Blacktown City Council and the state government have recently approved the first stage. The new development project has the potential to be the largest business park in the western suburbs, expected to create 5000 knowledge based jobs. "Wonderland Business Park is very pleased to be associated with Australand Holdings for this development", said Stephen Galbraith, CEO of Wonderland Sydney. Australand Holdings chief executive officer, Brendan Crotty said "Australand has been looking for a site in the Western suburbs which will provide a long term supply of industrial land that is well served by transport links. We look forward to completing the development of the first phase of the Wonderland Business Park which will produce 160,000m2 of lettable space by early 2006 and thereafter proceed with the joint development of the balance of the site with the Sunway Property Development Group of Malaysia".
