  1. Pretty smart move in some ways haha. I got a feeling then the CEO might not have been so unset
  2. Facebook has got to be the hardest big app to navigate. It’s so complicated and confusing. You would think a multi billion dollar company could make a less confusing app. Instagram is not much better.
  3. I agree they let it drop to low to quick with 0 publicised future plans. I don’t like digging for the negatives but Some of me can’t help wonder if spending $35M on a family coaster is the best investment for a park that lost so many rides.. I will have to wait to judge and I would love to be wrong but it does seem risky to me. You could get a few of filler rides and a vekoma thrill with that money. Seems hard to market a family coaster. If the theming is top notch it will be a great ride. Doesn’t seem like it will drive much gate though? Rebuilding 1:1 a past ride does seem like a move backwards but then again hulk was rebuilt group up. Wipeout was so good I would not complain if they did this.
  4. Could you explain? @Aw hypeI don’t really get what you mean?
  5. I think it’s not to bad it gets the odd “animal help group” upset but they don’t often realise the bigger picture the dolphins have a decent sized bay to be in I doubt they are looking up at vortex and complaining. I am sure the dolphins well-being was put into consideration when adding vortex. Dolphins are naturally curious and like fun so I think they would kinda like vortex in some ways. Plus it doesn’t operate enough to be annoying for them.
  6. Really happy they are doing this. Great to have some diversity in sky voyager. It really is incredible. In a perfect world sky voyager would look something like this on the outside though. 🙏 🙏 🙏 c’mon DW please?
  7. That would be cool sedge Hamer is very unique. Still surprised it’s the only one of its kind. another good one is One of those new chance enterprises would be a great tribute ride and they look amazing imo. One of the best things with wipeout was the wave backdrop. Not many flat rides can use back drops as well as wipeout did.
  8. I think it will be in their plan to put some ride there. If they wanted to do a tribute to wipeout they could get a intamin tourbillon but that ride would probably have just as many maintenance issues as wipeout did. What do you guys think would be the perfect ride for that spot? What ever goes there would look sick with gold coaster behind it.
  9. WWF is in the lead with 39 votes Storm with 11 votes and the plunge with 1 vote. the plunge is essentially Australia’s last “classic” log flume.
  10. They have not stated it’s going to do wonders… it’s just the nature of the attraction they give a lot of kinetic energy.. I don’t know why people enjoy putting down DW so much. Just be happy somethings happening there
  11. No we still have a lot to go but we got the trendy ones : world got SLC’s we also did, world got Arrow loopers we also did, world got hydronic launch’s we also did, world got boomerangs we also did, world got air launched towers we also did, I think Australia will have a RMC by 2030 easy. Maybe even sooner
  12. That’s great to hear. Would love some custom audio on the way up.
  13. Good to hear iron dragon is here to stay. I wonder if they will get a few new track pieces to reroute it? I wonder if S&S or vekoma will supply it. Australia got 1 of basically every type of coaster but we missed out on the swinging inverted coaster unfortunately…. They look really fun! (Edit) just realised Expo 88 had a vekoma one! We didn’t miss it, I just did.)
  14. Looks like they had fun! I used to prefer storm over this but leviathan does everything storm does but better so jet ski’s moved up. But I wouldn’t call it a family ride like they did
  15. Does this mean the last day you can’t ride SE is the 30th or is the 30th the day it’s open again?
  16. I would rather CP scrap dragster then scrap iron dragon. They better get ID operating again. Even if the reroute that bit…
  17. Both don’t fully have any direct comparison ride. Both have indoor sections/the whole thing indoors. I feel like they have similar thrill level and intensity levels too. Even though one is taller. They both have decently themed queue lines too. And they are Mack but that’s not the main reason. But comparing it with the log rides makes more sense.
