Whilst on their backs the train negotiates a loop. Riders literally go head over heels, and dive headfirst towards the ground on the 2nd half of the loop.

Kings Island
A short drop off the lift leads into the "lie to fly", where the track twists over as it curves around the U turn. This puts riders face down for the first drop.

A look at the mechanics of the ride. Guests are held in by a padded vest that clips across the chest, as well as a lap bar with shin rests. A roller is on the side of each row of seats. The yellow "claw" pulls down on the roller to recline the seats prior to departure, and pushes up to raise them at the end of the ride.

Kings Island
The ride utilises a double loading station, so a train can re-enter the station whilst the other one is still parked on the other side. Flying coasters are slightly more involved in terms of harness safety checks, and the process of raising and lowering the seats takes time too, so the split station avoids any delays for guests getting off at the end of the ride.

Before being sent around the ride the seats are reclined back fully.
