WLS Update 6/1/03.......THE RED TRAIN RETURNS!
Daniel replied to Jaggie's topic in Theme Park Discussion
That didn't answer my question Flea ya boofhead. Answer the question and I'll be content  Is it advertising something or what? What is their purpose? Is it patching up something, something that should be fixed? Covering a snake hole or something like that? Where is the bloody thing? -
WLS Update 6/1/03.......THE RED TRAIN RETURNS!

Where abouts in Transylvania Bus? And what is it? Is it big? What does it have on it? Info me up big man... or big girl.... -
Haha good on ya mate. Keep plugging away. Good English I don't think Chippo! They won't get another coaster. That's the reason everyone got sodded off with Luna Park in the first place... The residents didn't approve of it roaring past their window every few minutes. Tough toe nails I say. The point that some seem to be missing is people will go check it out again. Whether they go back a second time remains to be seen. I'm not saying Wonderland will suffer in the long term because of Luna Park, but while it's still a novelty it will.

WLS Update 6/1/03.......THE RED TRAIN RETURNS!

Which green poles are you talking about? :? Snowy and Bush Beast will be closed after 8:00 due to the visibility issue (or lack of it). Put people back up in the towers of a night I say. You don't know how hard it is to see on the monitors at night in some of the spots, especially the dock at the bottom of the lift (where people think they're wonderful and jump off). Hopefully a nice big brown snake will bite their ass one day and teach them a lesson. (Or fall into the trough and be sucked into the pumps). Either way I'll be happy. The red train was reported to be back by Wonderbus earlier this week in another thread. Find it yourselves. In the Bush Beast thread of Wonderland I think. -
Try English as your first choice of language next time Chip. Ta mate
-
haha, isn't it wonderful?
-
Ta mate that's what I was after and I presumed that was the case (it being linked to local and internal emergency services).

Yes but Luna Park will be a novelty for the first couple of months. People are going to want to check it out again. Howcome you can't comprehend this? I'm only talking about the first couple of months here, incorporating the Easter holidays. I for one, would want to go see the revamped Luna Park before I payed 50 bucks to get into Wonderland. Everyone's seen Wally World a trillion times, and Luna Park will be a change. People will want to check it out, I'll guarantee it to you. I'm not sure how anybody in their right mind could deny this. Not only would you just go to Luna Park but you'd make it a whole day out, spend time walking around the Quay, Darling Harbour, head over to Manly or whatever... A great family day out.
-
Call me bloody stupid, but do these rides have smoke alarms? The indoor parts that is. I've never ever really taken much notice before, but can remember smoke alarm type lights on the ceilings in some places... If they're not smoke alarms, what are they?
-
Get off your high horse Wonderbus you knucklehead. Ofcourse people are going to go and check out Luna Park. It will be a novelty again. You know aswell as I do that Easter at Wonderland is their slowest holiday period due to the Easter show already. People will want to see the revamped Looney Park. Don't deny it. I'll be interested. Won't pay for either but that ain't the point.... People will want to go and check out Luna and won't do Wonderland aswell. One or the other, and while Luna Park is a novelty that will take the cake. Luna Park hasn't been open for years, Wonderland hasn't changed (for the better anyway  ).

Any ideas on what Wonderland is going to do to compete with Luna Park when it's back in full swing? For atleast the first 3 months, it's going to be a novelty again and I think Wonderland numbers will struggle even more so than normal during this period. Any suggestions on ways to compete? What will they have to do to pinch Luna Park's guests? March/April should be an interesting time at Wally World one would predict. Don't forget the Easter show is on around this time too, so for most families it's going to be only one of the 3 those Easter Holidays. What will Wally World have to do to convince the public to go there during this time rather than Loony Park?

