  1. When it’s open 10-3 every day I am sure we can agree that it is open due to a lack of competition and even then it does not have enough customers to pull to see full day trading hours. water parks take a lot of staff to run so operating a second park for 5 guests a day doesn’t sound super efficient. although this winter has been warm so maybe it would have been best to at least keep weekend trade til july
  2. If Merlin wanted to buy it they’d 100% turn it into a Legoland…
  3. The question is, if CE is really going to sell Dreamworld. Who is going to do it first because BHG isn’t going to hold onto village for much longer I see them reopening SDSC operating it for 1-2 years drive that value of the chain up then sell at the peak. will someone even buy DW? Or village for that matter?
  4. If they are building resorts, who says they won't build a new park? it does seem like they are locking themselves in. But I still see a few areas that can be expanded into like behind WWW, the island in the middle, motocoaster and old LHLR site. Also we have seen parks get more creative withy how they use space (see phantasialand) they only have 50acres all up. So its not the end of the world as long as they can keep up with the new theming they have going and continue using the (frankly limited) land for new unique experiences.
  5. I thought Aussie World have a similar ride that they have already built that just isn’t opened yet?
  6. Is that last straight part before the station flat, make it an unload station it will help speed up the load, then because we are now spending money money money… like new ride level of money then let’s add another block on the transfer turn to hold the trains for if they have been unloaded before they are ready for dispatch… no trains waiting except for empty ones
  7. It does not take weeks… like at Hyperia every time that valleys they need to take it apart and rebuild it and it does not take weeks to put the second train back.
  8. https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/tsa-fails-tests-latest-undercover-operation-us-airports/story?id=51022188 not Australia, but our security models are very similar. this isn’t the only time, a simple google would yield more results.
  9. You don’t need to run three at once in order to own three. Having three trains means that you will have access to two trains for normal day to day operation look at SFFT they purchased a third train for IR to ensure year round two train operation.
  10. I rode it today, it seems like the film is way brighter, I’m not sure if they reversed the screen but it’s crystal clear and way more immersive! I unfortunately didn’t get to experience the Australia film as I ran out of time but from Africa people were screaming of joy in the more exciting parts with is something I did not experience in the America film
  11. Recently Movie World has been doing Throwback Thursday's and Flashback Friday's. It does seem strange that they have only been doing this for the past two weeks after nearly completing construction on the new float shed. I wonder if MW is conducting early market research through using these posts to find which ride has the largest fanbase for if they bring it back... unless I'm overthinking but it is fun to speculate.
  12. If there is anything in the main envelope that is required since there isn’t any drive tires or much else out there you’d only expect track inspection and possibly some sensors and theming. Most parks can get track inspections done before opening so realistically it’s not unprecedented to do those and any larger projects can be done during the day in the closed off station area. most parks being, Europa, universal (look at their BTS of the Mummy things like that).
  13. With KT having two tracks that can run independently from each other, you would hope they adopt the Dreamworld style approach that they do to the giant drop where they would perform annual maintenance to one side at a time leaving the other one operating
  14. I wonder if they did sell it, with how they haven’t touched the ride it’s self it definitely aligns with what this person suggests happens when I ride gets relocated
  15. I do not think thye should repopen Rivertown's station unless they can increase the capacity. On some weekends I have visited the park, the train can be quite a nightmare to get on, and on several occasions i have been shut out from getting on because it is too full.
