  1. As far as I can gather, Tony and Juleen have decided it's time to move on. They've been there a long time now. 364 days a year, sometimes 2 shows a day on the big ones. It's hard slog. A couple of personal issues have previously arisen and she is now heavy with child as stated. I'd say the show is finishing by mutual agreement. How can you replace a show like that? Nothing Wonderland can produce will compare. I'm not going to speculate on what will replace it. Probably some low budget flop like Action Man was if anything... Maybe they won't replace it soon. Who knows?
  2. I should add that the show has happened every single day since they began at Wally World. That's pretty huge. Time for a breather one thinks.
  3. Absolutely mate. Tony is a genius. A gifted magician and an allround top bloke. Himself and Juleen together were a class act and will be severely missed at Wally World. I saw the show as a guess, a hundred times during my time at Wally World and I never got sick of it. My favourite trick would definitely have to be Origami. I used to love being at Zodiac around 2:30 just to hear the music for that trick To this day, his show still amazes me. Shame I won't be able to see the last show. Two very nice people who deserve all the happiness in the world. Good luck to them.
  4. Joz, you know what I was getting at with the phones ya knucklehead  The point is, at Wonderland you can't! Simple as that. You might deserve what you get if you drop your camera, but does the poor bastard sitting 3 rows back?
  5. In the litigious society that we live in, how many people would turn around and expect the theme park to be responsible for any damage to their camera caused by the wanker taking it on in the first place? Bloody lots. To stop any troubles, Wonderland has a no camera policy to prevent any of this kind of crap. It is a common sense rule that I can't believe is not enforced by every single theme park. Anyone with half a brain would leave their camera behind. e.g. Your so called $6000 camera's strap breaks, smashes someone on the boof and knocks them out cold. How would you react to this? The ramifications for all involved would be on the large side of the scale. Have you never dropped anything? Once again, Richard you seem to think all this is directed at you. The topic being spoken about more is people 'sneaking' a camera onto a ride and disobeying park policy which you agree you will adhere to upon entry of the theme park. Even if it's not park policy common sense tells you, you don't take loose items on a ride where you will reach some pretty slick speeds. It is being stated in general that it is dangerass to take any items, especially a camera on a ride with you when you will be 'subject to sudden changes of movement and direction', especially when the park has a no camera policy, clearly posted at every attraction. No one has suggested once you'd try it at Wonderland. It doesn't mean people don't, obviously, and that's what these comments are getting at. Just because you believe you could hang onto your camera, it doesn't mean the next boofhead can. You can't say for sure that you can hang on to it. How many things do you drop everyday? How's ur mobile phone in the scratches department. Good on you Super Glue Man. If you choose to take a camera on a ride good luck to you.
  6. Richie Rich, you're not being singled out here. The people with the brains here have said common sense tells you, don't take loose items of any kind on an attraction. I'm glad you could hang onto your camera, what about the manky bastard that tries after seeing you do it? You of anyone should know how unpredictable rides are- "Riders will be subject sudden changes of movement and direction"- I've heard that somewhere before... Lets just say Bush Beast jumped the tracks- you'd break your camera... What if you didn't have a strap? Would you still try?
  7. Nah mate, Union Picnic day. 15,000 bloody maniacs for operators to contend with. Queues of 90 mins just don't interest me somehow. I wonder how its going??? Wallgrove Rd and its surrounds was apparently a sh*tfight according to the radio. Lucky I'm home already and don't have to get involved in that
  8. Spirit and it was a horse ya knucklehead  The dog show was yonks back.
  9. Copy that Rich. Ta. And yeah as I've said, Flea's done good run strong with his videos other than what the talk has drifted to now
  10. Richie, it has been implied that the camera was 'snuck on' because Wonderland has a no camera policy and any operator in their right mind wouldn't allow someone to take a camera on a ride such as Demon or Probe. Therefore it has been presumed by the general community here it has been snuck on, unless operators are breaking rules, but none that I know (employment longer than 6 months) would allow a camera on Demon or Probe. Fact. If I was a guest on the same ride I'd have a blow up.
  11. That was meant to happen early this year. Was supposed to be for an exotic animal exhibit? Are we in the same ballpark here? Anyhows, who knows what happened to that? As far as I can gather the cubs will be where Spirit was, out the front of where Taz USED to be. They won't be on display there, it will be a quick animal talk kinda thing. I haven't heard anything about any other rides moving other than dodgems which seems to have died in the ass over the last 6-8 months.
