  1. I don’t know about the traveling coasters in Australia they are a lot more under the radar and hard to even find out how many operate around
  2. I really think dreamworld is well worth it it’s a full experience yes you got rides but there’s also animals and tigers and the train so I think it’s definitely worth getting a ticket ST is worth it and the claw is great too and sky voyager. when are you coming up? One tip is just run to the back of the parks and slowly make your way to the front. Lunch time is the time when wait times are the longest.
  3. The wheel is so stupidly small it’s great if it was a tad bigger it would be hated and stupid. buts it’s so freakishly small it’s a joke and is fun. So it could have a future imo
  4. From the view of an onlooker it seems like it wouldn’t be that hard keeping effects working and speakers it seems weird they always break down but again I am not an electrician but it seems like if most these machines and effects are newish they shouldn’t have so many problems.
  5. True any comments ones that agree or ones that go “hey wait your wrong that’s not how it works” is still a comment and gets them something
  6. I am not saying “expand into the studio” but just wondered if they “could” I don’t want them to and they really shouldn’t I just wanted to know how it works. This is what I was looking for thanks
  7. I can’t believe his favourite ride at the park is gold coaster the oldest coaster in the Gold Coast. I mean I absolutely love it but I am surprised I am not the only one. After watching it though I realised how much dreamworld need another modern thrill coaster. Most the coasters are fairly old but we got jungle rush coming but one more thrill coaster is sorely needed. Glad they had a good time!
  8. Is village roadshow films the same company as village roadshow theme parks? Or our they under the same roof but not really the same company. Like if they wanted to expand the park into where the studio is would it be the theme parks choice or would they have to consult the films side of the company
  9. A have run into a few that seem very over it but a lot of the OP’s I have seen in the last 6 months have been super fun and friendly especially at wet’n’wild. MW staff have been nice enough but it’s hard ti get much out of them. The seaworld staff around Leviathan when it was having a lot of trouble were also very apologetic and nice about it.
  10. Too bad they didn’t go on many slides she should have just done it anyway and not let fear stop her. Glad they thought the park was nice. I found it funny how interested he was with a half pipe coaster haha. The thing I find with lots of enthusiasts is they don’t really care much for water parks and slides which I think is kinda silly because slides can be really fun too. I hope they have a great time at dreamworld!!
  11. most ride ops on the Gold Coast are pretty great but there is a few duds but most of them lately have been really friendly when you chat to them.
  12. Are there any original props left on scooby doo or were they all ripped out when it became “next gen”? Damn this new generation sucks why theme a ride to it
  13. Idk I really love how WWW looks even if it’s not necessarily themed. I love how good coaster goes through it. Really adds some atmosphere and kinetic energy and makes everything feel like it’s intertwined unlike wet’n’wild which feels like a bunch of placed rides at least in the back of the park and WWW has some nice trees too and a better themed wave pool. Wet’n’wild green slides and constricter do look like though. But WWW is my personal favourite looking water park because the gold coaster interacts with the slides.
  14. Yeah seaworld is better suited to that ride. But a viewing area or smaller ride would be kinda cool it that area. But I do love the look of superman top hat on it’s own. would surf rider fit in one of the red box’s??
  15. Hopefully someone with more insight then me can comment but how I think it works is WB do some filming at the studio next to MW sometimes so WB get the studio and Village get to pick and choose what properties to use and when. But they probably have to go through WB first and get them to approve of it. A lot of Warner bros parks are set up similarly though so there is a chance village was the first and the other WB parks followed them or WB designed the park originally and copy pasted the main park layout. Not sure but right now Village get to pick what properties the use and when with WB’s approval. I mean I can’t see WB ringing up and going ‘hey village can you park a area themed to 30+ yr old movie that we don’t profit off much anymore?”
  16. I really like how the bobsled goes over the octoracer. Definitely the highest bucket list waterpark in Australia for me at the moment. I am so excited for my Melbourne park trip in a few months
  17. Ido wish they got to film their first time reactions on ride like coaster studios sometimes do.
  18. Oh so it’s probably mostly still VHS
  19. Same! I wonder where they source their footage
  20. I like the Wild West falls idea it makes sense to have another western themed ride. I don’t really like the DC themes but it’s called movieworld so that’s it’s thing. Dreamworld can have the original themes because that’s it’s thing. That’s why I love that Dreamworks is finally gone and we soon will have a movie park and a classic theme park. Most if not everything at movieworld should take advantage of their movie IPS and not try to do some original themes. While DW can have the circus’s and that stuff. Buts that’s a perfect world.
  21. I quite like being able to drive and walk underneath it even ifs it’s not operating. It’s just a little quirk. And as long as it’s there it brings back peoples good memories of it. and gives them hope it might be back one day even though it’s probably never gonna come back. It’s like an artefact or when places remove a part of history but leave a bit as a reminder.
  22. These are a great way for the parks to fight back from what the news and stuff is saying instead of just staying quiet. Even if only a tiny % actually look at the parks socials before visiting
  23. Come on movieworld and village roadshow in general your just asking to be roasted and have a parody.. I would say in the GP of adults corkscrew and tower of terror would be the most iconic at least around here. Near Melbourne I am sure it’s different . Most iconic open would probably be SE or DCR so I guess for now MW have the title…
