  1. The reason for crap attractions was council restrictions due to residential area - if not for that they could have had alot of cool rides etc..
  2. Quote :This development will represent the first entertainment destincation in Australia that delivers a unique blend of theme park fun and world class shopping adventure fully integrated into a themed retail environment," If this were true, then how do you explain Entertainment Quarter aka Bent Street @ Fox Studios - when they still had the Backlot??
  3. If Fox Studios wanted a theme park in Sydney, why didn't they step upto the plate when Wonderland where looking for new contracts??? Or at the very least Fox could have just bought-out the Wonderland Site and redevelope the place as new (like they tried @ Moore Park), the only reason I can blame the Backlots failure on was lack of space & too close to residents.
  4. Do you think if they used the marketplace as a temp entrance, they could develope the front carpark (coaches and dropoff) into a new themed area??
  5. Sorry but, what i meant to say is that a full scale shopping centre next to theme parks don't look attractive. Correct me if i'm wrong, but from the artwork in the post above it looks as though they aren't going to have a multistory carpark, so it'll take up alot of land. It won't be aestheticly pleasing, and it will also restrict any possible expansion of Dreamworld.
  6. What has been described is a regular shopping centre like Robina Town Centre. A citywalk like Universal or Disney has few shops and an emphassas (sorry if spelt wrong) on dining & entertainment. Can't they just build upon shops out the front like the Marketplace next to main entrance?
  7. Don't take that article too seriously, Firstly: the source is unnamed or unknown and, Second: i have read various posts and articles from all over (the net) claiming that Disney are not commiting to anymore parks in mainland Asia till they know if Hong Kong is a success. Re: Screamscape - Industry News, Disney (7/12/05). Almost forgot to mention that every Disney park has a hotel.
