I envy all those going. It just happens to be a week before my birthday... AND, John Course (DJ from Ministry of Sound) is going to be there! Wish I could go. Anyone able to take photos, I understand if you've got better things to do though.

Looks good! Do we get a download link? *Looks Hopeful*

The logo above the entrance is a billboard, you can pick an image to display or use multiple images to give a slide show effect. These are included in the Wild expansion or, if you have Soaked, you should be able to get a patch for it which includes them. The loud speakers come with one of the expansions too...
-
I haven't watched the video, but I'm guessing that you're talking about the steam, smoke and fire particle effects. These come with the Soaked Expansion. As for the supports, I'm not to sure, but maybe a scenery pack?

Yeah, I bought Mario Kart 64 yesterday too! I haven't got the news channel just yet, I turned my computer off last night, so my USB Connector was out. Does anyone have more than one classic controller? I don't, but fortunately I kept my GC Controller, which serves a similar purpose. I'm waiting for Diddy Kong Racing and a few other games, hopefully they see the light of day despite licensing issues...

I came across those a while back... not sure how, maybe somewhere else on these forums... Anyway, the ripsaw simulator is great! The submission one is pretty good too. But, for some extremely frustrating reason, I can't get the Nemesis one to work... Any ideas why?

Great pics! I went a few days ago... Does everyone who's been to both parks agree that this beats WnW by heaps? (Well, maybe not the queues...). I don't know if this happened to anyone else, but I somehow managed to flip on to my back in the tentacles and couldn't get back over until I came out. I don't think many people noticed, but surely the loud yelp of "Holy *%$!" told them something... No, haven't gotten stuck, I guess that's as close as we came. It's a shame they don't have the electronic display at the end, but the ride itself DEFINITELY makes up for it!

Woops. I just like my food warm I guess. The lines at the Bite Me Cafe were huge, what kind of food do they sell there? (We didn't bother to look).

Mick Doohan Motocoaster construction discussion

It's semi-official isn't it? Didn't they say it was from Intamin themselves? (Or I could be mistaken). Will this be a world first? There's already other motorbike coasters, but maybe this could be the first inverting one. We can dream! -
Thanks for all the positive reviews! In the picture of WO, does anyone else think the kid in the blue on the left would be under the height restrictions, or is it just me? The same goes for some of these pics:

No, they're all either one or two person slides. Attached a few pics. I'll add lots more later, ImageShack is playing up EDIT: That's all for now, might add some more tomorrow. Enjoy! (Hopefully)...

Well today, I was lucky enough to get a chance to visit WWW. Let me just say, it was above all expectations... well, I guess the lines could've been shorter. I did take some photos, might add a few later, but at the moment they're all too large to upload. I apologise if people find my TR to be either too long or too short. I seem to have a habit of wasting time pointlessly elaborating! My friend's sister dropped us there at 10:25 QLD Time and we were hoping to get in early before the lines built up. Sadly, the park opened at 10am instead even though the website clearly states the Opening Hours to be "10:30am - 4:30pm". I'm assuming QLD holidays are finished, but I could be wrong. Anyway, we spent a while trying to find a note exchange machine for the lockers, and then I realised there was one right next to me. After about 10 minutes of trying to create a funky PIN code, we gave up and used my friend's D.O.B. like instructed. Obviously you can't make certain combinations due to only having twelve months in a year, but hey, we can still try right? Ok, I guess I better start talking about the actual rides... The first thing we did was STHC. Waited about 30 minutes, but it was worth it and the lines got longer throughout the day. The first drop was great, and because the rafts were made to accommodate larger people than myself, I was sliding back and forth a fair bit. Sat at the front too! The uphill acceleration is better than it looks, though I would've liked just a bit more airtime over the small hills. After that, we ran straight for The Rip. I'd say we waited about the same amount of time for it. I like the signs better than WNW's. Especially the one at the top of The Rip... "Sucked In". We made it to the top of the stairs, and were presently surprised when the operator asked for two people. Ended up with a couple in there late teens who weren't overly pleased, but I guess they figured the more the merrier. The drop completely takes you by surprise! Unlike WnW's Tornado, it's completely dark inside the tunnel and you don't see the drop until you're already flying down it. Unfortunately, that was probably the best part of the ride... We did BRO next, the line moves faster than expected due to the nature of the ride. Before we knew it we were at the top. My friend and I decided to go for the lanes in the middle, and we were not disappointed! If there are any waterslides in the world that could be almost called 'Intense' I think that the BRO would pass as one. (Well only the middle lanes actually as we found out later). The tubes are so skinny, and you fly around the bends. Keep your elbows in too if you don't enjoy pain. Having almost finished all of the large rides, we headed over to the Temple of Huey. The lines weren't too bad. You wait at the bottom for tubes like on Terror Canyon, but the line on the stairs is a bit longer. If you don't mind using a single person tube, you can usually skip most of the line. Everyone was lining up for the purple slide, or 'Broken Heads' as they call it. No line at all for the other two. Naturally, we had to try the one with the longest line... It was a decent ride, a lot faster than Terror Canyon, but shorter. One of the things I think made the ride decent, was the fact that every five minutes or so, the Cyclone roared past. I don't think people could resist stopping to watch it. Funny to watch people's heads bounce from side to side coming round the helix too. We took a break for lunch, the food is overpriced as you'd expect. We paid $8.95 for a Chicken Caesar Wrap, and they didn't heat it up either. Next ride on the agenda, of course was the only one left. The Green Room had a fairly long line, but nowhere near as long as STHC, which reached over the hour mark later in the day. I've been on both the Tornadoes now, and my money is definitely on WWW's version. The helix is longer and darker, I had no idea when the drop was coming. Backwards for me! It seems a lot bigger and steeper too. The raft lifts definitely make the experience more enjoyable. This is getting long, so I'll try to wrap it up soon. The wave pool is significantly smaller than WnW's, but tubes are free although hard to come by. More fun though IMO, the waves can supposedly knock you off your feet. The Nickelodeon play area wasn't really anything special, just larger. We did enjoy tipping overflowing buckets of water on people passing below though! Anyway, a great day, definitely worth the money. Get up there in the off-peak season if you can though. Sorry about the length, I get carried away I guess. Hope this isn't too taxing on the eyes, and I apologise for any mistakes, we're all human.