  12. Agreed 100%. On Demon, there's a special camera mount that is secured to the train. Like Bussy said, cameras are taped around hands, several hundred thousand times I might add. They aren't going anywhere. It wouldn't take much to lose your grip on your camera. Everyone knows that. It's common sense basically. I'm with the against party on this one. It's friggin dangerass!!
  13. The operator would no doubt be given some curry by superiors also if a guest was found to have taken a camera on a ride. However, there's only so much the op can do to stop them getting them on. It's not something you really look for as an operator. You're more worried about checking heights, looking for busted arms and checking for shoes etc. If a camera is spotted a guest will be told to leave it. Not always possible though. You see them on Bush Beast all the time, as they leave the station they pull it out from their pockets or something, too late by then. I agree a camera can be turned into a missile in an instant and can be very dangerous hence Wally World having a no camera policy on ALL rides. I can't believe some parks allow it. If however you are sneaky enough to get it past the operator good luck to you. Someone will get in trouble though. Nasty complications if it does become a missile.
  14. You're right Diannasaurus, but we've come to the conclusion already that it is not going to happen. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at Wally World tomorrow, 15 000 angry people- no Zodiac and no Taz. Lots of annoyed bastards one might suggest in this early stage.
  15. Shutup you silly person you 8) I'll buy you an alcoholic beverage of some description in return
  16. It should be a good summer at Wonderland. Good to see they've got a couple of things planned this time around. Numbers these holidays should be good. Looking forward to going and checking out the cubs. Ticket me Bus...
  17. Ah yeah, in there hey? It is a good move. Good central spot too. I might even scam a ticket and come along and see em. Love em. How about it Bussy?
  18. I wouldn't call it a theme park really. It was basically a picnic area with a few horse shows and stuff. That's how I remember it and it's probably been 15 years since I was there. It went broke maybe between 5-10 years ago and burned down not long after. Few years ago possibly.
  19. Yeah Rich I think the only tough part would be outside Banjo's BBQ. It's the tightest part of the train's circuit and gets the most congested. Just got to put your head down and just keep going sometimes... They'll move if they want to.
  20. Opposite Banjo's would be Gold Nugget the last time I was there unless it has moved :? It's definitely the way to go get people into the park. By the way, I'm tipping Taz won't be back. The figure I've heard to fix it is astronomical, and would be much better going towards a deposit on something new... The ride probably isn't worth this figure any longer. Just some more abuse for the operators to put up with, whilst Taz missing. Parents always get fired up about that ride for some reason.
  21. Wizards was old, parts expensive and hard to come by and last of all it was LOUD!- Significant factor the last. It was a great ride but had to go. The reason I am posting in this topic is I'm wondering if anyone is giving good odds re: Taz making a return or not. Any takers? What are your thoughts?
  22. Good to see them trying some new sh*t. The attendances should pick up for these. It should bring some more people through the gates. Keep your eye on the Gold Nugget Theatre re: the cubs. Motocross in Action Arena. The only straight sort of part is lakeside adjacent to the shipwreck. Or even the walkways down to Goldrush via Dragons Flight/Action Arena or past Endeavour and Taz (will it return???... I think not...) when it was there. They'd be the only places. The route of the train would be it basically if something like this is going to happen. Some tight turns especially outside Banjos and the BBQ in the holidays could be a problem though. I know it is for the train. 50 people waiting for some grub there can be tough to get through. Right on the corner.
  23. Don't take this as gospel but the wet weather promise is more than 2mm of rain before 12:00 I think.... Maybe a CURRENT employee can verify for me . Sorry couldn't help myself. As far as I know that's the extent of the crap weather return pass. It does work well. It's only fair too. The rain guage used is a little ripper too
  24. The word criminal shpuldn't have been taken the way it reads. Not literally criminal. I thought you'd be smart enough to pick that one up. In the interests of community spirit, I'll concede defeat on this subject. If numbers were as poor as being stated, sure, shut. What the hell give them return passes anyway...
  25. I think I said before, if WLP numbers are being included, they'll definitely hit the grade 4 or whatever the heck it is. In the themepark itself, I sh*t you not when I say they struggle for 100 most non holiday and weekend days though. I'm not lying, I promise. I don't have a vendetta against them either. Whatever problems I may have had in the past are gone. He went not long after me. Shame that.
