  1. Maybe they are being careful. Saying scooby would open up again 2025 gives them more time and reduces the chances they will have to delay it like what happened to leviathan. People like it more when they get something quicker or better then they were originally told/thought. But I could 100% be totally wrong. The open blog idea is great though. Would be nice if they could somehow create extra hype and keep it like posting clues but I guess the average person couldn’t care less about that stuff. btw I remember someone said the way scooby was built it’s more like a traveling coaster then a permanent one with how the structure is. Is that true or just some rumour *Maybe they are completely replacing scooby with a new scooby*. (I am not suggesting that’s what’s happening btw)
  2. A bit more effort would have been nice. But I will wait and see to judge. Overall a positive change that I hope will be done well
  3. Thanks for the answer I was just wondering why, and that makes sense! But no I was not going to ask about if your company insures parks I was just going to say thanks for a answer that makes sense to me. Sorry if I sometimes come across like some idiot I realise somethings I post don’t add to the conversation, even if at the time, I thought it might have. in no way do I want to be that annoying person who constantly undermines. I was not recommending that rides should let GoPros on I just wanted to know why they don’t and that makes sense. Sorry again if one or more of my comments have caused frustration to anyone. it was not my goal.. (comparing Australia parks to anything that’s not in Australia should be banned though) Imagine the Aussie news teams if that happened here… seems like a good reason to not bring things on .
  4. Just a simple paper Wrist band you buy at the shop under the tavern would work no need to overly complicate it when there’s a “simple” way (ok you know what I mean, yes I said simple. but it kinda is, they already use bands anyway) and that would be a good fall back for people who don’t have the app or only have cash on them, and don’t have Apple Pay or don’t know how to set it up (me… I am too analog for this world. I got my year passes all printed out at the park entrance so I have a hard copy to put in my wallet.) just makes sense to have other options to buy the backwards thing imo. But having to pay at the ride queue seems maybe over complicated? For the benefits This made my day
  5. True. It’s so funny when people try to get the stats for dc rivals they look up joker coaster speed and it’s the 4D free spin … Wiz Kids sounds like a crap science class
  6. When’s it’s next appearance. Would love to get on that thing. Same with the traveling coasters is their any schedule on where the coasters will pop up?
  7. This topic probably has the most detailed explanation of extra safety precautions on roller coasters ever written. It’s incredible. If anyone can still go “I don’t get it” they are just stubborn and a lost cause
  8. One thing I don’t understand is why most rides won’t let these people film on ride. They have fully Secure GoPro’s on their chests so it seems weird to not allow it for the YouTubers . It’s great for business. Especially rides like what Luna park Melbourne has. Why can’t they even film on the ghost train! I just don’t understand it
  9. Yeah it’s a tricky one. I call Big Dipper ll and goldcoaster / c / hwsw, two different credits due to them both being in such different settings but idk about SR I guess I will wait and see in the theme/color As with all change it might take time to get used to SR being in SE but I think it’s a positive at the end of the day. (And hopefully will push DW even more to try and stay Australia’s biggest theme park not just in land holding but rides
  10. Just “wondering world of Oz” is a better name or just “oz world” or “Ozzie world” ? Oh wait…
  11. I was fairly lucky on my 3rd attempt at getting in leviathan (3rd day I tried) I got on it! And I got a lot of rides on it front row, middle row and back row. It’s incredible at the back and the drop is fun at the front because you hang over the drop and it’s much more smooth but the backs still the best. The backwards seat thing was not working the day I went something wrong with the app so no one could buy a backwards ticket that day
  12. For the people who consider SR a coaster credit will it be a new credit when it’s at movieworld? It is a relocated ride that is literally still in the same post code but I see no reason why it would not be a new “credit”
  13. It’s a “we did everything in our control” type thing I think
  14. On their America trip the parks were nice enough to give them entry and some gave them a fast track. I was not saying this a bad thing I was replying to this post but forgot to quote
  15. Is this really all that’s left!? Must be a mistake on wiki surly there’s more then 4 still in operation Malaysia really seems like a not bad destination for theme parks
  16. Would be sick if they could get surf rider in before march.
  17. DW have had fairly good experience with flat rides. The biggest shame imo is that Luna park Sydney ditched their looping star ship for a pendulum that is all around Australia
  18. I know! Australia could have been the wooden wild mouse capital of the world
  19. Exactly! It’s that familiar face that makes you feel more at ease. Big Dipper is epic as a new coaster but wild mouse is the ride your grand parents probably went on and then you got to ride it and then your kids get to ride it. It’s that’s iconic muilt-generation experience that is just as fun as it was back it the 60s/50s.
  20. The starflyer fun time model must have been a lot more money, they would have done the math but not enough math obviously.. what’s that saying? Poor man pays twice?
  21. What’s that got to do with the price of eggs in the Philippines
  22. Well maybe TPWW have a point. Visiting parks in peak season is not always a bad thing Ahaha it always makes me laugh when people not from Australia think all kangaroos do is beat up people and that koala “bears” are acutely Bears
  23. It’s not the long run and it’s already hurting.. Because they have no competition people will pay it they open short or long. It’s easier to operate shorter times and there’s no competition they need to compete with or try to have longer operating hours then. See below quote ⬇️ This is the same reason the parks don’t operate longer hours.. if there was more entertainment options around they would need to open longer
