Dreamworld’s future new land

Featured Replies

Dark ride please! Plenty of room over Blue Lagoon way, unless it's been reserved for something else?
An arm ride or trackless cars ride would be amazing, but any dark ride would do.
Plenty of room as well at Rocky Hollow and if they re-jigged GD's queue to get rid of the elevated areas.

Rainforest would be my pick if it had to be a nature theme.

As @wikiverse said, pulling out Gold Coaster and everything from Kickback Cove through to the edge of Tailspin (I threw arcade in because it needs to go), would lend itself to a lot of land to play with. I'd regret seeing the demise of Thunderbolt's station, but that may be inevitable. I've not highlighted that station in this image:image.psd.png
Reef would be interesting, and fits the Ocean Parade area. I've been in places that have glass bottomed water features above you, and having an area you can walk that's "under water" would be unique - especially if they did it before Seaworld.

Like this but themed to a reef around you, with larger water windows above. Creates cool effects on the ground/"ocean floor".

There is also the entire Thunderbolt plot at the bottom of that screenshot that could be included without destroying the arcade.

There is so much room a that end of the park once they commit to removing GC. That whole area desperately needs redevelopment - including a better internal connection to WWW.

I also don't think nature theming is the way to go. There are so many better themes that lend to better stories than 'rainforest' or 'reef'.

I also wonder if those BOH facilities to the left of the Exhibition Centre could also be moved away from that space to where Dreamworld's non theme park developments will be built leaving DW the ability to use that plot of land along with kickback cove and some of Gold Coasters plot for a new ride or two.
