DREAMWORLD CROWNED QUEENSLAND’S TOP TOURIST ATTRACTION Dreamworld was crowned Queensland’s number one Major Tourist Attraction at the Queensland Tourism Awards announced at the Brisbane Convention Centre on Friday night (18/11). Dreamworld was also inducted into Queensland Tourism’s Hall of Fame for Tourism Product Marketing, having won the award for the previous three years. Accepting the award, Dreamworld Chief Operating Officer Kevin Bradley said the park was very humbled by the accolade. “To be judged as Queensland’s Major Tourist Attraction by industry peers is an honour, to receive the prestigious award two years in a row is truly humbling,” Mr Bradley said. “This award recognises that Dreamworld has redefined itself as an all encompassing entertainment venue in a distinctly Australian context and continues to push the boundaries of the ‘theme park’ experience. “Dreamworld is an entertainment phenomenon, a thrill-seekers paradise, a multi-media production and broadcast centre, an educational interactive wildlife sanctuary and zoo, one of the country’s largest interactive classrooms and Australia’s leading specialty events venue. “Remaining the leader in such a vibrant and progressive region is no easy task and all the credit goes to our staff who work tirelessly to deliver an unforgettable experience for our guests. “This award tops off a brilliant year for Dreamworld with great financial results, the opening of our all-new white-knuckle thrill ride, The Claw and our brand new family attraction Wiggles World. “We are honoured to wear the crown for Queensland and hope for repeated success in the national awards next year," Mr Bradley said.
