  1. Thanks heaps for the photos. Well, the show building is certainly still standing (even though you can see right through it). That to me, is a good sign
  2. I agree. And that's the thing I don't get - they did this twice! First with Arkham and now with JL. Came up with a perfectly good name and then changed it. Leads to confusion and a mismatch of logos and branding. And yes djrappa... I have plenty of other things to worry about - this is just one of many And yes I think Movie World (and Village parks in general) ARE doing a VERY good job overall... I just want them to be perfect!
  3. Except for the fact that Movie World responded to my question about it and said "Justice League - The Ride" is now the official name. But I think we all preferred Justice League: Alien Invasion anyway. No idea why they didn't just stick with that. Anyway, I give up
  4. I wonder if they'll ever get the smell of urine out. PS Worst signage ever!
  5. Thank you matt - I totally agree. It seems lately we can't have a discussion on these forums without it degrading into irrelevant crap and insults. Whenever I log onto the forum and see that a thread like this has a new post I think "great, someone's got some more news" or maybe someone has uploaded new photos. Don't want to read this other stuff
  6. I agree. And the logo looks great. They should just stick with it
  7. Good call. Anyway, I really like the artwork for the storm attraction. It certainly looks promising
  8. I was just thinking that the other day. Aqualoop is truly the worst name ever. And from what I remember it came about from a competition. Some girl came up with it and actually won prizes for it. Quite sad really
  9. How about a SIGN for Justice League to help direct guests. Still nothing there apparently. And does anyone know why they removed the Joker graffiti murals from the Arkham walls?
  10. Thanks very much for making us aware of this. Looks really interesting. I just signed up and I assume lots of others from this forum will too. Will be interesting to see if they stick with it.
  11. I'm so confused about what's going on in those pics. In the 2nd pic the flume channel looks new and as if it is made out of concrete, not fibreglass. IS it new? ie. did they have to construct a new channel to accommodate the new attraction?
  12. No thanks! Dreamworld has truly become the home of the spin & spew ride. Not interested at all. Now, when will Sea World's water coaster be open?
  13. Looks like we might have another Tony Teluan on our hands!
  14. Well, it's that fantastic immersive theming style that we have always loved about Movie World, but seems to have dropped off more in recent years. Although, has possibly made a return thanks to Justice League
  15. It's like Dreamworld has taken over Movie World's standard of theming. Very impressive
  16. Ahh okay, that explains it. I find it really interesting that the footers have gone in already. Perhaps it will be ready sooner than many of us thought?
  17. ^ Thanks matt! That looks promising... lots of footers and a channel(?)
  18. "Who else reckons the show building looks a bit like a 1980s suburban K.Mart?" - YES!!! Good call. In regard to the building, I noticed they have taken off most of the back wall and the side panels off the roof. Anyone have any clues why they might have done this? Would it just be to facilitate better access during contruction? I also noticed on Google maps that there is a side part of the building (on the flume ride side) which juts out and extends along the length of the building towards the back. It almost looks like a tunnel section. I'm assuming it was the splashdown and run-out for the first drop? Anyway, when looking at these construction pics, it doesn't seem to be there anymore. Did they remove this too?
  19. Agreed. I've gotta say - these additions are making me think it's almost worth a trek back out there. Haven't been there for years. I'm really pleased NSW is finally getting some decent (or any) waterparks
  20. Thanks heaps for the photo liz.wiz. I would LOVE to be able to see inside the show building - similar to the pics MW put up on their fb page of Justice League construction. The actual building looks like it's going to need a bit of work around the front and side with damage to the roof etc. Also, I'm assuming they are going to build a new big facade to cover the building - it's way too ugly to leave it exposed
  21. Wow, that's fantastic! So nice to see a REAL sign. The Joker looks great. This is the stuff I wanna see more of at Movie World. Now, about that non-existent Justice League sign
  22. On a side note I've got to say I find that really strange. I understand that everyone has their own opinion but movie world has added green lantern and justice league (both decent rides), wet n wild has added constrictor (a great waterslide) and sea world is building seal harbour and the water coaster. If I lived up that way the decision to buy a VIP pass would be easy I forgot about Arkham asylum too!
