I thought I'd start a seperate forum for Leviathan specific construction updates, so that we can easily follow the coaster in one place.

This was my first time seeing the vertical construction progress, so I took my big camera lens to the park to get some close up shot of the construction

Despite the coaster not yet reaching it max height, it can already be seen for a lot of different points across the park

Howdy folks - here's the latest nearmap overview taken last weekend - 6 days old and hot off the presses!

  • Wasn’t sure if I should create a new thread or not so I’ll just put it here. But trident is on site. It’s great to finally see some progress. Seeing as though they haven’t started the foundation yet i

That's the beauty of building a wooden roller coaster. They seem to appear vertical very quickly wood Is much easier to work with than metal. Thankfully they can have a good onsite production line that aids to this.

Question: Is there any updates on Nearmap?

Not yet. Latest images are from 1st August and just show the empty slab. Pretty sure they were shared in another thread.

In the DC Rivals construction thread, people were demanding new photos often and it was very bad form. People are not going to go to SW just to get pics for this thread. Be patient, and then happy when new photos are uploaded by a generous member of the forum. With DCR, it was easy to get pics on people's commutes as we were spoiled. There isn't the same opportunity with Leviathan.

I can understand people's impatience, being a theme park/roller coaster enthusiast in Australia is tough at the best of times let alone amidst a global pandemic and all the other shit happening to theme parks. Also spare a thought for us in Victoria, living vicariously through these updates... but yeah I also agree, no need to hound people for updates they will come when they come.

I've a feeling Magician actually will go to SW just to get pics, but your premise is spot on.

If people are getting annoyed we are not getting as many picture updates in a day then geez I guess some within this community are needy. Just wait. Skipping a few days wont kill anyone. It will be more of a purpose when you see new photos compared to last weeks.

I think this topic is being raised in reply to your earlier @StingRay:

Oh right. I forgot sarcasm does not come across well.

I was not pressuring. Wa merely trying to have a light hearted joke. Sorry to any I've offended.

Oh the amount of fuel used to cover the construction of Superman Escape and the demo of Thunderbolt/install of Cyclone almost had me divorced... 😉
