Stop making shit up.  I said WWW needs its own management.

I'm not making shit up. I said 'According to you the current dreamworld bosses are incapable of running a park they have been employed to run'. Greg has been employed to run both Dreamworld and White Water World, and you have stated that he cannot run a water park. My statement is factual, and there are plenty of replies on the forum of you arguing that point that i'd love nothing more than for you to dispute this fact.

Enjoy your flight, hope you have a really LONG holiday, preferably away from a data connection.

Looking forward to seeing this and the whole of Rivertown lit up at night. Looks awesome

Looks great .

Is there any safety mechanisms in this ride despite a manual shut off one by one.

For example sensors to avoid collisions to cars or if someone slipped their seat belt and got on to track with a young person behind continuing to accelerate ?

Geez, for a ride that has always been a bit of an afterthought - even being shoved to the back of the park for the last few year - this looks incredible.  It just shows what can be done with a little bit of creative vision.

Once all that landscaping grows in, it's going to look even better than it does now - and it already looks amazing.

Dreamworld have definitely put much more love and care into the whole land than MW with Wizard of Oz - every part just looks spectacular. The details placed within each part look fantastic, even a non E-ticket like this looks amazing, and will only get better thanks to weathering and the growing greenery. Good job to Greg Yong and his team for making Rivertown so great, I can't wait to see what is next. Hopefully some enhancements are made eventually, such as retheming Motocoaster into the land and redoing the store's facade to match.

I’m hoping for a water ride in place of the motor coaster to tie the whole area in, but will understand if they do a retheme for cash wise. A wicked river/dark ride would do that area wonders

100% this. If they remain on this trajectory DW will be unbeatable in their offering.

Im sure GY has plans for moto, rocky hollow area and the rest of the vacant land that’ll be equal to or better than Rivertown… the man just needs some $$$ to get it done

I didn't actually ride MM today as the queue was constantly packed and I just know that I will need to take multiple younger family members on next year so I would rather save the pain till then. That being said:

  • From the outside the area is phenomenal, so much movement and life, water running everywhere, massive elevation changes. Compared to the old mosquito pit they shoved it into down at wildlife this is in a completely different league
  • The cars all have their little touches such as different animals and item layouts on the roof, its a really nice touch instead of cookie cutter designs. That being said, they are all the same old shade of green, a little variety and dirt effects like on JR would be appreciated. I also think the rooves look fine and fits the story Dreamworld seems to be pushing that the land is all built by Murray and Jane.
  • Seems like quite a decent length
  • The interaction with Jungle Rush and eventually the Dreamworld Express looks awesome

Overall I think this is a smash hit, unless the actual ride experience somehow ends up being terrible which I can't see how that could be

@Narrayou missed out on a great ride.  I think MM has turned out to be the star attraction of Rivertown.  You would be hard-pressed to find a better attraction of its type.

100% agree with this one. Guaranteed to be the most popular ride on the GC now!

(In terms of catering for the masses)… don’t hunt me down all you DC Rivals diehards

There are the 1 or 2 white ones as well

Look… if I could fault the ride experience in any way, it would be the motors are too loud.

not because I’m being sensitive… I feel like there’s supposed to be sound effects are you travel around, past those 3 heads, etc. and over the motor noise you can’t hear anything

Unless I’m totally wrong about the SFX… in which case, no faults 😂

still sound to be petrol driven engines with throttles. So I'm probably going to say no.

That was the intention. Originally the park was planning on getting all electric vehicles, but after they experienced the ones at Universal Singapore they opted to refurbish the existing vehicles. They had planned to buy at least more electric vehicle which would be accessible, allowing guests in wheelchairs to ride. To my knowledge this vehicle is available, but isnt used unless required by an accessible guests. It’s stored to the side of the load area and is transferred onto the turntable when required.

Given how he was basically overlooked at village, and with bikash now gone, I really wonder if Greg goes home at the end of his day with a nice smile on his face, knowing the general public is now seeing the positive effects and influence he (and half his team that ended up following him) has had since taking over the company.

Must be really satisfying to help turn around a company that was close to insolvency, have a plan for improvements (not just recovery) and start to see the positive feedback from guests following investments in things like this. It looks fantastic, when the other reality could have just been another relocation of old cars running around on a track.

It's refreshing to see some care and attention given to the setting and themed elements of a ride again, especially when it isn't a big budget thrill ride. Yeah, limited budgets, limited space are always constraints in Australia, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't at least try to deliver something that improves the overall experience. To me, it really shows intention to build zones or lands back into theme parks, something that at least makes an attempt at something cohesive instead of just plonking something down on a bit of land and calling it done.

Makes me wonder just how constrained he was working under the village shroud, when this is like the polar opposite of how things are going over there.

Seeing Greg serve drinks and food when Rivertown opened last year was refreshing too see, he and the team have definitely turned this park around and now with the theming on “just a flat ride” is second to none once again.

He was looking on with pride at King Claw yesterday and taking some photos on his phone.

he seems like a fantastic leader. Happy to jump in and help as Ash said serving in Jane’s (saw this many times), or helping ride ops in busy periods.

Reminds me of the good old village days in the early 2010's. The amount of times that I saw, or personally had Greg and his team (Michelle, who was a park supervisor at the time) jump in to help when needed.

One particularly fond memory I have is a crazy xmas period when on Wild West Falls, the ride normally didn't have a sorter and I actually suggested it as an improvement during peak to make sure boats were always full. For anyone who was a loader on West, during the peak period it was often one of the hardest positions in the park.

So, the day after I suggested this they actually came down themselves and were sorting groups for me for a few hours while running the numbers to see if it worked. Every single boat was having full rows, and it made a huge difference (I'm talking about an extra 80 - 100 people every 30 minutes). They also did the same with Batwing, as normally the second operator has to group riders after each cycle which adds about a minute per dispatch.

They even took ideas on board (single rider line at Batwing...) that was suggested by myself and many other staff. These people really care about the place, and trying to make things better for the staff and guests. They still have work to do on the actual park, but the place is in the best hands it's been in for a very long time. I have many fond memories of all of those managers (Greg, Michelle, Deb, Chantel and a few others) and they really made Movie World what it was back in the day and now Dreamworld.

Can't wait to give King Claw (and Jungle Rush) a ride when I next get up there in April.

He actually seemed to care about what was going on. He used to frequently be seen walking through the parks at different times of the day, chatting to different people. Seemed like if he wanted to know something, he would just walk out his office and look for himself. In the event of any incidents, he was out there following what was going on, seeing if there was anything he could do but staying out of the way of people trained to respond and letting them get on with it, then debriefing in his office afterwards, making sure everyone who attended was ok.

I could be wrong but I don't believe this has come to fruition, the turntable at load is there but I have never seen an accessible vehicle on the tracks (or next to it).