I'm glad you finally agree Rich

Awww, I wish I was there to operate 2 again Good fun... and an unloader too...
-
You obviously didn't read what I said to you Shifty.
-
Ta mate, answered the painting question for us and confirmed that it won't be repainted this time around. It doesn't need it. Nothing a bit of turps can't fix anyway (graffiti). Demon on the other hand... How's she looking these days Bus?
-
Taking bags on is just as bloody stupid. Wally World won't allow you to take them on either. Qld parks are kidding themselves if you can take them on. Common sense tells you to leave them elsewhere anyway. They're not responsible if something gets knocked off. 'Please make sure you secure all loose articles before riding as Wonderland Sydney does not take any responsibilty for items lost, stolen or damaged', which they don't and won't. The 'againsts' or anyone that knows what they're talking about for that matter, do have it. A lot of us have seen it first hand, have you? Like Bus said, loose articles of any kind are dangerous. How's a neck strap going to keep everyone safe on a ride that goes upside down? I'll say it again, what if your bloody strap breaks? What if you lose consciousness for any reason? Out of your grasp she'll come. You sounded like you had some brains for a while there Dick. Proven us all wrong. Your 'tiny number' is still too many. One injury in a theme park is too many you dolt!

I know mate, just stirring. TTFN

It hasn't and won't be taken down so who cares? If the Zodicrap was painted, even though they're much bigger jobs I guess, I'd have Demon and Probe in front of the Zodicrap in the queue for a paint job. Zodicrap was only painted maybe 3 years ago?? Someone verify... They both need a paint job badly. Demon is almost back to the Titan days (ok maybe slight exaggeration ) and Probe looks more pale everytime I drive past. Are you sure it was really painted? It's a big job and I don't know of any down time. If it was going to be painted, they'd be doing it now one would think...

Shifty, you're right mate. How else are you going to get your answers unless you post? I've said it before, that's the idea of something like this, however I suggest you post as more of a question if you're unsure next time. Either way, you'll still get an answer anyway and a rumour doesn't bother me. It will just be quashed if someone knows better and expect a bit of a ribbing like you got if you make a statement and don't post as a question. In regards to the sh*t, make a choice. 1. I suggest you get the sh*t off your liver and join in the fun and games we have on this site, and put sh*t on us like we do to each other. That way, you will see that most have a sense of humour, and like taking the pi*s out of people - especially scatterbrains (sorry if I am insulting you - well, not really). 2. Pi*s off and thanks for coming. I hope you take the choice 1. Read back at the sh*t that has been posted. See where your ticker is old son, and YOU make the choice - I'll bet you can't resist answering us. I'm sure Rich as webmaster values your input, so keep it up mate and you'll get your answers.

Pookie.... is that you Jaggie??? :? hehe. Has to be. Who was bagging Jaggie anyway?
-
Try happily, its, carriages, check and spelling has (if you must, spelling's) muhahaha Why would they spend money relocating Zodiac may I ask? It would probably cost them more than the ride is worth these days. There's no need. It's fine where it is. I like her spot. Good place for the op to have a kip and put your feet up
-
Careful giving free plugs Flea Boy
-
I'm quietly confident that Zodiac is down for annual maintenance . It still stands, however someone's knocked off the gondolas  That's the last I heard anyway. It went down about last Monday (24th Nov). I drove past on the M4 yesterday and she was still there I can tell ya.
-
What more can be said mate? It's finally been realised by a certain few that the againsts have it. It's dangerous to take cameras on rides and that's that. Good to see they've had a think about it over the last few days and the problems it could cause 8) .
-
Easy mate I'm just winding you up. You have no reason to lie about a camera and I understand you are pretty big on photography hence the big bickys camera. I wish I had a $6000 camera too mate. I'm just taking the p*ss. I don't doubt you for a second. Any opportunity given to take the p*ss, I snap up. I like it when people "bite", come on, keep biting. At least tell me to get stuffed or something. Take the gravel out of your mouth old son, and join in  I'm sorry about the language if you're offended. Can't help myself sometimes. I'll work on that.
