What ride should replace Doomsday Destroyer?

Recommended Posts

After seeing Danse Macabre at Efteling. I think the Dynamic Motion Stage by Intamin would be the perfect fit for MW. Infinitely themeable, mixes a ride with a show, and also is advertised to seat up to 100 or so riders. Im not sure on the footprint but I doubt it would take up too much space, a potential perfect fit to replace Doomsday and/or WB showcase?

This is way too well thought out, and a very fitting attraction choice for Movieworld - VRTP would never.

I mean, the land is right next to SDSC, so a Scooby version of this would be perfect.
Could even be a Western theme to tie the Scooby/WWF areas together.
(With a shady queue, of course..)

in @Ogre latest video you can see Doomsday being stored in the back storage areas near Paradise Country and it looks like the ride was taken apart VERY carefully. with the foundation still in tact, including all wiring and ride booths, and the ride being very carefully pulled apart, could they just be refurbing the ride? it would’ve been pulled apart for its 10 year inspection next year anyways, maybe Intamin’s refurbing the existing ride and figuring out what’s wrong with it.

If they were doing that, then the question is why all traces of the ride including the sign on the roof were removed? Seems very fishy to me, and with Village's usual way announcing rides being permanently closed months/years after the ride last operated it wouldn't surprise me if it is getting scrapped

There are photos showing the wires all roughly cut to the arms prior to dismantling. When have we seen a ride being refurbed entirely removed from site, all ride signage removed, and a large proportion of surrounding theming removed?

Coupled with its horrible downtime, maintenance issues and cycling, i think it’s a safe bet to say DD is not returning

If doomsday was coming back it wouldn’t have been deleted off the website or park map.

The rides wires have also been chopped up into little bits rather than you know unplugged I think it’s safe to say it’s not going anywhere

No the ride actually had a design oversight where the wiring looms were only long enough to reach between sections, so if the ride were ever dissembled, it would require cutting.

people actually had to climb inside the tubes which was completely unacceptable as it's pretty much the worst confined space ever. 🤦‍♂️

Spotted- Doomsday and Lex Luther have moved to greener pastures and are now just outside Kansas watching you while you ride Twister. The immersion is immense.

maybe they’re going to chuck them in a maze for FNs…

They talk a big game about immersive theming, but consistently dump waste in public sight lines.

Like on Wild West Falls, that old boat looking thing that I assume is for a parade, just lays there collecting dust.

It's concerning how little they care. I know I am just reiterating what's been discussed for a long time, but I cannot wait until the private equity firm has had enough of leeching the park and park goers dry and sell the company.
