I believe it won't be a rollercoaster, I think they would gain more of an advantage building a simulator type attraction. Now that's not saying building another simulator, but for example a laser tag attraction, you are Justice League members versing DC Comic Villians. That's just a quick suggestion I got off the top of my head but I'm sure they can be creative to build something with a great theme that isn't necessarily a rollercoaster. I think it would serve MW better building an 'attraction' here, and then building another rollercoaster type ride in the LTRR building, because they really do not have all that much catering for the non rider type people.

Rappa, I will say one thing for the 'forum & blog' community that exists on the internet today - especially in relation to jumping down each others' throats... For years i've lamented the demise in proper spelling and grammar - it seemed that teachers didn't care if children couldn't utilise the english language properly or not. You'd be lucky if the teacher noticed the poor use of your/you're, and you got a red mark... but the wrong usage online? may God have mercy on your soul.... (no that isn't mine - and it isn't original - but so so true!)

This is something the wife and I have been thinking and I think posted here before they released the teaser that it would even be a JL attraction. It just makes the most sense.

Given the teaser "Superman needs you" and other teasers which seem to feature other DC characters, along with the very credible rumor that Sally is involved (Sally of course famous for their shooting dark rides), I don't think it really takes an Einstein to figure out whats going on in that building.

You are completely correct joz, but: Posted 28 September 2011 - 06:33 PM "I would LIKE to see something like the Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin..." "The wife and I were talking and with the Justice League Movie in the works, why would they not rip out the batcave and make the JLHQ and we have to help them save the world from some catastrophe by getting into special pods? This would completely revamp the BMTR2 area both inside and out, give a new attraction using the current setup with some modifications? Especially since we have a Batman, Superman and now Green Lantern ride and the new DC Universe store all in that area? Either way my money is on another superhero theme." As I was saying the wife and I have been on that tangent for quite a while (according to the date the above was posted), 8 months... MW released the first teaser image with the sillouettes in February, 5 months after my above post. I am not pointing out the obvious based on recent releases by MW but based on my thoughts when BATR2 closed down.

To me the Ferrari world ride looks really disjointed and a pretty poor integration of live sets, screens and the vehicle. Looks more like technology for technology's sake really. Hope the park does something better than that.

yet another dc comics ride i swear mw are getting paid by them

I think you'll find it's the other way around! My guess is this will be the last one for a while. One of the top managers from MW did mention in an article that they were creating a superhero precinct and I'd say the Spring attraction will complete the area for now. Will be good to see them focus on other areas and themes and I'm sure that's what they'll do next

They really should use the China Town alley as a 'DC Comics World' entrance and then make it go onto the new attraction by having a 'DC Comics World' logo somewhere in the garden as another entry between Superman and Batwing.

If you're talking about Justice League Mortal, that idea got scrapped so to it costing over $200 mil to make beacuse our dollar was so strong and George Miller (JLM, and Mad Max Director) couldnt find anywhere else/cheaper....

^Indeed. Lol, guess it would be a case of: Leave the station, do one turn, then come back to the station because you've taken up the whole building by that point.

LOL! Exactly! That's why I can't understand why so many people thought it was going to be a Spiderman/Transformers style attraction considering how small the space is. I guess maybe some people weren't aware of the size. I know when I found out there was going to be a new attraction going into the old Batman building the first thing I did was look at Google maps to try and see what they would be working with

If you look closer at the Ferrari World ride, you'd actually notice it all occurs on three screens in a room only slightly bigger than the batman ride(if you include the old pre-ride batcave + the Pre-pre-ride Wayne Manor area)....

And if you looked closely, you'd notice it was actually 8 screens in total, interspersed by those crappy blacklight sets: 1) Coming out of tunnel, racing along cliffside road. 2) Bouncing through rainforest. 3) Snowboarding down the mountain and escaping avalanche backwards. 4) Short ice cavern, falling off cliff into sea, chasing behind the red stingray. 5) Volcano 6) Chasing horse across desert, which morphs into a city. 7) Character rolls up in a ferrari and says "Enough fun and games, time to finish this, winner takes all!" (Short scene) 8) Final race through arena where the roads keep switching. There's not a lot you can do in terms of downscaling a ride like this. On a coaster of course you can just slow it down and make the turns tighter. But 4D rides are built around the human field of vision and if you've got a car of 8-12 people then that always implies a minimum size for that to work, and a setback of the car from the screen and so forth.

And even though it will probably be a 4D simulator

I don't think its going to be that all. I'm speculating and it appears most on here are that it will be a shooting dark ride, there is also rumours Sally is involved which specialise in this type of attraction. So if I have to put money on it, mine goes to shooting dark ride.

If that ends up being the case I think this will be an excellent addition to MW. Not only would it bring a much-needed dark ride to the park (especially after the recent closures) but would also be bringing a whole new type of ride to Australia. Shooting dark rides are incredibly popular in the US. Of course we can trust good old Village Roadshow parks to deliver once again
