The magic of 3.

Spinning coaster, Spinning coaster, Spinning coaster.

A man can dream.

How difficult would it be to change the trains to a spinning coaster?

I think they should just tear Moto, GD down and just start over... That area aroud motocoaster and the GD is awful. Not only for appeal but in summer it is a dread to walk in... Fine maybe keep GD but at least fix that "pathway"

I don't believe DW want to spend the type of money.

Yeah agree.

However a retheme is 100% needed. I think that a new Straddle coaster type train such as quad bikes such as on Juvelon in Denmark would be ideal. Change  colour of track, retheme station to be more sympathetic to the Rivertown area and maybe some themed elements without going to huge excess around the course could be done fairly efficiently. I think this would be a viable option and would make an unpopular and uncomfortable ride into a family coaster that would be far more enjoyable.

Problem is as stated , I do not think Dreamworld would see this as a priority or even as a real option.

This won’t happen until they develop the rocky hollow land for new attractions. They way it’s presented now is very tidy and well maintained, but it for sure the bare minimum that I’d expect.

It’ll likely cost a couple hundred thousand to construct the new ramp and develop that area into something much nicer. The effort they did to try ‘clean up’ the ramping and stairs and hide the former rocky hollow station isn’t great, but again, until they are investigating into that area of the park it’ll remain as is.

I'm not sure what DW are planning for rocky hollow, you could call a attraction.

The problem is, the track layout sucks.

The asx release that was released a few weeks ago makes me feel there is very little planned for after JR. just refurbishments and upgrades. I would love to see a coaster get intertwined with ST maybe that would be a good excuse to theme it up…

DW would have many plans, but you're not going to announce anything before Rivertown is open.

They definitely seem to be getting some work done finally. I wonder whether they will use any of the old structure/track. If they don't they can hardly say they are 'moving' the vintage cars, it would just be a new ride. However I like how it's almost in the same spot it was in originally, albeit just a bit to the right.

I’d say every aspect of the ride will be new, but rather than saying the vintage cars are permanently closing (which people would be sad about) and here’s a new thing that’s basically the same (which people would complain/point out it’s just a new vintage cars), they’re saying it’s being ‘moved’.

There's no way they'd even consider removing their oldest ride now (if you can even call it the same ride as the cannonball express). It's one of the main things that makes DW an Aussie copy of Disneyland. I have noticed before though that there is less room, but when you look at some of the other places the train goes through, you can clearly see that it can fit through tighter spots then that.

Murrissippi Motors still no station.

93 days to 2025.

All they gotta do is slap a roof on those pillars and you already have an equivalent station to the old Vintage Cars

@DaptoFunlandGuy @Narraif the station is going to turn out like the concept art at the top of this image, there's definitely a lot more detail (and effort) going into it than the current vintage cars.

@New display nameWhile it obviously won't take a day, I can't imagine it'll take too long considering the foundations are already there. The station/queue for DW Flyer didn't take that long to build either considering its detailing. 93 days... plenty of time.

Plus....

Theming, queue, ride control system, lighting & audio.

Look, if it gets delayed it gets delayed. But, in all of the Rivertown press releases they've made so far, they have continued to explicitly state that they're on schedule for an opening later this year ('weather permitting', etc.). Harping on about how you believe it won't happen 'cause the undercover area for Murrisippi Motors's station isn't yet complete doesn't change that. I'll believe either scenario when it occurs or is otherwise confirmed, but anything remains possible until that point..

Dreamworld's been pretty good at opening new attractions on time recently, and though this is their largest project in a bit, them remaining confident that they can do the same for Rivertown throughout its construction is as good of a sign as any. Remember, the year isn't 2020, they aren't Sea World, and this isn't New Atlantis.

All the themeing is prefab, so it should be onsite in crates and containers. Once necessary structual and ride components are done, then they can have all this done in a couple of weeks. Even labour hire if they have to. The thing thats going to take the longest is letting any greenery grow in.
