  1. from what i’ve heard, no staff previews were done before opening. so not only were execs riding on opening day, you could see normal staff from all departments riding as well.
  2. i’m not sure if i’m remembering correctly, but wasn’t Wicked Witches station meant to have screens and show the Monkeys flying away as the train departed the station? i swear this was announced when the whole area was announced.
  3. yeah i think Rivertown definitely has been executed a lot better then WoO. i think when you hype up a product so much like they have for 4 years, you need to deliver more then you promised, especially when you’re saving money using cookie cutter layouts. the fact they haven’t even covered the concrete tunnel on FOTWW with atleast some fog speaks volumes. however, i haven’t seen it in person, so i’ll reserve my final judgements until i see it for myself.
  4. i’d assume the seatbelts are either just for children or so guests don’t hop out of the cars during the ride, which would make sense to have them there since there is a lot of water effects (with one section driving over the water.)
  5. Jungle Rush opened for technical rehearsals and is now taking guests.
  6. lmao my bad i actually thought they opened same year as ST but realised they got announced same year. but exactly, atleast they’ve refurbed and refreshed WWW, WNW was just left there to rot.
  7. i mean he quite literally said they’ve been looking into WWW and the time will come soon. Dreamworld was in a much worse state then WWW was when Greg came in, but he still gave the park a full repaint and refresh in all areas of the park and it is still the superior of the two major water parks. it’s not going to be the end of the company because they haven’t added a new slide since 2021 (which is only 3 years), they’ve shown they know what they’re doing, so it really isn’t that big of a deal.
  8. in terms of low crowds, June-August (excluding the school holidays) is the best time to visit. however, normally both Wild West and Dc Rivals are closed during this time. Feb still has some decent crowds but if you visit right as all states have gone back to school it will be really quiet but Superman, Flash and Batwing will most likely be closed.
  9. i mean you might be (and i hope you are) right, but even aside from that, i was expecting more then just indoor queue theming and… concrete. lets just hold out hope it looks better when it opens soon.
  10. yeah i know that but you can’t even see any smoke machines in the tunnel to create smoke… unless they add it last second?
  11. yeah i’m a bit disappointed tbh. where’s the rock work and smoke coming out of the tunnel? why’s there pool fencing surrounding it? why is it just all concrete and commercial looking? the white sheds left over from arkham too… i hope this video is old and more landscaping and theming has been added. it feels like all the budget went towards the indoor queues and emerald city facades, i hope im proved wrong. at this point, i am more excited for Rivertown and Jungle rush overall.
  12. i mean that’s true but businesses do tend to hire seasonals (especially for summer) around the time holidays do start, so it could explain it. either way, businesses are going to make financially smart decisions.
  13. could the weekdays be used for staff training for new summer seasonal workers? i know a lot of Dreamworld ride ops do work the slides as well so they could be operating the park for the opened weekends currently.
  14. one thing i’ll never understand is not being able to do up our own seat belts, especially with rides such as Superman and Rivals. people have been doing up their own seatbelts on Superman for 18 years, and Rivals for 3 years before covid, atleast Steel Taipan and Flash actually opened with those rules (even if SurfRider didn’t have that rule.) i wonder if we’ll be able to do the seatbelt on fotww ourselves or not.
  15. i don’t think the park has been forgotten, i think the park is just in a good enough state for it to be left without big investments while they sort out the dry park. i mean i still prefer it over WnW, but i do hope a lazy river is on the parks radar. maybe they could tie in Dreamworlds next coaster with a new Lazy River + slide tower and have interactions like Gold Coaster and TOH tower has.
  16. maybe they should’ve somehow gotten Ariana to come up here while she was in Australia… they really would’ve struck gold even harder.
  17. i mean if they can remove ToT but keep GD, i’m sure six flags could do the same with Superman and Lex Luther.
  18. it would be pretty reasonable pricing if they had full park availability across all parks. imagine a family of 4 spending $716 on passes, $100+ per day on food and bev, with Sea World having half its attractions currently closed, Scooby Doo & Doomsday closed with who knows what else closed and WoO not open yet, Wet n Wild being ran down. would that be worth around $1200?
  19. i wouldn’t be surprised if the area will open prior to the first night of White Christmas, maybe that’s why the event doesn’t start until the 7th instead of earlier. also, does anyone know how many nights the event is normally on? it seems like there’s fewer dates this year but i could be wrong.
  20. let’s just hope they don’t close the WoO coasters and scooby at the same time, but when Scooby reopens it should balance out maintenance periods a lot more (thank god.)
  21. this will most likely be the entrance used when Superman closes for maintenance just like when Arkham was operating, hopefully they leave it open at all times though.
  22. rides always test at night, let’s just be happy it’s testing now. even if it’s because “they’re behind schedule”, atleast they’re smart with time management.
  23. or maybe they’ll just open motorcoaster and rivertown at the same time? just because one got pushed back doesn’t mean the entire thing did.