So can anyone guarantee what the Opening Hours of WWW are for me? Website says 10:30, but does it open early because of holidays?
-
^^ Only a broncos fan would think of something crazy like that while reading Harry Potter! Could work, would definitely make an interesting ride, no idea how they'd do the slide kinda thing... What if people decide to chicken out?
-
I'll be there on Tuesday... (Well unless some freak accident occurrs... Eg. Little Sister...). I'm going with a friend of mine and his older sister. Not sure what time we'll get there at... Hoping for 9-10ish... Oh, and sorry for my grammar/spelling. Very tired tonight... Um, yeah, STHC should be good, I hope... That's probably what I'm looking forward to the most. Maybe that and the Rip.

Apparently Spinball Whizzer isn't all it's said to be. While I'd like to see one of those, I'd much rather have one like this! A bit more expensive, but it'd definitely be worth it!
-
Well I guess my idea of a CBD is a bit different, but you get the idea...
-
South Tweed Heads Industrial CBD. I'm pretty sure I've seen a sign for it on the way to Harvey Norman on the same road...
-
Yeah, if it's a good ride, I don't care how common they are. I'll be happy with anything I guess. A new ride is a good ride IMO.
-
^That's what they told me too, but apparently they brought them back. He might be talking about the fact that he can't disclose the names of people who work there. I think I emailed PR at Movie World once and I was told that they weren't allowed to disclose that information. *shrugs*

I agree with most of your points there. The main reason I think Australia needs a B&M is simply the capacity! 4 seats across! Who needs two trains when you've got the same amount of seats in one. (Okay, so there's other reasons why 2 trains are better but still). To me, Vekoma have always come up with the new and interesting concepts. Tilt Coaster, Thrill Lift, GIB & the Roller Soaker. Sure, most of their older models are rough, but I don't see that as a real problem. (Well maybe if my ears are bleeding after only one ride). Don't get me wrong, Intamin have some great ones too. I'd love to see either of them get put it. But as far as I'm really concerned, as long as we get a custom coaster and not just a clone, I'll be happy.

Just a side note, DW are now selling off-peak annual passes for $145. They call them 'Max Action Saver' passes. I'm thinking about going up to WWW with a friend for the day. Neither of us have an annual pass, I have the money for one, but he doesn't. Is it worth a) Buying a World Pass, b] Buying myself an annual pass but not my friend, or c) Just spending the entire day at WWW?
-
Yeah, the funnel's crapping out people every few seconds even with the Whirly Wheels! If they can keep the speed up with the cloverleafs you'd hardly be waiting more than 10 mins. The one thing I liked about the Whirly Wheels was that you can roll them along the path, easier than carrying, and quicker too... just don't slip over! EDIT: According to my friend who's uncle works at WNW, they are thinking about adding a raft lift similar to the one on WWW's Tornado. I'm not sure whether it's true or not, he said he's uncle's name is Mario and he works in Admin somewhere. Can anyone confirm any of this?

Maybe they could theme a ride around BB... Absolutely no idea how they could do it, but if anyone can be bothered doing it for me, thanks! Yeah, someone mentioned a pandora's box. I've got a feeling it was Adam in the topic 'Wipeout is Aging' or something like that. I'd love to see one, but what could they theme it to?
-
Mind you, if it's a busy day, sometimes you'll be waiting ages for a tube. Some people *cough* mum *cough* spend their whole day there. Can you use hired tubes in the lazy river anyway?
