdown in attraction heaven. We'll just have to wait and see.
  14. They've covered for him before, they'll do it again to get him the job. Unfortunate thing for Luna Park is, they will hire him. He'll get the job and they'll learn the hard way. Will be like Butterbean at Wonderland revisited, this time at Luna Park.
  15. I've used my imagination to its absolute capacity Scared of Jack, and I think I know who the supervisor is you're talking about.... Not from the Attractions Department by chance? This person might go screw some staff members over there too. The Smiling Assassin. Only thing is they might have to do some work if they go there, only until bosses have been fooled into thinking this person knows what they're doing.
  16. It's absolutely devastating news and it's going to be sadly missed. It's such a shame. Sunway purchased Wonderland with no purpose other than to re-zone it after it's been run into the ground. If they were interested in saving it, they'd have given weekend trading another shot or closed over winter. Something like that. That would have been perfectly acceptable in my book. A number of things could have been done to save the park including putting some money into it. It's really sad that the last ride that went in there was 1995. A large number of people are now out of a job but why would Mr Galbraith care? He's still got his cushy job with Sunway, therefore so will Zoe. They've never given a crap about anyone other than themselves anyway. Why help out staff now you boofheads? You haven't for a lot of years, why start now? You're full of crap and you're a bunch of liars. Three months it's been sold for now hey? Did Stevie mean to lie to staff on Monday night I wonder? How can ING be at any fault? Geez, it's prime real estate. As if you would pass up an opportunity like that. As for the rides, in my opinion, the only ride at Wonderland worth buying is Bounty's. The rest of them are stuffed and too old anyway. Probe's just 9 or so years but snuffed itself, it's more trouble than it's worth, and Demon, well it's just a heap of crap. Bush Beast will make a great bonfire. Dragon's has a great big crack in it and needs serious repair, the list just goes on. I just hope no one is stupid enough to buy some of their crap and be ripped off because Wonderland hasn't looked after them. Don't forget the $52.5 million was just for the theme park. The other 160 hectares has already been flogged off or soon to be. We're talking serious money. That's only touching on my thoughts on this subject. I'm both angry and sad on this issue and could go on for hours about reasons and my thoughts on how the place has been run, but I won't because most of you already know me and my thoughts. Guys, the staff need your help. Get the media involved as much as you can. Voice your digust to the Daily Telegraph about its closure and your sadness blah blah but subtly keep the pressure on Wonderland to give their workers what they deserve. They'll do their bloody best to keep entitlements to a legal minimum. E-mail your letters to letters@dailytelegraph.com.au . By the way, sorry for being AWOL for a number of weeks, but I'm back! I've got no one to protect anymore, they don't have their jobs anyway hey GC and DB.
  17. Yeah Jaggs, I saw it. What a load of codswallop mate. Congratulations for pulling the park together over the last 8 years.... haha very laughable old son. You've got to be cracking jokes. Gave me a laugh anyway. I will see if my response to it is published tomorrow otherwise I'll post it here for you.
  18. The ride would have sensors to prevent this, which obviously in this case were not working. Trust me, the ride could sustain all 10 cars providing they were used with the required number of operators and other conditions were met.
  19. But I'm saying how can they have too many cars on the track? If it comes with 10 cars, they'll be able to use them all safely. Read other posts carefully before you post, not just yours.
  20. Good work old son. We've all valued your contribution even if you did dribble crap at times  Thanks. Keep it up mate. Keep the posts coming and I love your 'sign-offs'.
  21. Hey Former, how's it going mate? Long time no see. Good to hear from you. What are you getting upto with yourself these days? As for Wonderland closing, the same rumour circulates this time every year. I don't think so. It's exactly what needs to happen though. The place needs to be gutted. Wonderland has categorically denied any rumours of their closure. I'm sure when it does come time to close (when the land becomes a little more valuable that is, prices are still going up), staff will show up for their shift, only to be turned away by security. Gates will have big chains around them and that will be all she wrote. As for closing after the holidays, nope. I personally believe they'd be well within their rights to close the theme park off season and just keep the Wildlife Park going all year. Something like that makes sense to me anyway. What does everyone else think? Just to get tongues wagging that little bit
  22. Mate, all the cars were obviously able to be used if they were there... The ride isn't going to come with say 10 cars but they can only use 8 at a time. That doesn't seem logical does it?
  23. Gazza, Machines do break down old son. That was a stupid statement. Maintenance just minimises breakdowns. **Cough Cough Wonderland Cough**
