  1. It's more than a shame, it's ridiculous. It looks like it would be an awesome ride. This tower looks slighlty unsafe to me even though the technology is obviously there, I'd sure like to try it
  2. I guess it'll take years before we get one here, but we live in hope huh?
  3. I agree, Dreamworld certainly has more rides but the quality isn't as good as Movie World's attractions.
  4. Thanks for that I used to go there almost every week & it's memory will never leave me. I used to love it as it felt magical & like you were in another world. I also liked the small lift hill at the beginning & how the boat would roll down the other side into the North Pole scene sigh
  5. That was one of my favourite's too, there was the two scenes you mentioned & a jungle scene with Tarzan & Jane & that huge waterfall with all those flamingo's, there was the Neptune's kingdom with the mermaids as well. There was also a small scene of a wolf howling at the moon & lastly before you exited, there was a huge golden budda scene...I wish it was all there today
  6. Great shots, thanks for posting them
  7. GREAT model...I wish I had the patience to do something like that
  8. What's with these people? Why move next to the park & then whinge about the noise, honestly!
  9. Can we get back on track here guys? Has anyone heard anything more about this??
  10. Well I've been to both SFMM & SFV, if I were you, I'd give the one in San Francisco a BIG miss. I found the park dirty & half the rides including Roar & the new twisting rollercoaster ( I can't remember it's name but think it's LIM launched ) were all closed up for the day. This was in the middle of July which shocked me & also the River Rapids ride was completely drained. I thought it was a waste of a day & money, the only good coaster that was open was Medusa but it wasn't worth the cost of admission to ride just that. Also it's as hot as hell in that part of SF with very little shade at the park.
  11. I agree, I went on Lethal Weapon over the Easter break & all I can say is ouch Apparently it had just had new wheels installed, this did nothing to stop your head crashing from side to side as you went through the barrel rolls, I decided that it would be my last ride on it after that.
  12. Favourite ride... Pirates Of the Caribbean ( Disneyland ) Unbeatable classic water ride with breathtaking scenery & awesome animatronics. Least Favourite ride... The Gravitron, all it did was made me feel ill.
  13. Yes, the water shortage in NSW is very troubling. However, THIS thread is about the possibility of Disney building a theme park in NSW. You know guys, assuming they actually build, it may not necessarily take as long to build this park as DLP or HKDL. For a start it won't be as big, & they don't need to reclaim land like they did in Hong Kong.
  14. I think it's wonderful for an Aussie company to get a deal like that. There are some extreemly talented people here & it's great to see that other countries recognise this.
  15. That show was not the best even though the idea was good. It's a shame that it was never revamped with new animatronics & such...oh well.
  16. I'm affraid that I agree with Dr Teeth....Wonderland is gone forever so let's just let it go huh?
  17. Such a shame that poor old Luna Park has to go through all this. I can't understand why people would move next to it to then complain about noise. It never seemed to bother the old residents when the park was running all those years ago.
  18. I also feel that it will be a good thing for DW. The kids will adore it there's no disputing that
  19. Hey guys, lighten up...Fred Flintstone's Splashdown was really a kiddies ride so that doesn't count. BTW. Ned Kelly's Getaway was a fun ride while it lasted, but it hasn't been there for years has it? As for the Beach, it was never my favourite place to visit as there were too many kids there. I suppose that's what it was there for, families & teens &...I personally didn't feel that they had a decent enough selection of slides to warrant spending time there. Once you've been to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard beach at Walt Disney World, all the rest pale in comparison IMO
  20. Sorry but I don't consider it a " ride " if I have to get into a swimming costume to enjoy it
