This is what happens when I go away for a few days and don't check previous pages.

I'm fairly sure they did post that it was getting demolished, but edited it to say it's getting re-done. SWs website does say that's it's getting major renovations.

And that is why I come here for news on what's happening and not random pages. You would think with their Village bias they would be more in the know of what's happening.

So does anyone have any information or gossip in regards to the Dockside Tavern? The Theme Park Social Network did post a picture of the tavern but it just looks like it's getting a repaint. Any realistic ideas on the extent of the renovation?

I'm at Sea World now. 

The truck parked next to the Dockside Tavern does have "Logan City Demolitions" marked on it, which explains why the TPSN guy thought the building was being demolished. 

They seem to be completely stripping it internally. The doors and some of the windows have been removed. The roof of the balcony facing towards the kids area has also been removed. 

In other Sea World news, the monorail just went past and it no longer has Nikolodeon wrapping. The original white paint is visible once again. I prefer it this way, you can see through the windows!

I am really excited for this area. I have a young daughter and I think its just going to be perfect for her. I am happy they are keeping the carousel as I used to ride it as a child. I was in the park today and doesn't seem alot different from the last update.

Great day to be at the park, with the GC Show pulling crowds away. Storm has been a walk on/one cycle max wait all day. Jet Rescue 5-10mins.

Oh I can see magic bikes! I like them, there fun and different.

Currently at SW, staff are getting debriefed about the kids coaster and is being tested.

Why a debrief? Are they pulling it down?

Sorry, probably the wrong choice of word. There was of the ride operator (I would say the supervisor) who was telling the other ride operators about the ride and showing them safety procedures. 

Does anyone know yet what date the kids area is suppose to be open. 

^All SW have said is that they are hoping for it to open in September.

They'll be aiming for the school holidays no doubt (final week of Sept). Lot of work left though. Hoping for good weather

...and here we see all the colours Dockside has been painted. As you can see - it was really getting on in years...

Lots of mechanics doing test runs of the new kiddy coaster today. Looks like it's not far off completion. They just have to get the other rides finished off now, and get the new show up and running (Dora one is done and dusted, it's closed and barricaded off as well now) and they will be all ready to open the new area

Well, it was about time they removed the wrapping, since the show they were advertising on the monorail ended a long time ago.
