Getaway!!!

That's the great thing about Getaway, Great Outdoors and other similar shows, they'll never put down anything. They're always positive, skipping over any negatives there might be about a particular destination. It was too brief, didn't showcase anything decent at the parks and it was just painful watching them try to pass off the carnival rides and the parks as a whole as anything but very cheap and outdated.

I agree with Richard on this 110%. What a waste of time. It would be nice if the reporters actually did a bit of research into the industry first and presented us with an accurate subjective report. I think they must just base the stories on the press releases they are given by the parks. Both those parks are continually trying to fool people into believing the rides are either 'all-time favourites' or 'the latest in technology' (cough)

It was a very boring segment, the best bit was when Natalie went on UFO and when she got off she looked like she was about to spew, and she kept telling the cameraman to turn off the camera as she 'needed a moment'. "The Bus is now leaving for Guts Ache Creek, Tasmania"

I'd love to see them do one of those specials in a place like Iraq. "For an extra $20 you can even be burned alive for being an infidel, but be warned, there are some shonky operators out there. But for those who want the ultimate experience, you can go inside an Iraqi house, and every 30 mins the building is bombed by US aircraft, and afterwards you can have a photo taken with a guy who looks like Saddam Hussein (which could be almost anyone in Iraq)"
