  1. I know you said both in one day, but i said one day per park not one day for both.
  2. Why can't Sydney have more attractions like these? Ripleys is quite cool. On another note why does Surfers have so many mini-golf places? Are they training grounds for future pros because of all the pro clubs or what?
  3. Yeah it's alright. I remember when i was about 5 or so when it used to be Grundys Entertainment centre, back then its size was nearly the entire level all the way out to where i think is now a Red Rooster. That was huge!!
  4. Don't get me wrong i like the Police Academy show but it's been more than ten years - time to retire it for something new, and they could also replace the Matrix exibit. What if they made something like (Disneylands Buzzlightyear) themed to Terminator or similar? Do you think they will ever have another studio tour as the one @ Universal Studios is quite popular? They could make ride elements of some-sort similar to Universal -with New Line Cinema being a Warner company, imagine going through a Middle Earth battle set!!
  5. I'm confused, if the ad says it's Dreamworks Shrek (everyone knows of it being @ Universal Studios parks) then why would WVTP advertise with the catchphrase "Only at Warner Bros Movieworld"?? By the way i'm not against the idea of new attractions in our parks, but this one seems too old for me as it was a promotion for pre-Shrek 2. Anyway perhaps they can change it for the next 2 movies!! I'm still disappointed by this deal - what's next a clone of Disney Studios Lights, Motor, Action!! or Paramounts upcoming Mission Impossible show?
  6. Yes it's bad, they bought-out too many parks so quickly that they put this debt on themselves. I say if Bill Gates is still a shareholder he should be the one to take the company under his wing like a silent investor (not having anything to do with the board).
  7. Do they really count if they are closed? Also don't forget about all the Intensitys.
  8. Finaly, someone who's not picky about where it would go.
  9. It looks like YOU don't get it! Other studios don't get attractions @ Movieworld because they film there, they DON'T get attractions at all, because Warner Bros approves every attraction at any of their parks. That is the real reason why it's Warner Bros Movieworld!!! Duh
  10. Did you ever ride it when it was @ Luna Park? It was custom designed to provide maximum thrills for the site it was on at LP not Dreamworld, that was the mistake they made!!
  11. Dreamworld is about half the size of Disneyland, so how can anyone that's too big for kiddie rides not do it in one day. When i was @ Disneyland & DCA i unfortunately didn't get to do everything in one day each park. And yes it was in the slow season before Christmas!!
  12. Movieworld Germany had a halloween event and from what i've seen online it was popular & quite good- almost up there with Universals haunts.
  13. Again i agree with matty - they named the park for the studio. The reasoning for Hi-5 is the Nine Network have been partners/sponsors of WVTP for more than ten years (they cross-promote which also explains wide world of sports @ Intencity, WB characters on tv, etc.) & the pokemon promo was a WB movie , i could go on about the rest but i don't have to.
  14. How about they make a dark ride like Disneys haunted mansion based on the new release movie The Corpse Bride. I've been on haunted mansion holiday and thought it was awsome, but with Warner Bros having rights (to a sequal of sorts) they could go a one-up over Disney with modern technology.
  15. Dreamworlds Screamworld doesn't really count because they do it anytime they want instead of in season.
  16. It looks like you and me agree on alot of what's been said. I also like the Shrek movies & enjoyed the 4d attraction but it's not gonna happen here. On the other parks, not all of Universals attractions are their own concepts. Speilberg (half partner of Dreamworks) was looking to purchase Universal parks. Disney parks were approached by George Lucas to include his rides and some financial. With Warner Bros. now owning rights to the Terminator franchise who would say no to an attraction based on that?? Once again there will be no Shrek!!!
  17. Actually i thought the majority of visitors were in the 15-35's (just an average guess), they are the ones with more annual passes aren't they, which would mean they generaly spend more on say BB tickets, food & merchandise. So they get ONE RIDE & the kiddies get TWO whole AREAS redeveloped, when you look at it that way then no their not catering for everyone are they!!!
  18. I remember a halloween carnival/festival event in Sydney, in think it appeared two years in a row a couple of years ago but haven't heard of anything like it since. I think it was hosted by Fiona Horne.
  19. Has anyone got some goss on this project? I doubt it will be a Shrek attraction!
  20. There's nothing wrong with a decent woodie & they are very popular in American parks. As for the rest of what you said YOUR dreaming it'll never happen (or perhaps it will: in another 20 odd YEARS from now).
  21. I'm sure i've said this on another thread, but Citywalk is completly unnecessary and will end up resticting the park size from possible expansion!!
  22. Macquarie Leisure only want you to believe it can't be done in one day by adding these kiddy attractions so families have to take longer, but for everyone else there's just not enough. If you compare our parks to those overseas, you'll find that we have half the number of attractions that most parks have (including shows, etc).
