AiRush Vertical Wind Tunnel/Skydiving Simulator

It's excellent to see the local attraction lineup fill up more. Surfers is a playground -- we need as many options as we can get. -
I thought Wet'n'Wild were resurfacing to make things easier on bare feet (which, let's face it, is going to be most people). How good the shade/seating/surfacing is was indeed one of the biggest impressions Whitewater World made on my first visit there (apart from the joy of having a shiny new park).

It's bad enough that parks close at 5 except for a rare night event. Don't cut down on daylight hours too!!
-
Perhaps an admin can merge this with the old thread?

Good times! And amidst all this, that Australian guy on TPR talks about MW getting a B&M.
-
I wonder if he's a member of these forums. Do you guys know if there is anyone from Byron Bay here?
-
Don't say one day, that day will never come! - Classic Dreamworld Ad I'm really not holding my breath that this track is bound for Australia. We'll get a good new coaster soon no doubt and Movie World is due but it won't be a B&M... hopefully I'm proved wrong.

And unlike Buccaneer Bay, adults can actually go down the slides on it! They're quite fun too if prone to flushing your nose out with spray! Definitely more impressive in scale too.

Definitely go to WWW. You've done everything there is to do at WnW and it's worth going for the following: The B.R.O. : A much more fun version of Super 8 Aqua Racer. The beginning where you dive into the tentacles is really fun and you can get some decent airtime if you lift the board up slightly over the humps. Hydrocoaster: Insanely fun. You go up and down but never seem to lose speed. The most unique water slide type I've been on. Can break down a bit though. The bowl slides are also fun though I wish one was a body slide. Cave of Waves is a really nicely themed wave pool but can be pretty brutal. I wish the cave was an actual undercover area as opposed to a mural though. All the slides are good and there's even a Tornado equivalent so you can get your fix on that. I also like the fact that there's a reasonable sense of theme. Sounds funny when it's DW we're talking about here but it's true.

^ Already been mentioned: And you don't need to quote the first post. Quotes that size are unneeded anyway, just use what's relevant to your post like I've done.

No park is perfect and everything goes down sometimes.

At Six Flags America in August last year, there were a couple of Subways there too. Crap park though, don't bother. Still better than Dreamworld though
-
Yeah I did it 20 times the day I went (check out my sig, heh). Love it to death & it's good to hear it's back & running. Will pay it a visit over the next few days weather permitting.

Is Dreamworld's Q4U queue jumping?
Gold Coaster replied to Parkz News's topic in Latest News & Updates
Hope they introduce these to Screamworld. Wait times at those events is a big turn-off for me which is why I never go anymore. Much as I love our parks at night, it just isn't worth it -
20 minutes is great though. Much better than what you'd expect at a Screamworld. \
-
And I could just about see that happening particularly since you say it isn't that much cost. When I was at Six Flags Great Adventure in August for the second day visit, they had the Army or Marines there (forget which it was, think it was the Marines) doing a big recruitment drive under the guise of physical challenges like doing as many chin-ups as possible. Maybe that'll be the next leaf out of Six Flags' book! Though perhaps the whole Defence Force aspect is a bit TOO real life even for "Dream"world.

Which ride should DW get next in Ocean Parade?
Gold Coaster replied to Gazza's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Haha nah more likely they'd put in a Zipper -

I know this is a joke thread but here is my take. If we could get a go kart circuit like the ones at Mt Olympus in Wisconsin Dells with elevated spiralling track, tunnels etc that'd be brilliant. Except they'd probably take away the vintage cars (knowing how they don't like keeping original attractions that much!) and place them on that very track only bothering to add some barricades. Paintballing would be good in the bush area if they had some interesting obstacles/buildings etc to use for cover. Blerghh. I'm just really "meh" about Dreamworld. It's a shame that a park that held so much wonder for us in our youth has dwindled to this state of affairs... -
- MW - WWW - SW - WNW - DW - LPM The reason for MW being at the top is obvious. WWW more than SW because there ARE more fun things to do despite no coasters. I prefer it to WNW because it's easy to get around, some theming attempts and there's a pretty nice variety. But then, it felt very new last time I was there and I haven't been to WNW since Surfrider and the new body slides went in. So things have changed a fair bit. I suspect I would prefer WNW more now. DW near the bottom because there's only a few good rides and it's a shadow of its former self. LPM at the very bottom because of its size and most of its lineup being pretty meh. Haven't been to Aussie World, Adventure World, Adventure Park, Jamberoo or Luna Park Sydney though. While I hear LPS is bad from most people, it would be great to check it out for the Coney Island funhouse and to tick it off the list.

I almost went there! Glad I didn't waste my time, Seaworld is a bit boring without this ride.
-
Well, Wet'n'Wild and Whitewater World are water parks so perhaps that should have been a seperate poll & more insightful... I would by the way vote MW over DW but WWW over WNW. I'm just sick of the waterparks being referred to as theme parks. Guess we are that short on theme parks that it's probably just for marketability's sake to say we have 5.

... or Broker, for all you GTA IV fans...
-
Well, if we can't have a Wonder Wheel why not the park next door? Astroland's great but hopefully they'd recreate some of the historical stuff too (not just the coaster). Forget "Hollywood on the Gold Coast"... Brooklyn on the Gold Coast! West AND East Coast flavours for us.
-
^ Exactly... You're better off rounding up your own real-life friends.

At least it's something extra for rainy weather. Does anyone know how much these things cost to install? Maybe it'll have some cool theming... Maybe Kevin Rudd's Corps Of Might
