The Red train is affectionately known as the Cannonball Express, and it was the first train to run the tracks at Dreamworld. The Red one is a Baldwin train, and it and the Green one (A Perry Model) were both ex Queensland Cane Trains. This site pretty much confirms this. http://www.australiansteam.com/sugarframe.htm The Baldwin was out of action for about 1 to 2 years for "Maintenance", and only this year entered service again. The Perry has gone into extensive maintenance this year, pretty much as soon as the Baldwin entered service. It is not expected that we will see the Perry back for about another year or so, and by the time that happens, the Baldwin will need to go back into an overhaul as it would have been exhausted (not my wording, the railway operators at the park said that).
