hopefully they leave it open at all times though

Finally, we will have another way to bypass mainstreet when the park is slammed and the parade is on.

How would that work with Flash's exit?

SE, FSF and Batwing all at the same time. I'd assume that in 2025 October/November will be the planned maintenance schedule for the precinct.

Closing 3 rides and killing one whole precinct which welcomes you to the park,

This is VRTP we are talking about, from tomorrow the whole of New Atlantis at Sea World will be closed for maintenance.

Not to mention in April/May/June the park usually loses DC Rivals, Wild West Falls and Roadrunner all comparable closures to a whole precinct.

I have never been to a theme park outside of VRTP that requires so much extensive maintenance on their rides.

New Atlantis is somewhat understandable as Trident was never planned to be such a long downtime and would have been banked on it being open.

WWF closed in May/June makes logical sense, and having that down with rivals isn’t a bad mix. At least having the two WOO coasters now minimises the gap when RR is down

let’s just hope they don’t close the WoO coasters and scooby at the same time, but when Scooby reopens it should balance out maintenance periods a lot more (thank god.)

Follow the Yellow Brick Road! The park map now shows the WoZ Precinct

So looking at this map, there appears to be no way to just 'wander' through the land - am I reading that right? There's literally two paths which are both ride queues, and then one path that connects to both ride exits to funnel people back to the emerald city?

I'm assuming they open the exit pathway up for people to enter the precinct and check things out - but how irritating is it that they've got to go all the way back to emerald city to enter the ride queue?

This can't be the final path design, can it?

Looking at this section, I'm not sure if this is the actual path layout. Why would there be a viewing area for FoTWW that’s connected to the Kansas Twister queue line? Or could this be the overflow queue? Based on what the park has been saying, I thought most of the queue was going to be housed inside the building.

My reading of the map is (just to spell it all out)

Entry (and exit) into the land

IMG_6610.thumb.jpeg.f95f69d1c9dcfa8e563afd62721a36b9.jpeg

Emerald City/Munchkin Land (the main plaza area)

You enter into the Emerald Palace (former AA queue building) which will have the lobby area before picking the queue for the coaster you choose

You exit where the AA lift hill was and join the outdoor queue for Wicked Witch

Or enter the queue for Kansas, which is roughly where the break run for AA was

IMG_6614.thumb.jpeg.c40c05442da285b504c6dd567e9499fc.jpeg

Here’s the exit for Wicked Witch

IMG_6615.thumb.jpeg.5a4a8053b483e94b8eae94c210761506.jpeg

And the exit for Kansas, which joins the exit path that Wicked Witch uses

IMG_6616.thumb.jpeg.f78b08b0259dfc3ef88c0f21742937a3.jpeg

And then there appears to be a couple of paths for lookout points or even just BOH access, but that’s about it.

They seem to have maintenance accessways marked on the map also, and that 'viewing area' just looks like a vehicle access path.

Given the sneak peaks we've seen, and the 'decision point' in the throne room where you enter FOTWW and\or Twister, it seems like both rides may have some indoor queue space, but there's still some crossover points. Depending on how long the queues are you can potentially re-join the queues for FOTWW and KT without going through the old Arkham building (circled in yellow) but if the lines are longer (as they will be at opening) I can't see those coming into play - meaning you've got to go all the way back to the throne room to enter the ride queue.

I also have NO clue how the exit lane is going to cross the KT queue line if it drags out that long - but here's what I'm thinking:

Purple - FOTWW queue

Orange - KT queue(s)

Red - Exit pathway

Yellow - Merge points where you could re-enter the queue from the exit

Black - Back of house access points for maintenance teams

I don't know if you seen the guy who made the Wizard of Oz area in Planet coaster i will post below. In other videos he talks about the trouble with the pathways and ended up rotating the whole way around Kansas twisters. My question is can you skip the preshow part and just jump on the coasters, or do you have to do the full loop each time.

Thanks. Wasn't really clear on the top down map and I wasn't trawling all the old imagery to try and figure it out, but it makes sense.

It does appear the full loop is required, though I don't know how much 'active' pre-show there is (seems more passive themed queue to me), but there are merge points I marked out in the map above where one could 'shortcut' the queue, if the queue was short enough.

In other words unlikely on debut, but in later or quieter times, you're likely able to cut back into the queue line near the station.
