  1. Come on movieworld and village roadshow in general your just asking to be roasted and have a parody.. I would say in the GP of adults corkscrew and tower of terror would be the most iconic at least around here. Near Melbourne I am sure it’s different . Most iconic open would probably be SE or DCR so I guess for now MW have the title…
  2. Yeah it’s probably just corporate crap but maybe it means there’s some proximity rule as well and DW just had a quick look through to books to try to find a excuse instead of just saying (buzzsaw is closing due to the fact no one really wanted it in the first place and it’s never open and costs to much to keep operating so bye)
  3. Yes wooden coasters do need a lot of work and the Australian environment is very harsh on it but saying every wooden coaster in the world opens late is not really true either.
  4. Supposedly buzzsaw was removed for being to close to ST this would have to be even closer to SE . Maybe there is a rule . Seaworld is the only village park I can see it going to but I would much rather a modern version of Vikings revenge then this
  5. The animation looks like it was going way to fast over some of them hills and some of the bends are unbanked and they went back to arrow times of going just stright track down some of the hills…
  6. Incredible coaster was better before the incredibles theme but even that’s not a hyper ?
  7. Do you have any photos proving this? I can’t remember seeing a pram area. This might be true but it can still function going back wards or forwards. It’s all computer operated these days.
  8. They just are gonna park helicopters over seaworld and the other parks now, just looking over their shoulder waiting for them to slip up…
  9. What are you taking about dc rivals has themeing around the ride. It literally has a pretty fence with movieworld on the tips of it. The car park is theming too because dc rivals is themed to villains destroying car parks (I mean it makes sense most car parks suck) . Boom .. themeing…
  10. True it would put a lot of stress on the wheels and track. That’s partly why FR is not that tall and more drawn out. I definitely don’t think it’s for TTD. I am having a hard time trying to think what other coaster could handle going that fast. Other then formula Rosa but What is the point of FR beating their own record? Does the thing day what launch technology they use? Could they be ramping up a air launch coaster like dododompa? Unless it’s not a revamp at all but an entirely new roller coaster. They just say (involving a roller coaster and a speed record) that doesn’t mean it has to be an existing coaster..
  11. Yes Thailand really just got dumped with a lot of our old stuff ahah. I guess being in pitch black would have made it more thrilling but wow it literally only goes right.. Yes I guess the full name is “suspended swinging coaster” and “Fixed inverting coaster” but many enthusiast websites and polls just call them suspended and invert. So That’s how I think of them.
  12. I can’t wait till they realise a video on it. I mean it’s a better name then just Joker but then again 90% of people call it joker anyway sooo…
  13. Maybe it’s involving formula rossa ? Or it could mean dragster is getting it’s speed turned up..
  14. Wooden coasters probably are operated quite differently to steel coasters and there is only really 3 wooden coasters in Australia and 2 of them are very vintage so there is no wooden coaster operators they could hire in Australia so the whole team needs training. That might be why it opened later.
  15. This is true. The only park rn I can think of with the space and who would want a crowd pleasing reliable B&M is dreamworld but they gotta start making good profit first and I think there are heaps of better coasters they need before a B&M unfortunately. The only other option would be if Sydney got a theme park again. There are plenty of concepts but nothing happening yet… so your probably right. Our parks just can’t support a B&M at the moment. Maybe 20 years ago if they didn’t get caught up with other things
  16. Either rides are getting older or maybe it has something to do with WoO
  17. No I know that they are 2 different coasters I just thought originally that the swinging turns was a SLC but I know realise it’s a suspended not a invert. does anyone know what layout “supernova” had? The POV is no help because it is pitch black
  18. Oh so more of a suspended coaster then a invert. I don’t think any of the arrow suspended coasters had inversions so I doubt the vekoma one did. The way the trains were designed inversions wouldn’t have worked. had a quick look. It now operates at dream world Thailand as “sky coaster” alongside expo 88’s supernova now “black hole coaster” this park likes to say it’s a coaster in the name just in case you didn’t know it was a coaster and thought it was a torture device I think after looking at the data base Luna park Sydney has had the most different coasters in its history then any other park in Australia. btw does anyone know what the oldest steel coaster in the Southern Hemisphere is?
