Luna Park Ghost Train fire plaque

The Ghost Train was located where the Big Top stands now. The small plaque (if it is still there) is on the outside wall of the Big Top in between the main foyer entry and the sideshow games that are built into the Big Top. On a side note, the Ghost Train was a particularly large attraction - nothing like the small portable ghost trains you see at carnivals now. It spanned quite a length of the park and parts of the Big Dipper were built over the top of it. I have seen pictures taken of the ride after the fire and it is just total devastation. Considering the length and duration of the ride (and the probable lack of fire exits back then) you can see it would have been very hard to escape the ride once it caught on fire
