you forgot

🎶Hello and welcome. You are about to board the MRT. Metropolis Rapid Transit. Your safety is important to us, so please give us your attention for a moment, even if you are a frequent traveller.

By now...

It's those kind of earworms that you absorb standing in lines for hours listening to the same thing repeatedly and i'm sure many here could recite the entire script from memory.

I can tell you, even with Wonderland closed for over 20 years, I can still remember several attraction spiels. I'm grateful that much of the pre-recorded stuff - such as on Space Probe - was able to be captured so I could relive those memories too.

Hopefully someone out there has a copy of the current pre-show video - maybe one day it finds the light of day for everyone who does remember it to listen to again fondly...

I'll just leave you with this.

I don't know which triggers me the most... the SE loading spiel, hearing MXPX's cover of Scooby Doo for several hours at a time on a non stop loop in High Zone or this song.

Honorable mention to the music in WBK during White Christmas (Alvin and the Chipmunks anyone?) or Hooray for Hollywood non stop.

 - This exact version funnily enough was the same one that Movie World used (without the big intro part though)

Interestingly the reopening date for Batwing has been removed.

Now I’m not saying it’s not reopening, but based on Villages reputation, this is a public service announcement to let people know they should go ride it this weekend… just in case!

a little overly dramatic there. more likely they've had to close it for replacement parts that won't be available in a known timeframe so they can't forecast a reopening date.

Or they liked our suggestions of a drop tower of sorts to replace doomsday and they don't want to have both in the same park... ;)

Probably, but I don’t trust them to not just close it either. Just look at Bermuda, Looney Tunes, Monorail, Skyway, Vikings Revenge, Pirate Ship, Sea Viper, Aqualoop and Mach 5… just to name a few.

I can pretty much guarantee that Batwing is not going anywhere and something has happened. The ride for the most part has been very reliable except for a few teething issues in its opening weeks and a cable snap in 2012 (This can happen on any ride). I'm not concerned in the slightest about the future of Batwing.

They've certainly got a track record, but i'm sure most of those attractions, when closed, they had every intention of reopening if they could.

I can tell you right now... 3 of those they had no intention of reopening once they closed (Bermuda, Tunes and Pirate). Pirate was up for sale anyway, no idea why they got rid of it when it had no major issues. Bermuda and Tunes had structural issues that were going to be very expensive to repair and from the very early stages of the closure they knew it wasn't going to reopen sadly. I still remember operating Tunes on its last day of operation, the last operator to be in the lift room when it closed.

It's open today.

Oh, probably should have read the rest of the post.🤣

New theory.

Batwing is being relocated within the park to the Super Villains Unleashed.

Speaking of track records, the relocation of Flash says if the above rumour is true, Batwang version 2.0 opens in Summer 2037.

We have rumors spanning THAT long?

@TV15 possibly, but that could still be leftover from when that was the original opening date. Like how Scooby was ‘reopening’ June 3 because it didn’t appear on the calendar.

My point being, the dates written had a from - to, but it was updated to just be from

It's now been fixed

Given the end date lines up with Supermans, and it was "unscheduled maintenance", perhaps is it something on Superman that requires access from the Batwing side? The Flash is in a similar boat.

Hence why they were able to give a few days warning?

there was a crane up this afternoon when driving past, but i couldn’t tell if it was for Superman or Wizard of Oz (i’d guess Superman as Flash is now listed as unscheduled maintenance.)

Batwing and Superman always go down together in February. Batwing may have gone down early for unplanned reasons but the scheduled maintenance periods almost always align.

Normally Superman was Feb - April and Batwing would be March - April depending on when the school holidays / easter long weekend were. If the easter long weekend was in March it would go down in February but if it was in April it would go down in March.

Would make sense for Flash and Superman to go down at the same time though. If possible I'd try to have Batwing not at the same time anymore because 3 major rides at once is a bit sucky...
