Skyrush looping around into the final brakes next to the Comet. Whilst the train waits to enter the station the harnesses pop up a couple of centimeters...An obvious recognition of how tightly the ride holds you in.

The strength of the airtime, coupled with rather tight harnesses was too much for some, with the ride quickly earning itself the nickname "Thighcrush".

The ride has some of the most poweful airtime on any ride ever built, reportedly reaching -2g.

The brakes for Skyrush are high enough to clear the loading station of Comet, before the track drops down to the block brake and transfer track area.

Following the 3rd turnaround is a twisting hill. Those seated in the outside seats feel as though the train is mercilessly pulling them along.

This shot sums up the layout; a double figure 8. From the first drop the track turns and comes up into an airtime hill, a turnaround (Behind the camera) leads into a second hill, another turnaround, and a stengel dive...

The ride has a very steep drop. Partway down there is a mean trick where the track steepens again to the max angle of 85 degrees...A horrifying moment for those unprepared for it, with only the lap bar holding you in place.

The lift system works by having a small sled attached to a loop of cable, The sled runs on a smaller track in the middle of the main track. The sled is moved into position beneath the train at the bottom. The train hooks on, and is hauled to the top and over the apex, where it is able to disengage and head down the drop.

The ride reaches a height of 61m. Trains are brought to the top rapidly by a cable lift system that blurs the lines between lift hill and launch.

The ride features an evolution of Intamins "wingrider" seating, first seen on Furius Baco at PortAventura. The riders in the middle have a floor beneath them, whilst those on the outside hang off the sides, with their legs dangling.

The latest and greatest (At the time of writing), and easily the most intense ride at Hersheypark is Skyrush, an Intamin hyper coaster.
