  1. I have to say Jungle Rush ops were electric tonight! Pre-board announcement before the train has arrived, gates opened as guests get off, restraints being checked before the train was fully seated yet. Pre-dispatch announcement whilst they’re checking restraints, then it was an almost immediate dispatch as soon they reached the final restraints and checks. Without timing it, I honestly think from the moment I sat down to when we were moving was less than 30 seconds. Not only did this help keep wait times down, but also minimised the time the other train is waiting out on the rain. Absolutely seamless.
  2. Getting financial advice from Parkz wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card…
  3. Looks like AP is $10, day tickets are $15 more expensive at the gate…
  4. Ops aren’t anything special on KT, there’s lots of room for improvement. But they’re lucky the capacity is so huge that there’s barely a line or wait… Max I’ve ever waited for KT was 11mins. That’s including the walk.
  5. There has always been a sliding door, but I’ve noticed ops not using it all the time. When it first opened they were sliding it back and forth with every dispatch, no issues. Then a week or two later, the ops weren’t touching the sliding door and I’ve saw people losing things/picking up other’s property by mistake, and people currently on the ride stuffing their things into where I put my phone and keys. It helps when Ops use the sliding door
  6. Probably will open 2 days after King Claw soft opens…
  7. Yeah… I saw people scratching at them day one as well as trying to unravel the ropes in the joins. Can’t have nice things…
  8. Yeah 2018, he left not long after… one wonders why 😏 Regardless, being GM or COO doesn’t mean you call the shots. He still had to answer to Bikash and/or Clark and I’m sure many others. You can see the vast difference between being able to call the shots and being a few rungs down the ladder… just look at the past 3/4 years at DW.
  9. It’s Greg-era Dreamworld we’re talking about here, not Movieworld…
  10. Flying in for disappointment when they realise the Insta filters don’t match reality
  11. Would be a cool addition… I think it would need to hold the train for longer to tell a story before dropping though
  12. 100% agree with this one. Guaranteed to be the most popular ride on the GC now! (In terms of catering for the masses)… don’t hunt me down all you DC Rivals diehards There are the 1 or 2 white ones as well Look… if I could fault the ride experience in any way, it would be the motors are too loud. not because I’m being sensitive… I feel like there’s supposed to be sound effects are you travel around, past those 3 heads, etc. and over the motor noise you can’t hear anything Unless I’m totally wrong about the SFX… in which case, no faults 😂
  13. I was honestly expecting MC to stick out like dogs balls especially walking back towards Main Street from Jungle Rush. The little they’ve done to the store has ensured it fits in as nice as possible with spending as minimal as possible. You hardly notice there’s a motorbike racing ride right next to all this jungle theming. Definitely will tie it over for 24 or so months until they can fund a replacement or returns
  14. No I mean outside of his remuneration. I mean for DW to see record ticket sales, market share, etc
  15. Greg has been working tirelessly to turn DW around for 5-6ish years… and it’s done it by leading from the forefront. The man deserves some reward from his efforts via ticket sales, market share and share price *he’s
  16. I’ve really tried to remain unbiased, but damn the differences in openings are polarising. I really hope Clark or Bikash get a chance to visit Dreamworld today for some learnings they can apply to MW…
  17. I’m pretty sure it’s a massive share portion… probably enough for 3 if not 4
  18. Who would’ve thought 6 years ago people would complain there isn’t enough seating at Dreamworld 😂
  19. Latest video: https://youtu.be/dRyROpljJx0?si=--sApbO7d5At0g_f
  20. Yeah it’s a bit ridiculous. They hold majority of the line inside within the first half of the queue, then sending a small group to wait at the halfway point of the cattle run in that random shade part, then the final small group of 20ish would wait before the castle. I don’t think the forest is actually air conned as waiting around those stairs was torture, not as bad as in the sun, but not as nice as when you first walk inside and the queues split. Also, was it just me or was the final “cattle run” leaving both rides leave you feeling like you’re walking a prison exercise yard? (Thankfully haven’t experienced it in real life)
  21. If anyone’s interested, I grabbed a commemorative WOZ coin from the little one’s new annual pass. It’s a nice touch… wish both parks did this over the years for all the ride openings.
  22. Rivertown is ~$60M + Steel Taipan was ~$33M… there’s still $7M left to spend… No chance it’s because we’re just in Aus and things are more expensive. If not shelter because it might impact the theming… at the very least some bloody fans! The 80min line up for FOTWW was torture in the sun with barely a breeze. It was actually a slight relief when the ride went past and there was a small whoosh… Not sure if more will be added… atleast not anytime soon. If they really did spend $100M it’s going to take some time before they’ve got more funds to spend on any improvements or additions to it all.