  18. I remember seeing it. It was a year or 2 ago now though.
  19. I feel like the only other thing Storm can be compared with is scooby doo. But I think this is a good idea. I personally like the drop and air pop on storm more but the theming is good on WWF but you can’t marathon it because it’s a slow ride
  20. I would watch This website this weekend to see how leviathan goes. Just scroll down to the village parks and tap refresh. It will show when a ride temporarily closes and it updated way sooner then the website. Based on how it goes today and tomorrow It should give you an idea what wait times and reliability is like. I think you have more of a chance of getting in then you think. But if you only have a small window to go there I recommend going around 12 pm. The lines will be the longest all day but there’s more of a chance it will be open
  21. I would like to know who the two are who voted dingo racer and what exactly you thought made the ride so great. just realised Aussie world got rid of the ettemogah or how ever you spell it pub! I love that place why on earth did they remove it
  22. Here’s what I would like - seaworld. The line up at seaworld is really good at the moment they do lack a coaster that inverts but I think they need a VR replacement first. They have room where corkscrew was and where VR sits. I would like to see VR get a tribute or a restoration. Keep the castle and everything and have it basically run the original course through the towers but have a dark ride bit inside the castle first so you come out of the station go around storm where there’s still trough then enter the castle and then loop back around and go up the lift through the towers and drop down. Either with new trough or restore what’s there. - movieworld. Needs a decent dark ride. Either replace JL or put it somewhere else. Not sure where but they would find a spot. MW doesn’t have a proper coaster that inverts either but I don’t think it really needs one. -wet’n’wild. Needs a speed slide like one of the 3 that was on the Mack 5 tower. Or something really unique in the spot left of kamikaze. -Dreamworld. Needs 2 things a good water ride and another ST level thrill coaster. But the rule is one each park so with people still not at ease about the rapids ride I wouldn’t go near a water ride for a while. So I would pick a RMC hybrid/topper track to rival DCR. They would then have: RMC - DCR . ST-SE . GC - GL. GD - BWSS . And that’s the big ones down Scooby beats MC and there’s not one thrill flat ride imo at DW that’s not better then DD. White water world - this park has a really good line up one of those racing half pipe slides that look like a kind cobra would be cool. Luna park Sydney - room is very limited. Off the top of my head I can’t really think of something that they fully need. I haven’t been there since the rework so it’s hard for me to judge what they need. Maybe just a few clean ups of some areas. luna park Melbourne - this one is the most unrealistic probably but if they shuffled a few things around they could actually fit a sky-rocket ll into the park. Someone else on these forums figured it out and it would work without removing any major attractions or buildings. But it seems like LPM is run more as a “look how amusement parks used to be” then a competing park. Which is totally fine it’s one of the best examples of a classic amusement park in the world. I do wish they kept the jet-star though. adventure park - a next gen vekoma like fonox would be dreamy. Gumbuya world - could also use a next gen vekoma preferably a launched one or maybe a intamin mega lite Fun fields - this one is tricky they have a great slide line up. I haven’t actually been here but I think a Larson drop tower would be a great fit. magic mountain NSW - home to Australia’s oldest steal roller coaster I believe. Maybe a mini gerstlaur euro fighter like adrenaline peak at oaks park in Oregon. green valley farm - another little slide would be fun Raging waters Sydney - a twister slide would be great. adventure world - intamin mega lite or a N-G vekoma suspended thrill coaster i think thats all the parks I can name off the top of my head.
  23. I never got to do the other side of mammoth falls while it was at wet’n’wild. I gotta say I loved when there was a volcano/rock thing around the green body slides it really made it look better. I think aqua loop is better then twister but something about those twister slides especially the full length ones are awesome. A few years after this the speed slides at the back of the park were added too those were epic. I think wet’n’wild feels a bit temporary or something right now. The way the back of the park slides like tornado and kamikaze are just placed on a grass field but the slides there now are a lot better but all the cohesion is gone nothing is very cohesive and the SBNO stuff everywhere isn’t helping but I wouldn’t want to go back. Though the volcano around the green slides should be rebuilt in some form and remove the zip lines. They also need an opinion to go alone of some of the rides instead of being forced to have 2 people per raft. WWW do this
