  1. WOODIE! WOODIE! WOODIE! Think about it... could be colonial themed and would be great right next to Sydney Harbour... Having never been to LPS though, I'm not sure if they'd have the room. Maybe just a compact footprint perhaps.
  2. ^ Mmm, it was certainly heavy on the Cyclone that particular ride. We were on the lift hill so we were committed I don't think they would have let us 'go out and play' had it started before us leaving the station.

    RCT3 Help!

Mmm. I was trying to have a road come up from an unseen highway, that's all. Nevermind... thanks.
  4. I have been on Cyclone when it's raining and THAT was bad - not sure if it runs during rain as it began to when the ride had already started. The funny thing was, my German friend and I had queued up to do it only because Whitewater World was about to launch so we wanted to experience diving around all the slides and having a peek at that park. It was so painful that we had our eyes squeezed shut most of the time until we got back to the station. So we really didn't see anything Best ride in dodgy weather hands down goes to riding the woodie 'Ravine Flyer II' in the USA. 90 degree turns, superb airtime, coaster bridges across the road etc... in pouring rain, thunder and lightning... and the ops just kept the coaster going Good times! And for some weird reason, you stopped feeling the pain.

    RCT3 Help!

In RCT3, can you turn off surfaces bleeding out beyond the park boundaries? Find that so annoying and often ugly.
  6. ^ In terms of a new flat ride, a Top Scan'd be what I'd go for too. My first was Samurai at Thorpe Park last year followed by Shockwave at Canada's Wonderland. This ride provides a thrilling and highly enjoyable experience without being TOO intense IMHO. Samurai was noteable also for my first sighting of (while queuing) chavs who smoked and spat in line! Beautiful.
  7. Please post some pics for those of us without NL
  8. Yeah I meant doing it in RCT3. I don't have NL. Bought it but lost the files/my details.
  9. I might have a go at doing one too. I'm going to build a RCT3 park but it would be good to do a coaster project on the side.
  10. Aaand I too got a 3 Park Mega Pass for Christmas but it's good because I have some friends who I can get onto this one. My mum wants to go to some parks too so this is a good way of getting her into the coaster bug
  11. Mmm, it's going to be great once this gets rolling. I'm really happy with the standard of our water parks, they stack up quite well with overseas ones. And we have a great climate, so upgrading them are always going to be good investments.
  12. Hey, wow, thank you, didn't know that had ever happened. Great moment:
  13. No I know that wasn't the topic but it was me steering the discussion back onto something more relevant. While it might be quite set in stone, this is a case of people saying what THEY want next like you just did...
  14. No. Returning to the topic... What do you think DL/DCA should add next?
  15. Yeah, I agree. Don't think it's hard at all to work out, as Alex said, you just need to pay a bit more attention... I think a revamp of Looney Tunes River Ride or WWF at some point to reach a similar level of excellence should be on the agenda.
  16. ^^^^^: I knew the ears are going but not about Maliboomer being replaced - what with?
  17. Okay, out of that list, let's rank them. I'd put Haunted Mansion at the top of the list of the ones I'd love to get to go on right this very second though 1/ Indiana Jones Adventure ... Epic, epic ride. Amazing theming down to the finest of details, random route, a more coasterish adventure version of the Haunted Mansion. Amazing FX too. 2/ Tower of Terror - Haven't had the chance to do the Florida version but this has great theming, a drop sequence that never gets old and a nice spooky atmosphere... 3/ California Screamin' - From the fun of the lakeside launch, it's quite a fun layout amid the atmosphere of the pier. Love the Mickey ears loop too, great design decision... may not be that intense but pure Disney magic. 4/ Splash Mountain - The king of the flume rides with a great story, gets you soaked and wonderful theming. Truly feels like you're in a fantasy world and love the music. 5/ Big Thunder Mountain -- a lot of fun but not overly thrilling. Has that definite Disney magic though. 6/ Grizzly River Run - Probably the best rapids I've done. Gets you really wet and it's always fun being held in suspense to see if that spout is going to get you towards the end. 7/ Space Mountain - I actually found this quite disappointing the first time, I'd built it up in my head over the years after chickening out on my first visit to DL as a 11-year-old. On my last visit I found it reasonable but middle-of-the-road as a thrill ride. Over very quickly too. 8/ Maliboomer - Yuck. Obnoxious shields in front of your seat and while it might fit the boardwalk carnival theme to a reasonable degree, I've done too many of these rides to want one at DCA too. They should replace it with something unique even if it's still something simple.
  18. LOL, no. Wasn't thinking that -- but I'm imploring Dreamworld to work on something that represents true thrills, true boundary-pushing for the Australian thrill market & even if it has compact footprints/more economic dimensions still provides a really great ride for the money that CAN be realistically allocated. But if you had the rolling eyes in your post for that guy on TPR who keeps insisting the B&M is going to an Australian park, haha yeah, he would no doubt think DW is the lucky park now that house is gone, haha
  19. It's Time To Go... Big Brother House. Oh well, good, hopefully they will now use that area of the park for a decent attraction -- non-upcharge and ideally a coaster Knock our socks off Dreamworld!!! Give us something that shows you're still a theme park to be reckoned with after all.
  20. It changes from season-to-season. I've noticed WVTP and Dreamworld both being consistently quite good on my visits there with no big complaints. Some holiday periods have seen one slightly better than the other but not majorly so. We have what we have. I'm only turned off from visiting DW because of a lack of any recent additions that hold any interest for me. Motocoaster is fun only for the first half so good for only an occasional joy; still haven't done Flowrider and I'd like to try it sometime but it's not a major drawcard. The V8 simulator...well, I'm not crazy about track racing and the driving games I play are sandbox ones like Midnight Club Los Angeles. As much as I enjoy the Giant Drop, Claw and Wipeout, I've done them many times before. Let's look at MW then. Yeah, I've done everything there except the new Dodgems (and of course the new kiddie rides) but they're more fleshed out experiences. Superman Escape is pretty but never gets old. Same with everything. And yeah, I don't feel the need to do the spaceshot everytime and the wait for that and Scooby is ridiculous. But if I had the choice between MW and DW, I'd go for the former because the park still attends to the small details more than DW. I never use theme park toilets anyway as I don't eat or drink overly so can't comment on the toilet paper but that IS slack but I just feel I've always received a better experience from a Village day than a MLT one. It's like having a steak in an expensive restaurant or one at Hogs Breath; both meals might sustain your hunger but not in the same league... Everywhere is in a state of flux because of the economy and if I was someone paying for each visit rather than an annual pass, I would still go for MW anyday. I don't HATE DW, but it's lost its classic charm and becoming less of a theme park with every upcharge addition. I anticipate things turning around and I still appreciate the good things it has but the way things are at the moment, I think it's very natural people favour MW. Oh and we have a right to talk about the negatives in this thread because it's a discussion forum & people can cover the topic as they like.
  21. ^ Didn't you see that Six Flags Great Australia has been registered and domain purchased? Tcoh! Catch up guys!! You're all so BEHIND. www.sixflagsgreataustralia.com I'm just annoyed that it's going to Melbourne as Sydney would have been so much closer!
  22. Why don't you post a video of Superman Escape so far? ... There must be something you can show us anyway.
  23. I wish they sold bottled pool water. Now that would be a keepsake!!
  24. Wish they'd bulldoze it and use some of that area for a woodie. But why add a ride when you can fleece some more money out of people, eh guys & girls?
