  1. Vintage cars not moving was my gut instinct, too. Vintage cars are from the early 1900s, Eureka is set sometime in the 1800s. I still see the TRRR footprint left as parkland for a year out of respect. As this thread is about Eureka, however, I'll ask: are we any closer to an answer regarding the current ride staying, or a new one going up quickly inside a hollowed-out, theming removed mountain?
  2. I didn't get a chance to do it at Bathurst in 2014 - looked like fun. (No I'm not a FPR fan.)
  3. Nice pictures, but the Hyper's price is listed in the pics?
  4. Yeah sorry you're right in that the path won't be there. It appears to cut under DC Rivals between the first airtime hill and non-inverting loop.
  5. Thanks for the update @themagician - the arch in the supports leading into the brake run - room enough for the walkway towards the bridge to Top Golf...?
  6. I am pretty sure the part in italics in Maxx's post is still stored in the clipboard, for the 'journalist' to just CTRL-V at any opportunity.
  7. Apologies if this has already been posted. Guy passes out multiple times on a coaster. Language warning. (This version has the Windows start & stop sounds added for comedic effect.)
  8. Agreed - @bladex you see an illusion because the lift hill is closer to the camera by about 30m.
  9. So the bridge will connect to MW's carpark direct, or be part of a second entry for the park?
  10. (Doubles as) Facial recognition for the dolphin protesters?
  11. ...building a Woodie/Hybrid would be fine, DW will have new owners by the time major maintenance would be required.
  12. Check out Gravity Group's new coaster in Kissimmee, near Orlando in Florida - The Mine Blower. Includes a corkscrew over the station:
  13. Yes - although Bermuda Triangle used the same loading/unloading station. From memory.
  14. Fascinating Flickr gallery of the Gold Coast in the late 80s. Curated by the Qld State Archives - including pics of Sea World and Wet n Wild.
  15. @Coaster Hipster Merci beaucoup for the highly detailed posts on this amazing summer park tour you're on. We're all très jaloux.
  16. Sunset/Twilight - maybe a camera onboard for an ad?
  17. So, coaches left lane only once the road reopens??
  18. I agree, perhaps this is just a time filler/stop-gap until something else goes in?
  19. I enjoyed the Mummy at Orlando, but I treat it as a dark ride first, coaster second.
  20. I'm still keen on a multi level carpark that won't obstruct vision of the hotel and park from Entertainment Rd. Maybe built underneath the current carpark that could be turned into citywalk styled dining/entertainment.
  21. ...or just the Planet Coaster equivalent. Great theme park music.
  22. As Eureka discussion keeps popping up in other threads, I thought I'd revive this thread. My interpretation of DW's CEO mentioning they're "looking at" bringing back the "mine ride" as: that they're looking at a new ride. I agree with others who have said it's tied too much into TRRR's infrastructure; the track and interior is likely not salvageable; and might not be insurable. If the replacement mine ride goes into the same site, in or around a new mountain, there's now more height to work with. Going by the picture by Parkz below, if the lake is removed with TRRR, the Mine ride could go all the way down to even below the current waterline. Image from Parkz - Original use here. For posterity, here's recent threads that mention Eureka/'Mine Ride': - Dreamworld Focuses on Iconic, Memorable Experiences in 2017 - Storm damage of Eureka Mountain (loosely related).
