  1. Is scooby doo open yet? Has anyone had a chance to see what new improvements it got?
  2. Not sure that would be the best investment theses days. We are not really in the coaster wars anymore and a shorter height coaster with a amazing layout would be better received imo. Something like fury 325 but even that I can’t see happening. Maybe a RMC or intamin hyper that’s 250ft?
  3. It’s funny there’s only 6 inverting/upside-downing coasters left in Australia. Compared to 20 years ago we still had heaps of inverting coasters. Thunderbolt, corkscrew, Big Dipper 2 / cyclone, lethal weapon, Demon, Expo 88 SLC (that was different to lethal weapon yes?) Was there more? I just realised that’s basically the same amount we got now but gold coaster is the last of the seniors left. We really need a modern inverting invert coaster
  4. I wish a cared more but I will probably never get to cedar point so I find it hard to get to excited at least until we get something confirmed. Rn it’s just 100Million rumours.
  5. Yeah I think it will too but I thought making an wildly unrealistic prediction would be fun just in case.
  6. I am going to add one more prediction. That dreamworld announce or continue to hint about a possible hotel. And the plans for the hotel Village out side movieworld will be canceled or just not end up happening..
  7. Not all 10 yr olds are that brave though. I know I wouldn’t have been at 10. But I was a very pathetic 10 yr old. I did scooby and that scared the day light out of me when I was 8
  8. How tall is Sydney’s one? Weird looking from above and seeing the resemblance to WNW
  9. Maybe a Larson drop tower. Cheaper and do the opposite of batwing. Launching you down instead. Unless maybe they went all out and got a S&S axis and got a S&S tower at the same time to try to get a deal. Love everything else though good ideas. Even a swinging ship would be fun actually.
  10. I know that’s what I thought! That’s why it’s number one on my bucket list yet I know for a fact I will probably do every other coaster in Australia first due to Perth being so hard to get to. Does the credit at green valley farm count? The home made single rail shuttle coaster?
  11. Really makes me want to plan a trip to Melbourne. You realise you got coaster-itis when you start wanting to plan trips primarily for riding coasters.
  12. Adventure park got the short end of the stick when it comes to location. I can see heaps of people doing LPM, GW and fun fields in one trip but skipping AP because it’s a bit more out of the way. They really gotta add something just to make it unmissable
  13. It would be great if gumbuya added a resort . A nice low fleshed out one with pools and a cheaper side too. Just stay there a few nights and do all the vic parks
  14. A Lech coaster clone or something inspired by it would be good thrill coaster there. Maybe they should really go all out and do a Vekoma STC max thrill. Why would you clone a coaster that’s already on the Gold Coast? Maybe a family wooden coaster that’s less intense then Levi
  15. Hm I think calling SE escape underrated is a bit far. It’s probably Australia’s most overrated coaster. Some people put it above ST and some even put it above DCR. It definitely gets more credit in Australia at least then it really needs
  16. That’s awesome. How did Tom Scott just appear in Australia. He does very unique interesting videos. would love just a 20 minute interview with the old guy at the end.
  17. That’s what I thought too. Maybe they didn’t feel like reprograming that in? And yes it can go both ways
  18. Is WNW’s sky coaster 300 ft? From some angles it looks way higher then DCR. Also interesting it looks like RWS’s sky coaster is a different model and style even though village owned both the parks at one point? Why not buy 2 of the same ride. There might be bits of a flow rider style ride in the back lot of RWS
  19. It is a shame they will miss SE as it’s a 1 of a kind in the world you can only ride in Australia but they seem to be more interested in DCR anyway. I think they are in for a real shock when they realise how little ground space MW has.
  20. It’s such a shame. If they just kept up minor maintenance and even just cleaning the outside of the cars and kept everything loobed it probably would have been fine
  21. I can imagine sky coaster needing trained professionals to operate it as you gotta strap people in right and hold it all correctly (I am not explaining it well I don’t know how it works but something like that) as for flow rider I am not sure? Did the company who supplied parts to bust? Or is it actually hard to operate?
  22. I can see some of the smaller parks really putting in a bit of effort but I csn’t see village going out of their way to do much extra. They are a huge company and looking after a few individuals doesn’t seem like there thing but I could be wrong.
  23. I mean also ticket prices, at least yearly ones are fairly cheap if you think about it. A year pass for the 2 water slides at Ballina costs over $300
  24. I hope it doesn’t become like WNW’s sky coaster and just stay closed forever. Or like their flow rider, coaster half pipe thing, zip line.. damn WNW has so many attractions just sitting there I just realised
