  1. There’s currently a guy dressed up as the grim reaper out the front of Movie World with a sign reading “They ignore safety, I will wait!” No idea if this is a disgruntled staff member or what.
  2. For a lack a lack of a better place to post this.. VTP have changed their sippers - whilst the new designs look decent enough, they are about 30% smaller in size
  3. There hasn’t yet been any offical details revealed about what happened, but I’ve been seeing posts and Ive received images of fire fighters being called to Movie World this afternoon to deal with a fire at the front right corner of Main Street late this afternoon. Not sure if it’s was BOH or within the Stars Terrace, but fire fighters were in this corner of the park. The Stars Terrace, Roxy Theatre and surrounding stores were evacuated and this area of the park was blocked off to guests.
  4. Just received an email and VTP has added some "perks" for Premium Annual Passholders. Those being: 20% off dining 20% off merch Priority line entry at front gates Priority line entry to Spy Chase and One Dolphin performances 20% off fast passes for Wet n Wild These are available until the end of January Credit to VTP, they do cop a lot of heat with the way things are being run currently (including from me - don't get me started on them closing 80% of the park at 5pm on their "extended operating times" at WnW), but this is a good addition. I'd like to see some of it retained ongoing - such as priority entry to the park and shows (lets be honest, annual passholders are unlikely to watch the shows on every visit, so they are not big part of your audience) and an ongoing F&B discount like that offered at Dreamworld would be welcomed.
  5. The Roxy theatres has a new film from today with “The day the earth blew up: A Looney Tunes 4-D experience” playing. Nice to see a looney tunes film back in the Roxy as I always thought they were the best ones and well suited for 4-D

  8. White Christmas 2025 tickets are now on sale! This years event is mostly the same however the WoZ precinct is open at night! Superman Escape, Flash Speed Force and Scooby are missing from the ride lineup. With all these new rides open is 3 hrs really enough time to experience everything?
  9. Movie World's first batch of attraction maintenance for 2026 has been posted:
  10. I Just learned that Warner Bros. Movie World for The First Time since they've existed, has Change their Logo.
  11. Movie World has just put up a post on their Socials teasing 3 new upcoming announcements with the taglines: * Serving Soon * Spooking Soon *New Action soon first two are pretty obvious as to what those will be announcing if you’ve been following rumours but the third is a complete mystery as of now. Curious to see what people think it is.
  12. The Gold Coast Bulletin has shared an article that refers to the reopening of Scooby-Doo and is apparently preparing to unveil a new ride: https://bit.ly/4nPiylM
  13. Another way Dreamworld is crushing the competition: Ride inclusivity Daughter has a brace from a wrist injury, Seaworld was a blanket no for everything, even gentle rides. I am assuming its the same at Movieworld. Dreamworld uses common sense and only restricts certain rides due to intensity and/or plausibility of riding. The nurse at Dreamworld provided my daughter with a ride access pass that allows her to ride everything except ST, Giant Drop and Dodgems. Village need to step it up.
  14. I know the Wizard of Oz is already in WBMW, but this got me wondering what it would be like if Village Roadshow theme parks negotiated a deal with Universal and Nintendo, and they added Super Nintendo World based off the Hollywood version due to it’s size & budget with Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, and the games via the power bands to Warner Bros Movie World instead of the Wizard of Oz?
  15. Continuing conversation from this reply i've put down my current thoughts on a WB Kids refresh. What WB Kids needs is to be gutted and refreshed. My ideal first plan would reclaim the other half of the old LTRR soundstage from maintenance - maintenance might need to relocate entirely if they've outgrown their own space. Put in a new kids area into the soundstage building with multiple attractions similar to Mermaid lagoon at disneysea, or USJ's Sesame Street Fun World. It doesn't need to be immersive, just an indoor area out of the sun with some rides and activities for the little kids to blow off some energy. The reason this is the first plan is it provides the opportunity to refresh the rest of the land without dropping the kids offering in the park. Once this is open, move to refreshing the rest of the land: Remove speedy taxis. It serves no purpose with the introduction of JDS Find a new home for the parents room that doesn't occupy prime attraction space and demolish Taz' Rest Stop along with the original Marvin facade to make space for new attractions. You could potentially provide parent's room facilities as part of the new indoor stage space if you planned for it. Consider the longevity of both Sam Train and Tweety Cages and perhaps remove them in place of new attractions If this whole corner of the kids area can be cleared, then also consider (controversial I know) removing the giant tree. It's a gorgeous old tree and it's been there for a long time, but it occupies prime park real estate and is a major blocker to expansion If the tree comes out, tweety, sam train, taz and the old marvin area are removed, you're left with a huge plot of land you can close all at once, which allows greenfield planning for a new install, with the added benefit you can actually run power to the character stage and bury the cables rather than flying them through the trees suspended on wooden poles. Update JDS to bring it current to today's park lineup (remove arkham, add WOZ, for example - and does it have DCR?) Turn the JDS arcade (is that still there with the new kids arcade?) into a JDS themed gift shop to bring more opportunity for merchandising into the land instead of the laneway entrance most people walk straight past. Reopen the restaurant with a new offering and re-establish a covered (umbrellas) seating area for parents to chill while the kids run their energy out. Probably a bit much especially for BGH's current attitude toward the park, but that's what i'd love to see. WB Kids currently offers a disjointed experience. There are 'rides for babies' plus road runner. So the slightly older kids that have outgrown the 'baby rides' but haven't graduated to hypercoasters don't have a lot of middle ground, so there's an opportunity with this level of expansion to provide some 'middle of the road' attractions - a lot like what Sea World offers in their nickelodeon area.
  16. Recently Movie World has been doing Throwback Thursday's and Flashback Friday's. It does seem strange that they have only been doing this for the past two weeks after nearly completing construction on the new float shed. I wonder if MW is conducting early market research through using these posts to find which ride has the largest fanbase for if they bring it back... unless I'm overthinking but it is fun to speculate.
  17. Movie World are currently constructing a new building behind HSD and is visible when within Kids WB. I’d imagine this would be for BOH storage or maintenance. Photos by @Ogre

  21. Ok, we have run into an issue 🤦‍♂️. We can only ask 3 questions per poll. So I don't fill the forum board with 4 polls at once, every day I will post 3 categories.
  22. I would suggest something, but to be honest, I don't know what flat rides exist that would go well in that space, that Dreamworld hasn't already got. Would the public accept Movie World installing a frisbee/gyro swing or any other flat rides that another park close by has? I guess it doesn't have to be a flat ride, but it is an area that they do sorely lack in, and is an easy crowd pleaser. They might just replace the attraction with themed seating anyway.
