Winter Sports World, Penrith - DA approved

Hi all, new here and thought I'd share since it hasn't been discussed yet. As of Jan 11th winter sports world received formal approval of their DA originally lodged almost a year ago. The development will cost $400 million and seems to be finally coming to fruition.

The facility will include a 300m long advanced open ski run for experienced skiers and snowboarders and will also feature a snow play area for families as well as "ice-climbing and crevasse outdoor rock climbing". The building will also contain a 4.5 star 170-room hotel with conference and function rooms. I believe the original proposal included an ice rink however that has since been removed.
