  1. If you'd grey out on superman, you certainly will on this. Pretty intense G's, of all types (positive, lateral, negative). Especially rear-facing.
  2. They have wait times listed, yes. Single rider quickest at the moment. They're getting quicker at cycling the trains, although you do have a short wait in the brake run (a chance to catch your breath). Just rode forward mid train. Fantastic ride in that direction too! If anything the Stengel Dive is a fraction of a second to catch your breath. The view of the track (below you and far away) from the lift hill is amazing. The black fence in the GL queue rumbles as Rivals comes back through the bunny hops. My my day is done, rode twice. Off to family thing now.
  3. Just met a few Parkz members. Enjoy, everyone! I believe I just had a religious experience. Backwards is magical. I know this track by heart from the construction thred, yet was still blown away by the G's everywhere, especially in the snappy turns, and I agree with the posts before me - airtime in the back seat is insane, especially the bunny hops! Felt like I was being thrown out the back of a ute going over a crest. I also like the dips in the helix, those G's felt great in reverse. 2 Trains running!
  4. Stopped at same waiting point as yesterday, apparently (near JL exit). Line is back to GL queue entry only! So, 200 people at most? The guy with the upcharge wristband billboard is walking the line announcing "you're welcome to wait, but no guarantee we'll soft open today!" There's plenty of Rivals staff here today. I can only stay at the park until 12 so I'm happy to wait solely for it. The PCL guys are about 20 in front of me. Quietly confident.. Well, guess my 1st ride is backwards! They're selling wristbands. 99% likelihood it's soft opening today. Staff are hooting and hollering. We're going in!
  5. No, in the fountain area. We've therefore been moved into the Rivals/Batwing/GL/JL precinct. The other rides here are now open (10am).
  6. I'm in line inside the front gate - it's blocking general park access - lol. Mister Hammond your Hyper is (empty) testing.
  7. Some questions: Was it soft open to the general public, or specific passholders? How do the 4 lines work? Fastpass shortcuts past the theming (path alongside the plants)? Any audio in the queue/station, or just the audio from the screens? Any drones about? How were the rideops? Any Mack staff there? Where do you buy the rear seat passes? Would the queue have had enough room for DC Villains wristband interactive elements? Who's going tomorrow?
  8. Yeah - was trying to figure out how they could take those pics from outside the construction site (if they didn't get approval).
  9. Check out Joker's head in the car park. I only have a few hours spare on Sunday Morning. Crossing Fingers..
  10. Oh dear. Not again. Thanks for the news and photos everyone (especially @themagician).
  11. The voice acting is hilarious. It sounds like a parody of 'voiceover guy'. The inaccuracies of the ad's claims have already been raised above. I am happy though that this ad actually goes into the theming of the ride.
  12. I've got no problems, being a pass holder, was a little surprised thinking so much was down for pre-school holidays maintenance.
  13. Yes it is now - but was certainly closed just after park opening, as above photo shows. The back end of the park is dead, with DD and WWF closed. My stepson just rode Superman Escape for the first time. Queue for it is now back to the line guard point, so the park's filling up well.
  14. There's 2 rideops manning GL's gate, and it is doing occasional test cycles. Otherwise scheduled maintenance I think.
  15. Pretty quiet at MW today - wonder why? (They're out of room on the ride closure sign)
  16. Yet to be seen, but likely a missed opportunity I reckon that the queue line won't have guest interactivity using the DC villains wristbands. Perfect way to distract guests in line. From all photos of the queue area, looks like static displays only.
  17. I'm interested in it in this forum, if it's an initial part of an entertainment precinct such as Citywalk.
  18. Thanks for the pics and vids in the last few posts, @themagician The soft opening potential is looking good.
  19. I haven't tried any real building recreations before, so this one's my first try. Guest services at Movie World. Gonna force myself to keep doing these, I've been relying upon the workshop too much.
  20. ...kinda thought Richard addressed this in the article? The modelling gets performance accurate to within x%, trimming gets the forces to intended levels?
