There's so many different aspects to look at with Dreamworld (as is it with every park I guess), though I'd be tempted to go something like this: Refresh everything that needs it. Give the entrance plaza a new coat of paint, replace the film in the Imax theatre (I realise there is a new film in there, but what I mean is putting in a film too act as an attraction, not as a pacifier). While pepping up the rides, perhaps themeing could be improved/ restored (GD, ToT and Cyclone particularly). Cyclone also should have its queue redesigned, and the brakes reprogrammed in an attempt to increase capacity. If this fails to increase capacity, then the park should buy another train. Put something in the old Country Jamboree show building. Either Spongebob 3D or a family attraction like a well themed vekoma crazy house would fit the bill quite nicely IMHO. Not only would its hourly capacity of 864 be of great use, it would also appeal to families, and without breaking the bank. I'd also vote to see Blue Lagoon completely replaced, and perhaps extended over the train tracks (put the train through a tunnel if you have too). As far as new thrills go, I reckon something along the along the lines of Kumba at BGT. IE a B&M sitdown (floorless?) with fairly minimalist themeing, but with nice surroundings and a few tunnels.

Joz, a lot of those things sound really great. Look after what they've already got, like joz said, a few paint jobs here and there, maybe the odd new feature or two, perhaps improving some of the queue lines/themeing could be in order. Nothing can be done with the Cyclones queue, so its probably best to just let that one go, but I think they may have learnt from that one. Look for other little attractions they could implement like they have recently (eg. Farmyard Friends, Tomb Raider), and perhaps add another show or two just for the Christmas Holidays.

Hey Rabid, with what you said "they already know what they're buying they just wanna get the right one". I assume this means you know what they're buying and would you be able to give me a hint at all. I apologise if this has already been asked or discussed in another forum - sorry guys! Thanx

Yeah, when one of the engineers went overseas to check out which model of gyro swing Dreamworld should purchase, he also had a browse at what coaster Dreamworld should look into. I had a bit of a guess game with him and a)It's not vekoma at this point in time b)it's not an intamin rocket coaster (damn) and c)there's a very, very slim chance it's going to be any sort of B&M ride. But there have been some confirmations into what is giong to be installed into the park over the next few financial years.

This was posted by Thunder001 over at the AAF forums...

Look for a new coaster to be put into the Thunderbolt area within the next couple of years. The CEO of DW stated on a radio interview that they are still looking for a new coaster to replace the bolt, but a decision would hopefully be made soon. This comes only a day after the park said that they would be spending approx $250 million in the coming years to improve the park. Any thoughts on what might be coming.
$250m!? Anyone else think that's an insane amount of money to be spending over such a short amount of time (3-7 years presumably - Dreamworld wouldn't know what they plan to add/improve in 7-10 years time, would they?)

Yeah i agree with u joz, put a theme in the old Country Jamboree show building as this will reduce ride times on certain rides throughout the day. A 3d nick thing would be good and would keep the theme going for nick area. They could een have a meeting point in nick land where the public meet a group of those dressed up toons who will escort them to the theatre. They need to do something to blue lagoon, i dont know what but they should get a tube ride like terror canyon. They should also upgrade the river rapid ride.

How about in the Big Brother house? Seriously I'm surprisingly stumped by that one (I know, the guy who has an opinion on everything :) ). I'm still stuck on a dark ride for the Jamboree building, but I guess there would be an ok fit there. Perhaps they could go where the shooting gallery and print shops are. Personally I'm not a big fan of those, since Print Shop is more like a Granny May's then a theme park souvenir shop, and shooting galleries are a dime a dozen.
