  1. Recently Movie World has been doing Throwback Thursday's and Flashback Friday's. It does seem strange that they have only been doing this for the past two weeks after nearly completing construction on the new float shed. I wonder if MW is conducting early market research through using these posts to find which ride has the largest fanbase for if they bring it back... unless I'm overthinking but it is fun to speculate.
  2. If there is anything in the main envelope that is required since there isn’t any drive tires or much else out there you’d only expect track inspection and possibly some sensors and theming. Most parks can get track inspections done before opening so realistically it’s not unprecedented to do those and any larger projects can be done during the day in the closed off station area. most parks being, Europa, universal (look at their BTS of the Mummy things like that).
  3. With KT having two tracks that can run independently from each other, you would hope they adopt the Dreamworld style approach that they do to the giant drop where they would perform annual maintenance to one side at a time leaving the other one operating
  4. I wonder if they did sell it, with how they haven’t touched the ride it’s self it definitely aligns with what this person suggests happens when I ride gets relocated
  5. I do not think thye should repopen Rivertown's station unless they can increase the capacity. On some weekends I have visited the park, the train can be quite a nightmare to get on, and on several occasions i have been shut out from getting on because it is too full.
  6. I would say, that it is crazy to not have the WoO open during the event, even if it was already costed and budgeted they probably had a comfortable profit margin already and should have the ability to spend a little more on having it open, unless of course their profits are so slim they can’t afford to spend that much more on staffing. But even then how can they then justify having it open during the day…
  7. Didn’t Disney do this when they were testing Tiana’s Adventure? there is still time for them to add the additional new styled vehicles if that’s still the path they are wanting to go down.
  8. Personally I believe DW desperately needs a well themed water ride, something on Wild West Scale or Splash Mountain… they could even steal the theme from Mystic River Falls… they don’t need to build a whole mountain but it would require theming if it wants anything on WWF. Thrill rides are cool, but if you want a full day out you need those longer experiences that are longer then 2 minutes
  9. Both trains? Also you would be better off asking anyone but operations, from my experience in past jobs, the ground staff don’t usually get told what is happening it is more news that get tricked down the river, I therefore cannot trust the accuracy of that “source”. maybe there is another reason that hasn’t been considered, it’s an Intamin, and intamin takes a longer time to send parts out, maybe they found they needed a part but didn’t have it on hand? Like what happened with Superman Escape?
  10. I mean the Gel Blasters and LMCT+ Event don't seem family focused, maybe they are only wanting to push that for the general public as apposed to private events?
  11. They could be doing this now especially as they can just be cycling from transfer to the station, the ride does not need to do a full circuit to test any of the finer things. I would imagine there would be more then just one team working on the Jungle Rush area, and while some teams are working on MM, I'm sure Vekoma is down there programming and testing alot of the smaller aspects to a rides commissioning process. Not everyone works in a theme park, so no I'm going to assume most people have not read an operational manual related to a theme park ride
  12. I don't think the testing is the end all and be all, doing some rough math and assuming the ride lasts 3 minutes, to get 500 cycles if that is what we are going to assume, that only requires 25 hours of cycles which can technically be achieved in two days if it comes down to that, or in 5days assuming they do 5hrs of cycling a day. We also haven't seen FoTWW start testing either so it is hard to know how far behind any of them are.
  13. Gold Coaster just needs a retrack, I'm sure Vekoma could provide that maybe some more interesting elements?
