Dreamworld is actively working on raising their pass pricepoint to $150 too. Village had compounded price rises for multiple years, taking the pricing to a level some considered too high for their offering - especially since their offering has degraded significantly over the same time period. If they were selling enough passes at the $250 headline, they wouldn't have gone on sale. A $180 price point is both competitive, while maintaining the 'premium' pricepoint above Dreamworld which is quickly catching up. As i've said for years, people need to vote with their wallets - and the very fact that the company is reducing their prices and appears to be making those reductions permanent demonstrates that those votes have been counted.

VRTP Ticketing Update Late 2025

https://parkz.com.au/forums/topic/36312-vrtp-ticketing-update-late-2025/?do=findComment&comment=253163

Competition between the parks is healthy, but this feels less like competition and more like a group sprint to the bottom. You don’t park a train in the station long term. A station is for loading and unloading humans, not for train storage. That’s what the maintenance bay is for. It keeps the running wheels happy instead of slowly squashing them into sad little pancakes. If you are looking at selling the ride and if the maintenance bay only fits one train, the other doesn’t just sit in the station. It goes into storage.

Jungle Rush Coaster

https://parkz.com.au/forums/topic/14836-jungle-rush-coaster/?do=findComment&comment=253140

JR keeps proving why this is the direction many parks are heading with dark immersive attractions. It relies on only a handful of moving elements, for maintenance. Now picture fully enclosed dark ride some people are demanding. You would multiply the mechanical complexity, staffing demands, and maintenance load, all for no advantage over JR. Instead of enhancing the experience, you risk creating a maintenance-heavy headache that adds cost and complication. DW shouldn’t go backwards with a dated, traditional dark ride concepts.

Motocoaster Permanent Closure

https://parkz.com.au/forums/topic/36375-motocoaster-permanent-closure/?do=findComment&comment=253138

i mean... The audio in the switchback room was nice and loud and was playing in sync with no drop outs on every ride-through. Some of the other sound effects around the ride that hadn’t been working for a while (such as the bats in the tunnel and the eerie soundtrack in the gem room) were all playing again and sounded fantastic! The gems in the switchback room were rising and falling again and there was absolutely no jolt from the turntable. Unfortunately, the water feature in the switchback room still wasn’t working, but I’m confident that’ll be addressed at some point soon. At least it’s clear the park is making an effort to maintain show quality with the fixes they have carried out.

Motocoaster Permanent Closure

https://parkz.com.au/forums/topic/36375-motocoaster-permanent-closure/?do=findComment&comment=253133

Popped into the park today and noticed that the train has now been taken off the track. There’s nothing unusual about a park relocating a ride to make space for a new one, and they could just as easily have removed the Vintage Cars entirely from the park. The real problem was what they considered acceptable for the Vintage Cars compared to what the attraction used to be.
