  1. Yay! In fact, double yay - for both of those things you mentioned above!
  2. ^ Nice design work! And I like the idea of a proper card. I remember years ago owning a yearly pass to Wonderland which came in the form of this style of plastic card. It was around the time Space Probe 7 opened and had a neat graphic of the ride on the card. Made me like it more!
  3. No I specifically remember it being in the news. Wasn't a myth I don't get it. What can you do to make it flip apart from not braking?
  4. That's a good question. Because I remember hearing about someone that died on one of these things in Shoal Bay or somewhere. It was many years ago but it was a big deal. I'd be sitting on the brakes for sure 'cause I have it in my mind that these things can kill you
  5. The Fast Track system looks well set up. I kinda like the design/colours. Do we think it is likely to be popular? People hate queuing but most are also very cheap - as can be seen from all the 'value' complaints on the theme park facebook sites (despite the VIP passes being VERY good value)
  6. Good question. The first raft down with all the big blokes in it appeared to be spending too long in the funnel. At the point where it would normally head towards the funnel opening, it instead seemed to go backwards. If the rafts are despatched based on timing, this may have been the problem
  7. I agree - the Neverending Story/Mystery River rapids ride is truly hideous! There's just something about Movie Park Germany that is a massive fail all around
  8. Reminds me a bit of Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges at Islands of Adventure. It's truly the best, most laugh-out-loud and most drenching rapids ride I have ever been on
  9. As much as I'd love to see a Looney Tunes rapids ride (and I think it would be a big success) - would it be feasible inside a building? Are there any indoor rapids rides? Don't rapids rides need a continuous gradient? Regardless, it would certainly make sense that it continues to be a type of dark ride. The building is there and it is massive. Given the problems MW has with noise issues and residents, dark rides are a perfect fit for the park as they completely avoid these issues.
  10. I'm hoping the building does NOT get demolished. This would leave an opportunity for another excellent dark ride. And going by Warner Village's record, they do seem to prefer to keep existing buildings and re-use where possible
  11. A new ride layout for Justice League taken from Sally's website. Kinda designed in park map style...
  12. I'd be very happy if Sea World's ends up being anything like that ^. Here is a full POV of the ride. It takes a while to get going, but once it does it's pretty good!
  13. Where is the advertising? No hint of it on the website. So weird
  14. This thread really needs to be split!
  15. Fair enough. Although I've heard gun noises on other Sally rides and it seems ok, though the volume was not overly loud. Anyhoo, I've attached a NEW video from Sally showcasing Justice League. The main city scene seems to be functioning really well now. All of the animatronics seem to be moving. Even the Starro spore attacking the dude who always looked stationary now does a cool wiggle/vibration. And is it my imagination or have the screens been improved in terms of clarity and detail? Anyway, it's all looking (and sounding) really great.
  16. Ok so this video that someone has posted on youtube is really poorly filmed, takes ages to get going, and only shows part of the ride. However, it does indeed to seem to demonstrate that many of the timing issues have been fixed, as others have alluded to. I'm particularly impressed by the audio now. Both the queue line audio and the ambient audio within the ride itself appear to be much louder and properly synched with the action. Also, I notice the Batman narration throughout the ride seems to be timed pretty well now and is actually audible. The only thing I think is missing is sound effects for the guns. A shooting or zapping noise would have added to the ride atmosphere.
  17. Thanks joz. That video makes a strong and very relevant point
  18. Gary86: Thanks for the video! That was great. Feel free to make more contributions like this!
  19. Glad to hear that improvements are still being made to this ride. Hopefully the addition of gun vibration on the screens will help to incorporate them better with the live action. I'm just trying to understand why this issue has suddenly been fixed though? Does anyone know if there is still a Sally rep working on it? Or would the in-house maintenance team have been responsible?
  20. Yeah - at the very least it needs a paint job. Pretty sure it will just be a temporary measure for now. And speaking of the castle - I was looking at an old ad for Sea World (to try and spot one of the flyovers) and the castle actually used to be completely hollow and open in the middle. It looked like some sort of small adventure playground with a ball pit for kids
  21. Aaah yes, I think that was the extension that I've queried before. I think it might have been built specifically for Bermuda, as I don't think it was there for Lassiter's
  22. Thanks for those great photos joz - best yet. I really like the fact we can see partly inside the show building. I was just wondering though - in the photo where you mention it was the location where the big head used to be that riders travelled through - I'm assuming this was previously an enclosed extension to the building that has now been demolished? Is that correct?
  23. Yeah I actually think that's a bit disappointing. I remember as a kid I used to enjoy the relaxing meander as you flowed along the channel past the lake etc.
