  1. Fully assembled now with fences back (thanks to Theme Park Ogre)
  2. Just seeing this now and I can't believe people believe this on Facebook. TSPN is also trying to convince people bullshit that the top hat will be made double the height, being changed to 80m/260ft so taller than DC Rivals. This is very unrealistic as I said and made most likely for clickbait to get more followers. If they are using LIMs that are slower than hydraulics, how would the train get up the 80m tophat, unless there is a spike (which would ruin the story). I know TPSN makes fake news for followers but this is plain up stupid.
  3. I agree, not to mention it would give Movie World a reputation similar to what happened with the Dreamworld TRRR incident. Long maintenance > Unsafe maintenance
  4. If we count the days it was closed for this period as well as the unscheduled maintenance at the start of the year (first 9 days) then it has been closed for 142 days out of 169. If it just keeps getting extended I feel like it might be time to get rid of it.
  5. Agree. It would be good if they got the trains used on TNT etc (OTS Lap Bars). They are very comfortable and provide a smooth experience. I feel like one of the reasons they cannot switch the trains is because the SFC450 trains are not compatible with the SFC342 track. It could be due to the length of the track being different due to them being made years in between eachother.
  6. Concrete has been ripped up in one half of the area (thanks to Jaggs Journeys)
  7. Arms are on for the plane ride (thanks to Jaggs Journeys)
  8. Signage is up (thanks to Jaggs Journeys)
  9. Thanks for the interview. I feel like having tilting gondolas would have made it more extreme than LLDoD and ZDoD purely due to them. It would be pretty scary tilting downward and looking straight at the ground. P.S Do you have any more info about KABD and the Wave Swinger?
  10. Read the Surfrider thread. Apparently swapped with SH v SV and will be in the summer holidays.
  11. Unfortunately according to the website it will close at 5:30pm, with rides closing at normal time.
  12. sorry for posting in this thread, didn't know where to put it 8 of the 15 rides at Movie World are down for maintenance, including 5 of the 7 major rides (DCR, WWF, SD, DD, GL) as well as half the kids rides (Splash Zone, Carousel, Sylvester). Only SE and BS as well as some kids rides are open, with SE having a 170 min wait time. Must hurt for a family going today seeing all the rides they wanted to go on closed.
  13. Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I'm hoping that Surfrider will open before October TBH. I never got to ride it at Wet N Wild so will be good to finally ride it (can't go whenever I want due to me being in another state). I'm surprised the attraction hasn't been announced officially yet, however DCR wasn't until construction had well and truly started.
  14. A bit disappointing is HFH is being replaced by HVS. Instead of having multiple events MW just decide to do the same event multiple times in a year.
  15. Work has started on the rest of the area (thanks to Theme Park Ogre)
  16. Looks great, however I hope the ramps are repainted (unless it is a Supergirl theme, in which it would fit in). Having blue supports/ramps wouldn't fit in with the Flash colour IMO.
  17. I have noticed that Leviathan is doing a different maintenance period compared to most rides. Instead of it being 1 long period for 2 months, there will be 4 maintenance periods for 2 weeks, the first being in mid-March, second in mid-June, third in early-September and the last in late-November.
  18. Just saw it. Good video, goes into depth about the history of the ride and explains things even I didn't know about. Also shows some history of the park which is also good.
  19. No no no no. Very bad idea. The reason Village and Ardent are investing heavily into theming is due to competition. If Dreamworld was acquired by Village it would end up being a bad option, as Village would most likely slack off theming etc. due to there being no competition and not having to worry.
  20. That’s great to see, glad they were replaced and not removed entirely.
