Speaking of Six Flags.....

That is indeed a highway. The ride is going to be so big, you actually leave normal park grounds, and go across the road to some other land.

The park's 11th coaster, GOLIATH will be Six Flags Over Georgia's first "hyper" coaster, or coaster reaching over 200 feet in height. Because of its massive height and size, GOLIATH will not fit inside the park grounds and will actually travel outside the park and back. It will be the new welcoming landmark for guests as it screams overhead, just outside the park's front gate.

Looks like a very nice ride, but it really dwarfs Georgia Scorcher doesn't it? The Helix looks cool, I wonder if they are trying to capture the spirit of that famous helix on the SFMM version. But the ride is barely a Hyper coaster. Its height is 200ft and its drop is only 170ft.

So long as the company meets interest payments (creating what is known as "servicable debt" - debt which they are able to appropriately manage) with revenue from the parks they are able to spend anything else they make on rides and other capital expenditure. The other option (and this is the one which Six Flags have been using) is to spend more than they can and create a bigger debt. The justifiction behind this is that things like new rides will bring in enough guests to make them viable investments.
