    well it says “rides and attractions” so i’m assuming Jungle Jane’s would count, maybe even the updated Tiger Island as well. I mean it’s very clear the park has changed A LOT, so no matter the count, it’s obvious in park.

    my guess is they are installing mist and the waterfall effects, i guess we’ll see on Tuesday though.

    it’s a shame it’s positioned right where a possible Atlantis expansion could’ve gone but oh well, the park is officially land locked now (i think atleast) so they’ll have to get creative.

    *i haven’t been to Carnivale this year* but speaking off of Fright Nights last year, i noticed as it hit 5 food & bev and operations staff were asking to see the wristbands and if they were a day guest they weren’t allowed to be served or ride, so im guessing sea world do the same thing as well. Security do normally walk around and get all day guests out.

    Kansas Twister and JR have the same trains, Twister takes a lot longer. Sky Voyager, Tailspin, Dreamworld Flyer, BRB, and GD all have decent ops. the only bad ones i remember are Gold Coaster, Motorcoaster, MM and KFF. im going to guess King Claw SHOULD have good ops, depending if guests can connect their own seatbelts or not.

    there is a show scene, there’s 3 big crystals in there that move up and down depending which way the turntable is moving, like a counterweight (when it moves to the right, the crystal on that side rises as the other one lowers ect.) the walls in there (besides the start of the lift hill but they’ve started painting them), are also all put up and themed now.

    it was a pass holder only event, every night event they’ve had recently has sold out. even though the pass holder events weren’t sold out, Steel Taipan had a line outside of its queue most of the night with two trains, Jungle Rush (even with its fast operations) had a queue spanning outside its entrance, Janes had a queue nearly reaching Jungle Rush’s entrance by the middle of the night, even Sky Voyager was using its extended queue. it was definitely busy… they just know how to manage their park better.

    what does trading hours have to do with “who won summer?” both parks are quiet now as school has gone back, reduced hours are fine when both parks are getting a very little crowd through the gate, it’s called running a business. trading hours ≠ better park. If it did, Wizard of Oz wouldn’t be the mess it currently is.

    in @Ogre latest video you can see Doomsday being stored in the back storage areas near Paradise Country and it looks like the ride was taken apart VERY carefully. with the foundation still in tact, including all wiring and ride booths, and the ride being very carefully pulled apart, could they just be refurbing the ride? it would’ve been pulled apart for its 10 year inspection next year anyways, maybe Intamin’s refurbing the existing ride and figuring out what’s wrong with it.

    i agree, it makes me a bit concerned for the Scooby refurb.

    it’s insane my visit the other day had around 3 min dispatches for FOTWW towards the end of the day, i really though dispatches had approved but it must’ve been so they could go home. it’s sad seeing them dig themselves into a bigger hole while Dreamworld is on the verge of being completely out of the hole old management dug. I really hope Movie World can have a turn around period after this and improve everything to be back to their old standards, let’s cancel that corporate hotel and spend that money on the park.

    what seems to be the new schedule is Superman (this year closes early in Jan), Batwing, Driving School and Sylvester’s Feb - April. Dc Rivals, Wild West, Flash, Marvin and Road Runner April - June you can’t see Green Lantern, Justice League, Speedy’s, Yosemite Sam’s, Splash Zones, Carousel or Wizard of Oz’s maintenance dates on the new maintenance page yet as it only shows 90 days in advanced (which imo is a flaw.) my guess is Green Lantern, Kansas Twister, Wicked Witch, Splash Zone and Carousel will be done July - October and Justice League, Scooby (when it’s back online), Yosemite Sam’s and Speedy’s November - early December.

    what a weird thing to say. the video is public due to it being evidence to the case, which this topic is about. he did say what the video was and issue a warning so i don’t think there’s anything wrong with sharing public information of a mistake some woman made. however, a video of a young girl being assaulted isn’t the same as that’s not a choice, that’s an inhumane act of violence against someone.

    there was a crane up this afternoon when driving past, but i couldn’t tell if it was for Superman or Wizard of Oz (i’d guess Superman as Flash is now listed as unscheduled maintenance.)

    yeah i’m not really sure, Jungle Rush’s gates open pretty much as the trains restraints unlock, and then the they’re checking before everyone’s even seated. i don’t get why they can’t do the same.

    i will say operations did seem to approve a but for FOTWW this afternoon (4:15pm onwards) with dispatches being around 3mins apart… if that was the average all day it’s gone from about 160 pph to around 400 pph. i wish the turn out of the station and start of the lift hill were enclosed with screens to block the view of the studio, maybe you could have flying monkeys taking off with you… its sad cause some parts of the area are so well done or you can see the potential but it just wasn’t unlocked. Row 10 FOTWW is a great ride though.

    i will say i don’t think the big piece on top of the rides entrance actually looks as bad in person as it does in photos, i believe the work being covered up is the instillation of the water falls.

    the arm and motor are sitting in the car park still completely together, i think it’s safe to say the ride has been sold. imagine it’s actually for down the road…

    oh, i would’ve much preferred the original Diamond that was in concept arts… that looks, interesting.

    maybe they’re moving Batwing to replace doomsday and putting S&S’s new rotating gondola’s on it (i’d say i’m joking but honestly who knows with how things are running there now.) honestly, i’d rather them knock down the show building then try and put a new show in there, i really don’t think management as they are currently would utilise the space well. an expansion of the west area with two flats and maybe a family thrill coaster (leaning more towards thrill like Leviathan) would be great, something like a Mack spinner, GCI woodie or Intamin launch coaster. they just need to leave enough space for the fright night sheds (or relocate them elsewhere) and they’re good.

    everytime i’ve drove by or visited the park lately the car park has been completely full, it seems like they’re actually doing really well now and it’s good to see. i wouldn’t be shocked if those old numbers are pulled again very soon.

    there actually is themed garbage bins in The New Atlantis that are around from when Vortex opened.
